I would have had he not been a complete dick on his way out of Cleveland. He lied and made shit way harder on everyone. The instagram post and interview he did made everything 10x more difficult on everyone.
He tried to say that the Browns lied to him about looking at a new QB. However, that is not true at all. They told him that they were looking. He just assumed that it wasn't a superstar level QB like Watson so that he could have a chance. That's his fault, not anybody else's.

Baker will win a Superbowl ring before Watson will. Baker will have a career like Foles. Season injuries.. feeling hopeless.. but then bam, the good nature of Baker and his love for the game will captivate his first Superbowl ring. I hope he lands in Arizona. I think he would be a great fit for the city AND the revival of an injured player with much love for the game will suit him well there.

Baker will always have done right by me as someone born in Cle & a fan. Nobody since Kosar 30 years ago, has Cle had as prolific a QB. rookie of the year, turned a 0 win team to almost winning the next year. Playoff births for multiple years, multiple steelers wins & did this in arguably one of most bitter cities known to man. (Cle recentely ranked top 3 for 3rd year in a row for most unhappy cities in the US, metrics used for study were Murder, Suicide & Divorce)

also, i was at the Cleveland Clinic right at the height of his Browns career and randomly saw a Signed browns helmet in my neighbors room. He was terminally ill and recovering from a rough surgery. I asked him with a slight smile, almost knowing whos it was. He said it was Bakers, it was the kindest of gestures and for this reason among others is why i get so angry when i watched the city who built him up, after one iffy year which he still got them to the playoffs... injured, cheered to have him replaced with a record breaking contract on a player with proven baggage... i dont understand this city

Yeah he might be the unluckiest #1 pick ever. But this year Mayfield proved a lot with the Rams. He'll be a backup somewhere at minimum, and if he's coached well, he can win if given the chance. Browns asked him to do too much and then threw him under the bus for Watson, while the Panthers were never gonna work out for him. I hope he gets another shot, either with the Rams or elsewhere.

      2. telling our dumb fuck GM that he thinks Freddy kitches would be a good HC when our GM asked the second year player...........again baker brought shit on him self
      3. making playoffs and wining a game...................ALL THE WHILE, fighing with coaches telling them he hates here game plan and he wants to go down field more, good year but sowed the seeds of huge ego and distrust with the HC and oc
      4. seeds sowed in last year came to roost, and he got hurt refused to sit and play all season, still fighting with coaches.........off season browns try to get watson he says no, browns go back to baker to try to mend bridgers baker refues to meet HC and GM in texas, browns go back to watson and toss fully guarrented contract at him..baker gets traded.
      but yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Look, I was excited that Baker was on the Browns. His debut was awesome. I remember hearing the cheers for him, and the city finally found a bright spot. He did what no other quarterback has done in over 10 years for us: He brought us back into the playoffs in 2020. He really is exciting to watch, and I really loved how much energy he brought to the city. But the city turned its back on him because people wanted an "elite" QB. Now we have Watson, and he won 3 and lost 3. 2023 is the year everyone thinks is "the year" (a phrase we haven't heard like a million times🙄) and Im telling you right now that its not the players, coaches or personnel you hire, but the organization itself that can't win. Names like "The Mistake on The Lake" and "Factory of Sadness" aren't something you can get rid of that easily. The last thing I'll say is that everyone who wanted Watson, you asked for this. You asked for this and you will get what you asked for. If we are not in the playoffs by the third year of his contract, you can bet your money that the same people who asked for him will want him gone. I hope the Browns succeed because I'm a fan, but its the Browns, need I say more?

Im far from a football expert, i have only been watching/following this sport for a few years now but in my humble opinion, Baker is by no means the worst (or one of) QB in the league. He probably faced some unlucky situations that led to him being where he's at right now but i'm confident he could pretend for a QB1 spot in the NFL. On top of that, he's one of the rare guys that make the sport fun to watch, you can tell he's having fun on the field and that transpires and makes it enjoyable for a viewer. He also turned a franchise that was widely considered as terrible for years and years and restored some semblance of faith in their fans. While he's no Tom Brady, everyone can agree on that, he is still very much capable of running an offense, and i'm certain his uplifting personnality is inspiring to his teammates and makes them better. I hope he can find some stability and a team that trusts him
