What happened here:
30 minutes before this happened (AT LEAST!) Devin was talking to the luthier that made this guitars, and the luthier introduced his son (again?) to Devin. And Devin said "Nice to meet you!". The Kid answered with "We already met!". Then a short awkward but funny moment happened and Devin carried on with his set... Until half of this song when he finally remembered he have already met the kid.

I figured it was something like that, and, that's a beautiful sounding guitar.
There is no Wine on earth that ages better than Devins voice.
You know a guy who can literally blow people away with his vocal and compositional power in an electrified setting, and also hold people rapt with attention in an acoustic setting, all the while peppering in humour has something very special. He's a Canadian treasure, and I feel bad for those that haven't discovered the magic of Devin Townsend.
Best artist on the globe at the moment. Yes, big words, but prove me wrong!!

Very few singers have the kind of range and tone that Devy does. His voice sends shivers up my spine, he can be so expressive in his range. What a personality, too. He's definitely of a rare breed.

he's just not the type of artist to ever seem disconnected from the crowd.
ive been listening to devin townsend since i was 13 (all the way back to 2003) and seeing him become his best fully realized self (as displayed in this video) just makes me so happy. His energy is infectious and motivating. I hope I can see him perform live someday. Keep it up Devin!

Late reply, but you can see he has an Ableton Push connected to his laptop, two columns active, one guiate and one vocal - then the mix is sent to the in-house - that's why he's laughing at himself for too much echo (which for him is a combo delay-reverb-delay chain)
