Richard Smith and Tommy Emmanuel are the two bets guitarists in the world. What an absolute pleasure and honor to listen to these virtuosos. Unreal, these men aren't human.
Tommy is just so full of energy. He is feeling the music at all times and not afraid to show it. While Richard is so reserved....they fit well together.
@@PreservationEnthusiast yeah, how dare he be energetic and exuberant and love what he does. Real musicians sit in earnest silence and don't draw attention to themselves.
I know I'm getting old because this sounds so good to me, these guys are incredible and never even heard of this Richard Smith guy, he is a talented man.
Well, I don't know what a guitar player is supposed to look like, but man-o-man, if I'm standing in line with Richard Smith at the grocery store, the last thing on my mind would be to think he's a guitar player. DMV maybe, but not a guitar player. Just goes to show one can never judge a book by its cover. He's one of the best guitarist on the planet. Period.
@ron dadoo I'm not sure if councelling might help you Ron, I suggest heartful meditation as a way to see things more clearly or at least a little less clouded.
Tommy Emmanuel, the cheeky bastard, almost slides off his chair trying to bang off those high notes,... way to show off, geez, leave some talent for the rest of us mere mortals
Well, there's this great stuff, contrasted with what passes for 'music' nowadays... It's a true pleasure to hear terrific musicians playing amazing music. Very grateful.
Love the way Jim quoted the melody of 'Fascinating Rhythm' at 1:56 & then a lil bit of 'Mexican Hat Dance' ..very clever. He quotes another well known song too right at the end of His solo 2:26 (Tommy laughs)it maybe a Shirley Temple tune but I can't think of its name ?.this is outstanding !
@@ebenclukey7293 I enjoy Richard a lot more, tommy is skilled but not better, just more show off. And for me the wisdom of put the music first is the most important part of the artist.
Everyone for themselves, probably the best guitarist in the world! Thanks for a look at the true music. Far Away from electronic music and the three chords singers.
This seem based in melody, harmony, and progression. Rap is predominately rhythm oriented. They seemingly are at opposite ends of the music spectrum. I play the drums and love rhythm, but I MUST have many elements including melody, tonal progression, syncopation and rhythm working in concert to please my ear.
Richard Smith is the ultimate master guitarist
My brain forgot about everything else and just concentrated on that. A nice little break from all the chaos.
Thank you.
Richard Smith and Tommy Emmanuel are the two bets guitarists in the world. What an absolute pleasure and honor to listen to these virtuosos. Unreal, these men aren't human.
Decades of talent…right into my feel good folder
Tommy’s solo was just superhuman! Awesome! 👏
Tommy is just so full of energy. He is feeling the music at all times and not afraid to show it. While Richard is so reserved....they fit well together.
Tommy is such a show off, it's all about him! While Richard plays it like it is.
@@PreservationEnthusiast yeah, how dare he be energetic and exuberant and love what he does. Real musicians sit in earnest silence and don't draw attention to themselves.
@@cocolossal69 Richard is a real musician but much more muted. Tommy is also a real musician but a real showman (show off).
@@PreservationEnthusiast so, they're both real musicians. Awesome musicians. But... nobody likes a show off, eh?
@@cocolossal69 Tommy is a likeable show off. And also debatbly a better overall player than Richard.
This is the past, present and future of jazz guitar. Magnificent.
Yeah! It's so cool that I live in this world!
ru happy or just from venus?
Takes lsd once
@@lenny3804 the breakthrough experience.
Cheers!
It's amazing to see and hear three masters playing together!
I love Tommy’s music. I can’t stop smiling. Even after it’s done.
I know I'm getting old because this sounds so good to me, these guys are incredible and never even heard of this Richard Smith guy, he is a talented man.
I'm 18 ! It sounds better than anything to me
Nevaxlux Nene same here
Yeah, im 19. feel old yet? :D
Its just perfect und fun to listen too..
how do you feel now?
How liking this relate to age?
No need for any bass players here. The way Richard and Jim trade the bass lines is incredible.
The dude on the right is Richard Smith and yep he can sure play.
Sweet Jesus just look at Tommy. He is truly a person who can speak through a guitar
Well, I don't know what a guitar player is supposed to look like, but man-o-man, if I'm standing in line with Richard Smith at the grocery store, the last thing on my mind would be to think he's a guitar player. I saw Rich not knowing who he was. OMG, my jaw was on the floor the entire time. And we became friends.
Hit it perfectly
Cool!
Check out his wife ( the lady with the fan) one hell of a good cello player !
@ron dadoo I'm not sure if councelling might help you Ron, I suggest heartful meditation as a way to see things more clearly or at least a little less clouded.
This changes my mood. How powerful energy this music have!
Incredible. They play jazz like real jazzmen.
Tommy Emmanuel, the cheeky bastard, almost slides off his chair trying to bang off those high notes,... way to show off, geez, leave some talent for the rest of us mere mortals
You can definetely his his struggle to sit still while playing.
To be there watching and feeling the flow must have been ace
Love these guys together!
Sublime! Love seeing guitarists just in the zone making beautiful music
And Jim Nichols, one of my favorite guitarists is no slouch that's for sure. I like it that he doesn't have so much Reverb/Echo on this one.
