  • Landmannalaugar in Iceland is a beautiful landscape photography location and in this video I try my hand at reviewing it. I offer information about the area, what I enjoyed and what I did not enjoy. I talk about what there is to photograph and some of the hiking that is available in Landmannalaugar.

YES, that's the kind of video we need for a diverse channel; makes it more complete and informative.

I think it is a good addition to your channel as it allows for the logistical approach of your trips to compliment the artistic aspect of your content. I know Mads Peter Iverson has commented on your channel before and its one aspect that compliments his channel extremely well when he discusses the trip and not just the photography.
Your images in this vlog were great to see again and your discussion also is a good reminder that it often involves hard work to get to the point of sharing these images

scotty4418 this is so good! Now I can focus on the vlogging and photography part when I finally get to Landmannalaugar and just link to this video for any practical questions 😁

Hi Thomas. I’ve been following you for a month or so and am constantly educated and entertained by your videos. This one is no exception. I was in Iceland 3 years ago but other than a couple of tours stayed in Reykjavik. You’ve made me want to return and get out onto the land. Just getting back into photography after many years away and you’ve helped me with the steep learning curve to get into the digital age. Look forward to whatever you have planned next, but I encourage you to do more of these.

Thomas I usually dont comment on your videos however I do watch them all. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Love your honesty of the layout and what to expect when traveling to these locations you have been to. It gives a good idea on what to expect for those they may travel there as well as give insight on what your experience was like in general. So keep up the good work I think everyone benefits from these videos.
Also on a personal note. I would like to say we all appreciate the positivity from your videos even tho you maybe going through difficult times. Always time time for yourself and keep up the positivity, its infectious.

I like all your videos since the very beginning, not only because of the beautiful images that you take, but also because of the less beautiful ones that you show too much efforts to shoot! And about this video, I really enjoyed it so much until you said that you didn’t care how the people will photograph their shots! We care about your videos and we are always there when you upload any of them and we care so much which means that you also should care! And even if a lot of people who watch the video didn’t even noticed it, I am sure that the ones who noticed it, didn’t feel right about it!

I like this sort of video. Keep up this format. Landmannalaugar is as breathtaking as you described it. I hiked this peaks several times and every view is different to the others. Perfect for photographers. But so many people do not respect the unique nature there. They hike off the paths, regardless of the fragile plants they trample down. They leave rubbish. Just to get the best view or the best selfies. That's why the icelandic government recently closed several beautiful areas, like the famous Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. This is incomprehensible. Please help to protect this amazing nature with all it's uniqueness.
