At 80 years old remind myself, that yea, today was the tomorrow I was worrying about yesterday. My ego is training me not to .believe. whatever that really means, in anything. I do engulf those aspects of life I encounter and will entertain ideas, but that doesn't require believing. This video brought me to tears, thank you, you said it all so eloquently
One of the biggest reasons I love Anthony Hopkins, I don't know him for anything other than his art. Class act through an through. A person from any background can appreciate him.
Sir Anthony Hopkins is the personification of awareness through reflection. Love his humble humility which seems to be in short supply, lately. This video made me reflect that certainty is dangerous and can be used as an excuse to to create needless harm and suffering. What would the ego do without it. Thanks, Anthony for this video.
I think I have been in the presence of the light you generated in the no time worlds. Anthony I know you live through the light and may we all find the journey we create. Love
Not so. The ego-mind is just another appearance in consciousness. Your true self, the Self is above all as pure awareness, ever unaffected. The mind can be completely silenced, it only persists because you find it novel and exciting. If you are as bad of a friend to your mind as it is to you your connection will cease. Once silent you will see that life goes on and is handled far better than you ever could. Then you will understand that you are not the doer in its entirety. The mind can get a taste though, just question this ~ How did you type this? How did you initiate the subatomic processes that lead to muscle contraction and coordination? If you really are the doer then you should know exactly how this is done, no? Or is everything just happening?

At that moment Hopkins changed his life by acting (pretending)....this initiated huge amounts of emotions not only for him but for his audience, who relished in his acting (pretending) as they too became addicted to the inner emotions that were evoked. Not realizing that those very emotions relied on ones subjective perspective....which in reality achieved very little other than a belief in an Illusion. And that is man's weakness...his insistence that his imagination is real. (Real as in tangible, measurable & verifiable by others) This weakness is prayed upon by all religions.
I ran into Mr. Hopkins while he was on the set filming at Union Station in Washington DC. Didn't actually meet him, but ill never forget it. He's like the F40 of actor's, legendary!!
i was going to share this. i changed my mind right at the last quote. Read it and then think about it. We don't think enough about priorities. In a sane world of sovereign people homelessness, poverty, starvation, cancer, selfish hierarchy are things we read about in history books. They don't happen when we know we are all sovereign... equal.. men and women. This is our duty.. to learn how to express our sovereignty. ro. i love you 🕯❤🙏

This was fascinating, I am a huge fan of Sir Anthony Hopkins, and a Lion in Winter is still one of my favorite movies of all time. I had no idea he was so spiritual and a follower of non dualism. The only thing I would like to add to his quote at the end, is that there actually is no thinker. You never think, have never thought you are only the observer of thoughts. The body mind has thoughts running through it, but they are not your thoughts. There is also no doer, you have never done anything, the body mind is on autopilot like a character in a movie, you have no control, no say, in what the character does and are only the silent witness to an illusionary person that is merely conditioning doing its own thing.
🕉️🙏 Very well said and clearly observed. What we Are can only be pointed to and then words fail. The Great Mystery, ineffable. Om, Shanti Shanti Shanthi HariH Om Tat Sat 🕉️
Would you say that there is no one who suffers even when, say, they are tortured by some cruel person? And if no one suffers then does anyone do anything wrong when they hurt another, outside of the dictates of state law? If someone gets away with murder, for example, will they experience some type of karmic payback in the future? How could they, if there is no doer involved?
@@KilayaCiriello yes exactly their are no persons, nobody to be a victim, nobody causing pain, nobody receiving pain. That is just a story you’re telling yourself. When you dream sometimes someone in your dream is doing something bad to you or vice versa, but in reality was there really anyone getting hurt or anyone even there to begin with? When you wake from that dream you enter into another one, this one. In this dream you think your a thing, a person, that things happen to and that you and others do things. You are only pure consciousness or awareness. If you were a person you would be the emotions, you would be the thoughts, you would be the personality, but your not, your only the observer of those things and you can’t control them. Your not in the body that you identify with anymore than your in my body or your neighbors. Your relationship to your self image that you call you is very much like a character you watch on a tv show. You can't control what happens to the character on a tv show and you can't control their choices and decisions, just like you can't control the character called you that is nothing more than conditioning on autopilot.

