Thank you for your support Peter! Yes, we were both absolutely blown away by how eager the old girl was to spark back to life! It's honestly never usually that easy. 😂
Thank you for your support as always mate! 😁 This was a great project and obviously super satisfying when they come back to life with so little fuss. Very glad to hear that you enjoyed this wee series! The first ride short episode will be out very soon!
I love watching engine strips and rebuilds. The engineering involved in making an inanimate object seemingly come alive still amazes me. Piston rings for example, how someone back in the day in inventing the engine went, "You know what i think is missing, a few thin metal rings, that'll fix it" and thus piston rings were invented haha.
Haha, in all honesty I was mostly just relieved that the thing worked again after we tore it down. 😂 I do love your thought process though, it is a weird thing to stop and think about when you realise just how many individual parts are working together in an internal combustion engine to make it operate!
Thank you for your support Alex, very happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Yes, I was more than willing to change the timing chain while we had the motor torn down, but it wasn't the direction Warren wanted to go. At the end of the day, it's his bike, so the final call was up to him. 😊
Thanks for your support Sam! Yeah, the 350 Four isn't an ultra common bike, but they're very cool! I'm not sure what the engine weighs, but when I was lifting it into the frame it felt aproximate to two small moons. 😂 All jokes aside though, the mechanicals would be the majority of the bikes weight, there's not a lot of extras bolted to the frame of a bike from 1975!
Excellent rebuild 🎉, 1 kick after rebuild to start, unbelievable .

Congratulations Troy and Warren, life in the first kick, oh yeah 👌😁
I enjoyed watching this series of your rebuilds. 👍

@TheBadIdeaBros it's always a bonus when you put something back together and there is no spare parts left over!!!
Haha, that's always a concern! I do like to leave my "unknown nuts & bolts" container as empty as possible after every build. 😂
good job bros congrats a new life for 354
Thank you so much for your support mate! 😁 Yes, very happy to see new life in the old girl! It was a lot of fun working on this classic. ❤️
Big mistake not changing timing chain. Good video.

Sounds great! I'll be honest, I had no idea this bike existed so had to google. 169kg bike? How much does the engine weigh?!

@@TheBadIdeaBros That's why I was curious! With the engine out there is just some wheels left
Haha! It is essentially, yes! The 350 Four is actually a bike on my "to own" list, so it was a fantastic opportunity to work on Warren's. 😁
