Hi Matt. The large one is set to arrive in about an hour I'm so excited. I didn't expect to get any new knives till the fall but was able to afford the lg Luzon and the Finn wolf , I have been looking at the Finn wolf for years BUT the Luzon was just for fun. Thanks
I've been EDCing the Luzon xl for a while now, I like everything about it, I can wave it while pulling it out of my pocket or use the flipper tab, it's super fast and smooth.
The big one is one of the most satisfying blades to flip open with the rapid invert maneuver. The blade has the perfect amount of inertial mass for flinging open.
Hi Matt so Friday I got the LG Luzon its so ridiculous , it's definitely well made the only issue was the blade centering is slightly off BUT the grinds and lock up are good not perfect but good . I probably won't use the LG Luzon BUT for >$38 I'm glad it's in my CS collection . Saturday I got the Finn wolf ? >$35 it's almost perfect grinds lock up , I already see the Finn Wolf becoming a favorite. I still need to sharpen my sk1 clip to see if I can resolve the roll from the blade closing on the inside of the lock bar , if I ever get around to it ?? . Thanks again .
Have both, the large for fun, and in my GHB, the smaller, nearly 24/7 carry, faster than a assisted or auto. Light, sharp and easy to resharping. Backup is a Griek, smooth descret light, and very sharp. The lock is very good to have on the big one. IF you go in with the intention to rumble with someone with the knife open, this make it more like a fixed knife
I just bought one of these from Amazon. 40 bucks is a good deal for a big knife. I wonder has Cold Steel improved the liner lock because it seems kind of thin for a big blade but the slide lock does make it even safer
I like my non regulation box cutter for expedient box opening. I enjoy safety for my knife because if I drag the back of my Luzon large against an area being opened with respect to a box's contents, it does not close on my fingers. It's quicker opening boxes, and slower out of my back pocket. I installed a leather thong. I don't use the clip. That's just me. I don't want a clip on my knife. My Luzon has no use as a violent weapon.
Most annoying safety is the CRKT M-16 family of knives. Auto activates and is difficult to disengage when closing. The Cold Steel lock is much more ergo and has to be activated on purpose by the user. I like the clip even if it is a little clingy.
There are a few people that don't like the Luzon, I'm not one of them. The first run had issues and that was awful but after those issues got corrected that became a very good knife with the desing they came up with and it made with budget materials but it done nice for the price. I was hoping Cold Steel redesign the liner lock to be like the Ti Lite but now the GSM is the new owners of CS it is what it is. It a good knife and the safely is fine with me but the clip is not the best.

I carry my Luzon 6 inch just for the JACKASSERY FACTOR 🤣
That 4" Luzon gives the Buck 110 a run for it's money , look out Buck 110 this one in 4" is very Tactical and deploy very quickly also 😎

I think the most important thing to note is that isn’t a safety, it’s a lock.
I had one of theses but the lock needs to be better. Rocker lock or something. But the price is awesome for a 6in blade. Good budget knife
