Bar is horrendously low but Tampa is probably the best set of pass catchers he's ever been given in Evans and Godwin.
And is also a spread offense…. Unlike half of the nfl right now
Baker also had Odell and Landry in there prime. As well as amari cooper. He isn’t a stranger to good receivers.
@@artworkkitchen7056 thats how u know u just looking at roster. Odell and Landry looked like they didnt even feel like trying, they dropped so many wide open passes especially Odell. and as For "Amari Cooper" he didnt play with mayfield.
@@Ilovetkd124he connected well with Landry. He couldn’t even get the ball to Beckham. As a Browns fan, I wanted him to succeed just as much as anyone, but he showed that he cannot play under the pressure of a blitzing defense. Over.
@@artworkkitchen7056 and when his o-line started having injuries his production went down. Can't throw good passes w/o time to throw
the one thing you can always say about Baker is that boy is tough, look at the hit he took when the cops tackled him. right on concrete
Lmao he did hit that shit pretty hard😅
I want him to win so badly, I love baker
Same man
He's done.
You’re weird
Wish Baker the best, I hope he does well this year 🙏 😢
I mean, even if he isn't very good with Tampa, he'll still have a role as a backup/spot starter in the league for a long time
Love your video J&D and keep up the great work
He really needs a coach that can maximize his potential. I do not see any coaches in Tampa Bay that are capable of doing this. Maybe if Bruce Arians were to come back. 😬
Todd Bowles isn't the man you want then lol
He really needs to switch to ping pong where there aren't INTs
Literally what stefanski did. Put him in an offense that was rhythm and timing, that protected baker. He had his best szn in 2020 then was at constant battles w Stefanski to have more freedom within the offense. This is when he crashed and burned, and if u watched every game it’s obvious it was more than any injury or circumstance
He’s just not that good
Dave canales turned old ass geno into a pro bowler
I love how content creators keep coming back to Baker because he drives engagement. It's like when all the Browns twitter accounts that had blown up started dying after he left because the Oklahoma fans didn't care anymore.
Baker was drafted by the worst team in pro spots history that hadn't won a game in 2 years. They won as soon as he stepped on the field. What the Browns did to Baker was criminal. 4 head coaches, 4 OCs, 4 QB coaches (1 who had never even played QB), and 4 playbooks in 5 years. That is absolutely inexcusable. Pat Mahomes has had one HC, QBC, OC, and playbook his entire career. Gimme a f'ing break. Inspite of all of this he stills win them their first playoff game in 30 years, on the road, against a division rival.
He joined the Rams last year without even seeing their playbook, without having ANY reps with the players, and STILL wins a game. The Baker hate is absurd. But you're going to keep doing it because it's the only time anyone pays attention to these Z list streamers.
He should never have played injured
Baker will be a great backup, maybe he’s got a chance at a good year this year but I don’t have much faith in the bucs doing well, i can see him in a Fitzpatrick role the rest of his career
If he fails he'll just be relegated to the backup then he'll become a journeyman QB, that's usually how it works .
He already is a journeyman qb. 4th team in 2 seasons sealed that label.
It doesn't matter what Baker does from now on. He did what 33 OTHER NFL QBs couldn't do: take the Clowns to a playoff and WIN with a team that went 1-31 before he arrived! NOBODY (QB) succeeds in Cleveland, except Baker. Maybe I'll be wrong but I think D Wat (The Predator) will be a bust in Cleveland. He might have decent stats but will not win a SuperBowl. I'm about 99% sure but who knows 🤷
“The predator” are you 12 bro ? Soliciting prostitution makes you a scum bag but predator is a reach and a half
@@WettoLoLlol he wasn't talking about soliciting prostitutes. He was talking about Watson sexually harassing and assaulting massage therapists who came to treat him.
The predator won't do better than baker. I'm sure of that.
@@nanathegoat5106You surely don’t watch football, cuz Baker at his best is not better than Deshaun at his worse. As a Bucs fan I can tell we do not want him here.
@dds_que7472 well DeShaun at his best was like top 5 so that's still not bad. Basically being kirk cousins isn't bad
I still thing the browns made a huge mistake getting rid of him.
Haaslam and Berry flat-out lied to him, and went to court a serial pervert!
🤣🤣🤣
Strange...Two other teams just so happened to repeat that same mistake for no apparent reason I guess. 🤔 4th team in 2 seasons.
@@williamfrazier843 You're just jealous of Baker's swag. Or drip.
@@edwardgaines6561 Speak "adult" when addressing me sir.
His career most assuredly will not be over if this season isn't great. He could easily be around a dozen more years as a backup, making 3-5 million a year.
But predicting how his season will go is tough. He's got the skills and competitive fire. Can he suppress some of his bad tendencies? If so, he'll be solid. But it's also possible the whole shoulder injury/Watson fiasco has messed with his confidence. We shall see. I can see him either be a top 10 QB or mediocre as heck.
His career as a starter will definitely be over if he can’t get it right this year and let’s be honest, is he really gonna ball out.Dudes been on 4 teams in the span of like 2 years.
