Hello prof. Happy to see you again. Talking about "conscience". There are times when a cigars IS NOT a cigar. I guess you saw at least part of the video about the police behavior in the Uvalde massacre. I only saw a few minutes but a friend who watched the whole video noticed that the Uvalde chief of police, paralized by fear, while the shooter was in the classroom and all the cops were hiding cowardly, kept walking up to the hand-sanitezer dispenser to "wash his hands." He did it over and over and over.
Yesterday I just read about autoritarian and humanistic conscience by Erich Fromm and I was astonished with how accurate it is. I think there is strong relationship between conscience and with what Matias Desmet is saying, when he talks about »resonating knowledge«. I think that the best way to actually understand this is via Merleau-Ponty, because he talks about our prereflective situational awarness. So, I am really happy to see your new content. All the best.
