not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest series on kaldrostream. Have been watching with my gf these days =)
*Bought a 500 for an ultralight rod. It's very smooth **enjoyable.fishing** recommend casts great. One odd thing- the bale wire is a bit heavy diameter in my opinion for a reel of this size. But a great purchase.*
Good video, You could have gone into more detail but still good. I love the Penn Battle II. I have 5 of them. I have a 4000, 3000, 2000, and two of the 2500s. They have been solid reels for me.
I really wish you had shown the most important parts of the process. Actually fine-cleaning each part and then reassembly of everything. Putting it back together has always given me the most trouble. Do you have another video showing how you line up all the moving parts?
You're welcome! thanks for watching and i hope you are a subscriber to the channel with notifications on we just uploaded the battle III review and giveaway. tight lines.
Hi dear. I have bought two Penn Battle 2 6000s but to my surprise both have sort of crack at the top end of the bail arm. Can someone please confirm do all reels come like this or are mine damaged ? Thanks.
Looking to do saltwater and freshwater fishing which sealed spinning reels should I get? I have several which have to be replaced. I fish from an Ocean Prowler 13 Kayak.
Vim yea just make sure the are highly rated sellers and inspect the pictures well. I will say with a certain amount of confidence you get what you pay for. If the real retails for $150 and you end up paying $20 from eBay expect it to have some issues.
A little dab of clear fingernail polish wiped on that rough spot and you are good to go. Used it for rough spots on fly reels forever, including big saltwater reels. Great video and advice on taking the reels apart. I have a whole box of reels that Buddies have taken apart and cant get back together. I will sit down one day, put them back together and donate them to the City Parks Kids Fishing program. Gotta love WD40... the smell of guns and fishing reels around the world. Expensive equipment is no substitute for skill and knowledge.
@@SlotCityFishing I get down to Ocala area (Dunellon, FL) once a year or so. Rainbow River area is great kayak bass fishing. We sometimes jump over to the Destin area for saltwater. I will let ya get the P-cola area wired tight and then come visit!
The point you made about the drag is something I’ve always wondered about. I mean my Shimano 2500 size reels are spec’d at 20lbs, but I run them with fucking 8lb. or 10lb. mono. It could have a max drag of 5lbs. and it’d still be more than enough, who the hell is using 20lbs?
Great video bro. And great advice you dont need expense gear to have a good time on the water. Keep up the videos
Ryan garza thanks dawg! Thanks for watching!

I’m a fan of the cheapest reel possible for kayaking it’s gonna get damaged

You got any tips on buying used reels from places like ebay where you can't inspect them prior to buying ?

What reels do you prefer for the 2000/2500 range?
I actually use 3k size i feel confident i can land nearly saltwater inshore species with it and its still small.
