If the path is selected just hover the pen tool over it and you’ll see a plus icon show up on your cursor. If you see that you can add points by just clicking without holding any extra buttons
duplicate the image before making a clipping mask, make sure its on a different layer and not just a different object on the same layer also like the dude in the vid said, if stuff like this is your goal when editing images then it's way easier to use photoshop (if u have it, i dont lol)
@@kinekine_csp okay but what if I wanted to cut out something and have it off to the side and the thing I cut it from as if I just cut a picture from a piece of paper and I need the paper with the missing picture???
@@MorganMosley-l3h you can select the avocado, then copy and paste it, and then do the reverse of what he did in the video, by inverting your selection before making a clipping mask. but again, if stuff like this is the only thing you do go get photoshop its a LOT simpler there
I've had adobe products for less than 24 hours. I used this method to trace around an object I wanted to remove from a picture, but instead I created a stencil with the pen, rather than it removing the object from the picture.. I clearly did something wrong but I'm very confused
I really like using the 'Export as' but I wish Adobe would just make 'use artboard' a default feature.. why on earth would I want to export everything that is around my artboard for christ's sake? It's got all my junk around it.. So many times I've missed it and had to go back to redo the export and click that button!
lately i've been creating most of the thumbnails on this channel with a template I made in illustrator and every time I export them I have to switch it haha, it's becoming a little bit of a habit now at least
@@PixelAndBracketIllustrator let’s hope they make it a default feature… 99% of the time we will All want to export what’s ON our artboard 😂 .. Are those thumbnails for any flat art tutorial? 😇

Using pen tool do we have to press ctrl to add extra points after selection is completed?

you essentially cut out the avocado like you cut out the background in the video after duplicating it so it's on a different layer
Now with AI, can automatically select the edge ?

once you make that outline, you have to select the outline and the image at the same time. then right-click and select "make clipping mask"
ok, now how do I remove the seed
Nice Sir