@@KilayaCiriello Pain and sadness are not happening to you, your merely noticing it. You can’t be hurt as there is no-one here to be hurt. You are not a someone or a thing, you are nothing, an Aware nothing, that notices that there are feelings and emotions present. But they are not your emotions, anymore than a sad character in a movie or tv show is you. You’re like an audience member that is caught up and immersed in the drama taking place on a reality tv show, except you are very, immersed in this experience as you have deeply identified with a particular form, that you have created a self image of. Yes there is emotion present, right now there may be sadness, but emotions are like thoughts and the weather, they come and go and aren’t you. You are untouched by all emotions and all things physical, just like the sky is untouched by clouds including storm clouds. Can anyone or anything hurt or affect space? You are the silent space that everything is happening in and you’re identifying with the forms and confusing as you.

Because he makes a living by pretending...most people watching this are in awe. He's defined life. But I was fortunate enough to take care of my dying mother. The love we shared in her last moments demonstrated a reality that is here on earth. We are special. Hopkins says we are not special because he lives in a world that only recognized achievers are special. To the narrator...we don't need a legendary Hollywood life to lead a life we couldn't imagine.
When I was getting ready to go to college my father said to me “why are you going? You will never amount to anything”. Then years later when I had a great career and quite accomplished he had the audacity to take credit for spurring me forward with his heartless comments. I agree with what he says. I've always felt like I've ridden life in the palm of God's hand, saved from countless dangerous, sometimes life threatening situations. wow!!! I am just fascinated by the way he perceives life in general. " Today is the tomorrow I was so worried about yesterday" Dayummm! life goes on whether you worry or not, uncertainty, it has the potential to change your present and your future will be your present one day. By not worrying about the future or not dwelling into the sadness of the past you're doing a favour to your present. Embrace the moment you're living, give your mind a break from those negative thoughts and let life take its course while you live in the moment each and everyday.

I've sat with Sir. Hopkins in Malibu at the Church on the Hill at an A.A. group. I don't drink but I get mad. Irish anger so I spoke to him about it. Sir Anthony Hopkins knows a thing or two. It’s beautiful to see Hollywood actors with their eyes open. We all need to wake up and realize there is something greater than us at work here. ❤
Correct, it’s Jesus Christ 🙏🏼

I always wondered why I had such respect and interest in Tony. As I got older I realized that souls see those similar to themselves. I am a soul that shuns ego and greed. I wish the world had more people like that.
A very sacred treasure is our Sir Anthony !
Amen Sir Anthony Hopkins! Life is a beautiful unfolding mystery!!

Sir Anthony has a lucid way of putting things.
"Hearts in Atlantis", "Meet Joe Black", those performences of his i keep in my mind and heart, inspirational personality indeed, thank you.

Never seen either only films I see Sir Tony in he plays an evil bugger; wolfman, silence of the lambs etc.
This is wonderful. He is an amazing man and so very talented. We need more humble people like him in this narcissistic culture.
Sir Anthony Hopkins was in my opinion, (and for sure much millions more) a very special Gift for our world....what ever it is, what ever it means to any single human out there in our lifetime living Planet ☘️❣️ Thank you Sir Anthony Hopkins 🌟
I adore Anthony, ever since I was 17 I love his gift to act in such an incredible way, such a beautiful soul ♥️
The greatest actor of all time. I have met him many times & I will not ruin my experience with him by reading the comments. If I learnt anything from this man it was to "trust self."
I would have said this was nonsense last year. Since then I have woken up spiritually and it really hits home hearing this come from my favourite actor 😊
What a man. A fine soul indeed.
And somehow these words made it's way to me just when I needed them. Fascinating and wondrous this life is.
"I do not need "... ( to watch) I feel....
So.... Let this wonderful soul and respect, please!!!
Thanks you so much for all your supporting may god bless you dear
I think I have been in the presence of the light you generated in the no time worlds. Anthony I know you live through the light and may we all find the journey we create.