Well, there's this great stuff, contrasted with what passes for 'music' nowadays...
It's a true pleasure to hear terrific musicians playing amazing music. Very grateful.
So very true
With some genuine skill vs mixing boards and computer controlled sound!
D.B.: I don't doubt the mixing, as I do some of that myself.
I don't know what you mean by 'computer controlled'. Recorded? Enhanced?
Love the way Jim quoted the melody of 'Fascinating Rhythm' at 1:56 & then a lil bit of 'Mexican Hat Dance' ..very clever. He quotes another well known song too right at the end of His solo 2:26 (Tommy laughs)it maybe a Shirley Temple tune but I can't think of its name ?.this is outstanding !
Last thing you mentioned sounds like 'Stranger in Paradise' from Kismet.
Stranger in Paradise.
That is REAL guitar playing !!!
could listen to this all day! :)
My sincere gratitude for sharing that!
Kings Island brought me here.
It don't get no better than that !
Can someone please give that lady a pair of drums! What a jam!
fantastico, parabéns pelo enorme talento, um dia quem sabe chego a este nível
meravigliosamente bello!! Adoro tantissimo questo brano!!
Man, guitar heaven right here on earth! This is amazing! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Purely magical.
Da gusto escuchar a estos tres magníficos maestros de la guitarra. Uuuf
OMG, my head just split open. There's so much "monster" great playing here.
Awesome walking basslines Jim
Absolutely!
That was terrific!!!
Fantastic guys. Tommy, get back to Vancouver BC for a show some time, please!!!!!
absolutely filthy first solo and ending by Richard Smith (i think thats the guy on the right's name)
Yep
Richard Smith, if. They are to ever add another CGP he should be on the short list.
Couldn't agree more. I think he's already earned it. I believe Tommy is the most skillful guitarist who's ever been.
Actually Richard Smith is a CGP from Chet Atkins himself. He was a child prodigy that Chet first played with at the old age of 11in England.
Janel Wagner but I don’t think Chet ever actually named him CGP, did he? Should have, indeed.
My favorite Tommy stuff is his swing.
Great players awesome pickers !!!!!!🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
soooooo cooooooooool Thanks for sharing!
The dude on the far right playing with no mic or pickup is a total beast with a deliciously aggressive attack to his playing.
Could be a trick of the light and all, but there's a lead sticking out of his guitar, just fyi :D
Richard Smith. He’s got a right thumb like a metronome.
they are equally talented
Richard's amazing but no human has ever been as skilled as Tommy Emmanuel.
@@ebenclukey7293 I enjoy Richard a lot more, tommy is skilled but not better, just more show off. And for me the wisdom of put the music first is the most important part of the artist.
@@OsvaldoBayerista I like them both but in a skills contest Tommy wins.
Watching the best just having fun.
These guys missed out in life on thousands and thousands of hours of reality TV and video gaming! So sad!
2 were famous..
brassbando 😊 And it shows!!
wanting something for others they may not for themselves, should not be envied
@@davesmurf6693 He was joking you Spoon.
Funny!
The way Tommy casually tuned his g string half way through and kept in with the song that's a sign of a true master
No He was just hanging His thumb pick on the E string .
Trust me that was one of the easiest things that he did!
Wow, real humans with insane talent playing their hearts out in today’s age. A very rare thing indeed.
Youth aren’t interested in real music; if the iPhone isn’t producing it via an App😀
Tommy Emmanuel looked like he was having so much fun 😃
Richard is awesome
WTF, that lick Richard Smith plays at the end is nasty.
that's a C 6/9
@@Suire1000 that little lick before the last chord
Remember the song Nashville Cats? Perfect example.
This Video IS SIIIIIIIICK, Good performance!
hahaha, the dad joke: my G string's slipping!
Amazing. Congrats for this beautiful performance.
I have no words!
The guy on the right looks like he's been sitting there for the last 30 years xD
It is just so good.
Yeah guys! Sweet tones! Expression!

Wonderful.
My only comment........Oh My, Fantastic!
Sublime!
very nice from thailand
Estupendos Magnificos Dioses de la guitarra
Those who gave thumbs down clearly can't be saved from their horrible depression
🤣✌️👍
Nice way to say "morons"
Look at how they stoml their right foot while playing their guitars.
kirby march barcena On my video it’s their left foot.
Tommy usually plays all 3 parts himself.....this must have been a walk in the park for him.
Speaking of "stompin"...that left leg.
Well, I guess the main thing is to have fun. I’m just a broken guy with a few screws loose. Didn’t know it till just now...
Amasing...

I often listen to this in my car.
I like the solo of Smith and that blue note at 1.39.
Just 3 dudes jamming :-)
Amazing playing aside, you can't beat the sound of a high quality acoustic guitar
Goddamn, that was good.
Great notes
Amazing
Cooooooool.
Só eu que percebo eles batendo o pé juntinho kkkk
Sounds cool!
Bravo x 3!!!
Bravo!
this is just like rap
yep almost note for note ;-)
😒
Except that this is music and rap is not...
