For an ex NZ post bike, Will's NBC is surprisingly tidy! We literally filmed this on Tuesday evening - so almost real time. @TheBadIdeaBros yeah ok mate no worries on FB and sticker, I'll get the missus to do that for me, and yeah my nbc was ex aus post, 45,000 ks, has 53,000 on it now, all I did was check timing chain/adjuster, valve clearance, oil change, oil screen, and chain. Going strong 💪 I did do a sprocket change to 16t front, and I think from memory 34t rear, and it'll cruise 80k at 6000rpm. Chucked a little hour/rpm meter on it with inductive pick up off the plug lead. Next thing will be new fork seals, and a bit heavier weight oil in the forks.
I remember when you were saying that you were getting the wee NBC, feels like some time ago now! I'm very happy to hear she's treating you well and it sounds like you're putting some work in on it. It'll be a beauty, I'm sure. 😁
@TheBadIdeaBros certainly reliable, and economical for sure for running to work 30 mins each way, roughly $13 per week in fuel, I have been checking out the new 450 Himalayan lately, and I keep hearing good things so far
Got to love a small Honda as a runabout! The new Himalayan is getting good press, I've not had the opportunity to get a leg over one yet, but I hope to soon!