"Everything in the world is magic, except for the magician." - Anthony Hopkins, Westworld
Everything is in your mind, don't you know? That beautiful imagination.
Quite right, everything is via the mind. How else???
Beautiful mind

You can tell through his life philosophy that he was a great student of the great Alan Watts👏🏾🙌🏾
@@Gh0stParty so you’ve “listened to all his lectures” but missed all the themes talking about how life is nothing but an illusion, a play of energy, and there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of.. always approach with a childlike sense of wonder. Which is what Anthony Hopkins is talking about. Yeah I don’t know which lectures are these you listened to and missed all these themes throughout his lectures. This whole video is full of Alan Watts philosophies for those have truly studied Alan✌🏾✌🏾

Yeah he's so wise and basically abandoned his daughter and has no relationship with her. Narcissistic, self obsessed and talking pseudo mystical bs that suits his narrative. The real problem of our civilization is that we worship dysfunctional egoistic people that want to feel special.

I think many agnostic think this way. Agnostic people tend to be fine with not knowing, but still don't doubt the idea of a greater force
It’s worth listening to David Bowie, he’s also very wise and also was an alcoholic and addict, seems when people go through hell they wise up!

(Real as in tangible, measurable & verifiable by others)
This weakness is prayed upon by all religions.
This is our duty.. to learn how to express our sovereignty. ro. i love you 🕯❤🙏
Sad hearing someone so clever so talented, living in a fairy tale dream, when the rest of world is living in a nightmare,
To easy believing in nothing, when in reality where all alive at this moment in history living in a world full of uncertainty.

I've always adored Hopkins. He's so captivating when he speaks and for those who don't know he's even composed a wonderful Waltz - And the Waltz Goes On performed by André Rieu & his Johann Strauss Orchestra

@@BaritoneUkeBeast4Life So this person who suffers pain and sadness doesn't exist? Will this non-existent pain ever end or do I have to just grin and bear my non-existent pain till the death of this non-existent body or maybe till the end of this non-existent universe or maybe for non-existent eternity?
He is a genus. Acting keeps him alive.

Love Anthony Hopkins. Special human.❤❤❤❤
Thanks you beautiful
How wise and authentic he is! So true what he says about the power of the ego; and certainty!
He makes me miss my friend Ivor Brown from Aberdare, such a sweet, gentle spoken man. That Welsh lilt.
I said “yes I did this without your support, so just think Dad what I might have accomplished if you had believed in me”.
What an awesome, discerning, critical-thinking legend, to put the enigmatic vicissitudes, trials and tribulations of life itself so eloquently. Beautiful.
His wisdom is so inspiring. He is like a western Dalai Lama. We can feel him, in us.

It's so easy and irresistible to claim that life is just an illusion when you already have everything.
He worked dam hard for it and overcame addiction!!
@@reginamay1 - That doesn't even remotely make sense if its all a dream. It's not possible to be addicted if this is a dream. It's not possible to work if nothing matters. People this dumb destroy everything they say with their words.
All he has to do to prove what he's saying is give me his money. Then I'll believe he believes it. Until then.... his words are just like a fart. Repulsive and rude in this reality. Be polite and remove yourself until you can make a sensible noise.
Bob - I agree. He's one of those arrogant types that likes to pretend he's the smarter person in the room. That's all he's good at tho.... pretending and making useless noise that makes him look dumb. You'd think of he really believed that he would spend more money helping others who have nothing.
Do any of these Hollywood perverts give half of their multiple millions to make other continents a super lush continent? All the money they've earned here, in the USA, you'd think they could end poverty here if ALL of those big mouths tried to. Nothing but arrogant air. Disgusting.
there is something deeper he's talking about here than the seeming material world dude
@Klazi - Are you certain of that? Half way thru Anthony said he wasn't. If he's not certain and just rambling.... and you people think that's genius? That's a sad show for sure.
Jesus Christ claimed to be certain ("I am the way, the truth and the life") and He rose from the dead. That matters. That makes everyone of us matter. That means this is a test and everything matters. DNA is a blueprint. It didn't just form by accident. That's genius.
Today i had this exact realization and i told myself "life is a dream". I was surprised when he mentioned the EXACT WORDS and I never heard it anywhere before I have said that. I am happy to be able to tune in this video and eager to explore more.
Buddhism is saying the same thing. The reality we perceive is an illusion.
That doesn’t mean that you jump in front of a train. Because it will be very real I assure you.
Hindus believe it too. It's called Mya. Buddha was a Hindu Prince
