If your on a budget like me check out the maverick quantum r flux 4s I got it a steal at £179. You get a lot of car for that money. Depends where you live like a surpose. Also do a rally car version same name but xr flux on end a think little bit more cash but as I say you get a lot of car for your money.
Yeah I converted my slash to a buggy years ago and 4s. Best upgrade by turning it to a buggy. Traxxas has been flogging dead horse with that chassis. Great video mate 🤔🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you very much for the support yeah its a old design I would to see something new but it is proven and tough and lots of parts for it so that is a good thing
@smitheshn6637 where do you get 200 for a esc motor combo? What are you trying to fit in there lol? Driveshaft and transmitter why? Wait for my next video to come out.
It looks a lot better geared up! One of my issues with Traxxas is the electronics. If they were as good as Hobbywing I think people would not be as upset by the price. You are going to remove the ESC, motor and radio to make it fun, lol
I never had a problem with the electronics I do wish the the bec and punch was adjustable but I never had problems. It really needs to be a 3s at this price in my opinion or drop the price 100 bucks. The syncro4 is basically the same price for 4s and a center diff sonwhynis this so expensive? I did the transplant last night letting the loctite set now I think it will live up to the Jato name its going to be like a rocket.
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife For a 2s system you would think they would use a higher KV motor to give it some speed 35-40mph. 3300kv is nominally a good 3s motor KV. I guess traxxas was going for longevity and this motor could last people a few years on stock gearing
Not as fast as my arrma typhon 3s or Team Corally 4s which are both less money! Traxxas really messed up! The cheaper one should have came with a vxl 3s. They need to ditch the 2s system it is not a good thing for the company. Horrible idea!
It looks much faster. I'd say the BL-2S system is strange in the fact of the 2s motor being only 3300kv. If it were say 4300kv on 2s this car would be hitting 35-40 mph no complaints from anyone. The 6s Arrma elitist are going to hate this car no matter what. They can run a $1500 M2C build and cry about the price of this all the want lol. It's a beginner car
It picked up a good bit of speed yeah I dont understand a 2s system a 3 at this price there would be little to complain about yes you are right one side or the other will always complain about something like ohh its plastic well so is all the 3 and 4s Arrma lol
@L2theWcarscoffeelife I'm not new to the rc hobby and it seems like a lot of steps you got to do just to change opinion . I could be wrong and maybe I should watch the video again 👍
@chrisricotta7063 there are definitely way worse cars to change a pinion. I just did this again and you dont need to remove the rear like I did. 1 screw on the front center brace, 2 screws for the black cover it and the center brace come off then 1 screw for the motor adjustment bam its out. 4 screws it was my first time messing with it so I took too much off yeah its too easy to do I have had way worse to deal with this is actually very easy
I guess this is proof you pay for the Traxxas name to get their support. Walk into an LHS and its Traxxas parts galore, Arrma parts? Not so much. Is Arrma a better bang for the buck? Absolutely. Are the replacement parts super easy to get? Nope, not like Traxxas. That being said, You can get a Typoon Grom going 60+mph for way cheaper than what it will take to get this to 60.
Not sure about that I did my grom got it to 50 mph its a tight area to work in and its not very usable they are just too small and light to work as good as this drives. Yes Traxxas is relying too heavily on brand loyalty asking too much in my opinion for what they are offering but take away the junk esc it is a solid platform it running through the grass at high speed and was planted and it jumps great its definitely strong you have to give it credit for that
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife Stuck a castle 1010 in my grom and hit 62. The same castle 1010's that people are hitting 100+mph in the Losi Nascars. Granted, they have some custom parts like Titanium center drive shafts and geared up a lot. Heck, I hit 47 with stock gearing on the losi NASCAR on stock tires (limiting point there) with a 0808 on 2s.
@smokinAMD you can get the speed if you stay on road my point was they don't off road at all my Typhon gets stuck on a blade of grass lol. At least the Jato can jump and rip through a field. In all honesty if someone were to ask me about this I would recommend the Syncro4 by Corally or the Truggy version of the Valkyrie over this all day long.
Im a budget guy, no money for toys this nice. Nice little change you done for some extra power. Love your channel!
Thank you very much your support keeps me going

If it had a real price of $299.oo then we are talking.
The Arrma Typhon 3s is 20 bucks cheaper than this with way better electronics all around.

350 dollars + 200 dollars for ESC motor combo, center driveshaft and transmitter.. what a joke

Bro, how did I miss this yesterday? WTH… lol. Guess I’ll catch up now.
It only went live at like 1 am you were probably on the Traxxas site staring at them thats how you missed it 🤣

I agree why put all that money in a 2s setup its mediocre at best.
I think the vxl 3s should have been in this from the beginning.
If you get me to like this thing… I’m going to be surprised, lol. Just messing with you bro. You are doing a great job though
Thank you and I see you having one soon 😅
@ lol… ahhhh

The 3s Arrma system fits perfect in these 4x4 Traxxas cars by the way. ESC bolt pattern is the same on the Spectrum 100/120a esc as this BL2S

@@trullmann plastic diffs in the 3s Arrma line that fail after a few weeks. The metal upgrade set is $90. Both companies cut corners in certain areas.
All that work to change a pinion gear 👎
@chrisricotta7063 all what work? Its very fast and easy

Traxxas is way overrated gtfoh really