@@thomasadams9395 Are the Browns, Matt Rhule led Panthers and post Superbowl Rams even real teams? Word on the street is "not really"
@@johnchedsey1306 well honestly I would agree with your assessment more than the ones above.Truthfully I think his career is already over.I guratee he last like 1 month tops in Tampa bay before getting benched.Dudes a backup at best now.
@@thomasadams9395 If Bruce Arians was still the head coach, I'd have more faith in a rebound. Todd Bowles is an outstanding defensive mind....but he might not be head coach material. That's what worries me the most about Baker's situation in TB.
I don't see Baker as a back up very long. I could see him as an actor.
He was never the same after the shoulder injury
That was stupid. Baker never should've tried to tackle the safety who intercepted him. Shove him out of bounds maybe, but not shoulder tackle!
Baker Mayfield is finna be the next Ryan Fitzpatrick
In baker we trust
Baker is a top 30 QB, he may even be a top 20 if healthy and in the right system. I wouldn’t look at what he did in Carolina as proof of anything. As a panthers fan I have to say that we probably put him in a bad position and our coaches sucked. On top of that he wasn’t even in Carolina long enough to learn the playbook either. He played on a beat up rams team with no time to learn the playbook either. His last year with the browns he was injured. So really it’s hard to judge him based off the last 2 seasons.
If you are going to have that brash and arrogant personality you better back it up because you will have a huge target on your back. The sad thing is that playing through that shoulder injury in Cleveland really f'd up his arm. Getting the ball down the field and sadly just like the Bo Jackson injury that wasn't found until weeks later, the damage was already done.
You mean like bringing the worst franchise in pro sports their winning season and playoff win in 30 years? Their first win in 2 years? Setting a rookie TD record in 14 games with a team full of trash players?
I do think in part it wa s the Browns mismanaged his injury making it worse and then deciding to chuck him overboard for Watson, and so far that's blown up in their face, and then he goes to the dumpster fire Panthers under Matt Ruhle and then the Rams were their own mess but he did have that win over the Raiders but still.
Really it's Baker needs to truly heal and get his shoulders fixed before he should starting again.
It wasn’t the Browns. Baker himself decided to play through the injury against the doctors recommendations
He ruined his career by refusing to sit and heal. Hurt his team too.
once i saw the video of him being tackled by police in college, i knew he was going to be a failure
This is a clown take🤡🤡
There isn’t one single kid that didn’t fuck up when they were young…. Especially boys
There’s nothing about Baker that’s a “Failure”🤧💯
Dudes in the NFL. We can say he “failed “ as a #1 pick. That’s about it
His head bounced pretty hard off that concrete damn
To be fair that was a pretty good tackle by the police officer lol
It’s crazy how Patty literally looks like he hasn’t aged a day
Peppermint Patty?
With Jim Haslem as the Browns owner…. There isn’t a QB alive that can save that franchise
Let Baker go to a decent franchise with a decent owner and he will flourish….
Tepper in Carolina STINKS!!
Rams already paid Stafford
I don’t know if Tampa is it…. But Baker isn’t a scrub💯
Yes .. yes he is
He has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, there is no reason for him to not play well. Mike and Chris Arent divas so he can throw all over without Odell crying like a little girl
I love Baker too, but he was also complicit in his destruction in Cleveland. He should have gotten shoulder surgery after Week 2 in the 2021 season. That would make it harder to get rid of Baker.
@@kiaadams104 And where is your proof?
Brought relevance to a TERRIBLE franchise in Cleveland….
Got traded to another AWFUL franchise cause the owner though it was a good idea to give a rap*st 200+ million guaranteed
Then got released and after a couple of days in McVay’s offense he orchestrated a 4th quarter comeback…. But they have to get a return on their $165 million investment in Stafford
So all you and I have seen with Baker is him being put in awful situations over and over again….
So there is nothing you can point to to say he’s trash bud🤧💯
@@edwardgaines6561 There isn’t a decent owner alive that doesn’t want the leader of his team to show the heart Baker showed in that season….
I agree with you as a business decision about the shoulder surgery… But throughout the history of the NFL, whether it’s Ronnie Lott cutting off a piece of his pinky to keep playing or Brady ripping the webbing between his pointer finger and thumb and still playing in that playoff game vs Jags.
That type of heart is normally rewarded…. But Haslem is a piece of SH*T💩💩💩
Welcome to the XFL!
Baker is still the best QB from that draft class
Ummm you mean Lamar Jackson is....
@@isaacannanjr2371 not as good as Baker, correct
The 2018 draft class with an mvp in Lamar Jackson and a top 3 quarterback in Josh Allen? Baker is not anywhere close to them.
@@mattfratamico670 thank you for saying this. Baker is and was overrated. Just a Johnny Manziel 2.0 clone that had better opportunities
In the same class as Allen and Lamar? You’re smoking dick.
Nice hat
I predict Baker if it doesn't workout with the Buccaneers this season he'll be a backup to Danny Jones on the Giants the start of the 2024-'25 season...
