This is your best episode and I'll listen to this many, many times!

Asif was a pure TV broadcast bowler. The ball travlled with ideal speed without a blurr from the release to destiny. Every frame was there to enjoy the artistry. You could draw the trajectory in your mind.
Like when afridi hits a sixer, its so quick It just happens "BANG". On the other hand when inzimam hits a six, you see every moment of that process, from the start to going down the wicket till that "delicious" golf club swing.
    Yummy

Great pod guys. Been a long term admirer of both of yours work. One thing i really like about that Asif's dismissal of Joyce is Geof Boycott's commentary on it. He really gets and appreciates what Asif was trying to do there. Keep these pods coming ❤️

Gentlemen, I have only seen/heard 3 episodes and so far this is my favorite. For me, Asif will always be one of those things you think of when you have a light buzz and you are contemplating life (the What if!).

To go full pop culture, mine is poker analogy where Mohd. Asif is Mike McD / Matt Damon from ‘Rounders’ vs Teddy KGB in their final showdown. Lulling opponent into pattern then doing the opposite. The final shot of Damon getting in a cab with a bag of cash heading to Vegas also fits!

I used to play youth club cricket at sharjah and i met asif , the pak players would interact with a bunch of youth there and i was even blessed enough to play a couple bowls by abdul razzaq. I was sucha fan boy of asif that when him and amir (who i was also a big fan of) got banned i just stopped playing cricket all together. I still believe if had they not done what they did and play 2011 wc we would've bought it home. Its a shame to say the least what we missed out on.

Brilliant Episode! Really loved it. Just some thoughts on Asif's career that it felt like that movie which has those crazy moments but the story never really gets going into something complete and it has finished while you keep searching for that closure.
Another point is that although he played only 23 tests but most of them were against major oppositions which also like included SENA tours. That also set of helped grow the legend of Asif even more.

Asif is/was the ultimate "Taira Londa". Taira Londas are ofcourse brilliant. That's why we remember them otherwise what would be the point. Their mind is always working on probing the "system" to find exploits, weaknesses, vulnerabilities. The "Taira Londa" that found the genius way to cheat in the Stats mid-term also walks into a gas station, picks-ups candy and walks out without paying for it. They steal lighters from their friends when they don't even smoke. They steal their Professors pen every single time they are in-class even when they have a bag full of pens.
You see them graduated with 3.0 GPA. You see them land a position at Oracle. You hear that they became Director of Sales in 3 years. And you don't get surprised when you hear that they got let go because they got caught stealing Cigarette from their manager when they don't even smoke. Their downfall is in-evitable, that's not what's intriguing about them. Its what they got away with during their rise that keeps them alive in our memories.

You know what, I still can’t believe we lost a gem like Asif, each time I see his bowling clip on social media I feel sad, and insta question comes to mind “ how the F*ck we lost bowler like Asif so early”
Honestly I can’t blame Asif, it’s our PCB Management failure at every level, indeed Asif was loose cannon but that’s what most of the every field geniuses are and it’s Management’s responsibility to look after them, you can’t just blame player and walk away from your key responsibilities

    How avg Paxtani brain works.
    >Let's do a show on Paxtanis achivements.
OK, what should be the selection criteria?
    >It should be against India..
    OK, and....
    >That's it... Ab aur kya chahiye?? Success for Paxtan, Paxtanis, our father of the Nation etc==doing anything against India, opposing India🤲🏼🙈. That's the whole idea of Pakistan.... Come on

Lol, 3 episode se India churan he bech rhe😹😹.
Quite understandable, you guys need villian India, or be against India(TNT, Jinnah, identity of Pak) for your nationhood n sell anything.
You need a Neeraj Chopra to sell ur Arshad Naseem(without Neeraj nobody gives a fuq where's he rn).
You need a Kohli(24/7 RR, Comparision) to sell ur Babur.
Similarly you need India, villian India to sell ur cricket or cricket related narratives😂.. but but but, WeZz bRinG eYebAlLs🤡..... b1tch any random IPL match without single Pak player, Ind-Ban(highest viewership match of 2022 WC)>>>Pak team who play in empty stadiums all around the world😢.

Matlab Ahmer Goro ko 24/7 gaali bhi de, unko morality sikhaye(being a Paxtani😭), unko wrost of wrost human btaye... Fir Greeks ke against RR bhi kre for not savin+takin in all momins(like France) 300 boat wale DunkiBaaz Paxtanis🙃