As a lifelong Browns fan, I really liked Baker. If the staff weren’t fucking incompetent and let him play way too hurt he had so much potential for the org.
I would have rather had him and Brissett than the fucking disgrace Cleveland has now.
I hope nothing but the best for Baker.
I don't put the blame on Baker Mayfield. It's a coaching issue. Too much instability with the Browns and other teams that took don't look like they want to put the time into elevating him.
Really wish Mayfield to be good this season.
Anyone notice the Baker picture in background
i wouldnt say the nfl ever loved baker. i would say fans and players did. But gms, coaches, and media were always robbed the wrong way
Shoulder injuries are an killers and it’s wild anyone can talk about him as a bust without mentioning his SHOULDER TEAR bro played through with
labrum tear on his opposite shoulder from his throwing arm. plenty of qbs played with his same injury before. quit giving excuses for him, nfl figured him out and he doesn’t read defenses well enough
Yeah, he had the torn labrum along with a shoulder fracture. That's why he wore the brace .... to keep the arm in the shoulder socket. OC Alex Van Pelt said Baker was "handcuffed" wearing that brace. How convenient people choose to ignore that aspect of the injury to support their narrative.
@@mnfrostbite9846 i’m not saying it didn’t effect him, it definitely did. but in my personal opinion i don’t think it limited him enough to be as bad as he was. a lot of the mistakes he made wasn’t because of his throwing ability, they were mainly mental, like decision making. let me remind you that he had the longest throw of the 2021 season while his shoulder injury was going on. it was the cardinals game
@@mattbelcik9787 He made that longest throw before JJ Watt tackled and fractured his shoulder. The throw was made before wearing the brace so it shouldn't come as any surprise, right? Have you ever endured a shoulder fracture? It's painful and the pain never stops. It keeps you awake. It wears on ya. He was suffering thru other injuries as well. So, yes, as a human being I can understand if his decision making suffered. What I don't understand is what the heck Mr Stefanski was thinking not placing him on IR.
@@mnfrostbite9846 definitely should’ve sat out. he still had a torn labrum when he made that throw. just saying it goes deeper than his injuries why he’s bad. he was also horrible in 2019. he’s too inconsistent, he’s gonna be like ryan fitzpatrick. just glad he’s not on my team anymore lmao
I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt as a Panther fan… dude ain’t it though. Don’t think the scenery changes that.
Panthers troubles ran deeper than the QB at the helm
The Dangerous One is coming!!🔥😮💨💯
DO A SAM DARNOLD VIDEO (im a diehard jets fan)
Bro couldn't even run from the police but he was supposed to be a high level NFL quarterback.... Ok sure
named my dog after him
as a panthers fan he was trash and got out played by sam darnold need i say more?
Nick Chubb the real reason Browns got better
Myles Garrett ?
@michael7054 yessir. Myles a dawg. And is top 3 edge rusher in football. Baker is... a .. bust.
@@kiaadams104 yeah totally agree with all that
Right ......because running backs win in today's NFL . And if you didn't notice the browns got worse last year with out Mayfield . And now with bill Cosby , I mean , Jeffrey Epstein I mean Ron Germey sorry the other mass womanizing sex offender . Watson . I'm cheering against them till he is gone.
@@kiaadams104 bust that won a playoff game and almost beat the chiefs in the divisional lol.
BUCSK
Which stat line is Baker? And which is Brady? 62.1% com%, 4.7% TD, 2.3% Int, 85.7 QB rating. or 62.8% comp%, 5.3% TD, 1.6% Int%, 95.9 QB rating....both age 25 seasons. Baker is no Brady but too many people are burying him based on are career of turmoil whereas Brady had a HOF coach and absolute stability. Give Baker a chance haters!
he'll be good
no he wont
"immediately excelled in Cleveland" did he though?
Good guy. He's just in a slump
His attitude sucks. He never took accountability for how bad he sucked on the Panthers. He was a terrible professional qb.
He might be good maybe I think.
That might be true maybe in my opinion i believe
@@miclvoorhis21 yeah maybe
What was up with that awful audio edit at 3:12?
Bro baker was just in bad situations and is overlooked but he will continue to suck in tampa thanks to the coach
I feel like baker is better than Daniel jones idk why he gets so much hate.
I think he'll be average tbh
He has been overrated since he came into the league. He wasn't a first ROUND pick, much less a first OVER ALL pick. 🤦♀️
He shouldn't have been the 1st pick.
Baker should have just stayed in Cleveland
I never liked that dude. It might be the buckeye love showing, but he was an average QB with Josh Rosen levels of delusion. He was never the reason just a piece.
Never got his hype, same
With Kyler.
He just isn't that good
I dont miss baker. I miss Jacoby
baker is mid to me
So why were they wrong? Because his iq?
No one in Cleveland misses Mayfield

I miss him tbh
@@Noctem_pasa Why?
I do!

Mayfields attitude an football IQ is the real problem, no leadership on his part and no posibilities of running and offense without a solid running game.

The Truth is He not that good
As a football fan I hope he can find success in Tampa bay, but as a saints fan… 🫤
