I'm not a theologian but I can tell you Revelation is garbage. ♦According to Matthew, when Jesus returns He judges the nations and it's either enter into the Kingdom or into Hell. (Matt 25:31-41). According to Revelation judgement occurs 1,000 years later on. ♦Whoever believes in Jesus never dies (John 11:26) so a resurrection into eternal life for believers at the White Throne Judgment contradicts what Jesus taught since they never died. ♦The second coming of Jesus is unexpected but Revelation gives us plenty of detail where anyone can easily calculate that day once the 666 system is implemented. ♦ Eternal life for the righteous:: Righteous people who are alive upon Jesus' return enter eternal life in the Kingdom (Matt 25:34 & 46) but are later destroyed after 1,000 years when they are deceived by Satan when he is released at the end of the 1,000 year reign (Rev 20:9) vs. Righteous people who are raised at the White Throne Judgement and whose names are found written in the book of life are granted eternal life. Thus, we have 2 very different outcomes for righteous people. ♦ _"The nations will walk by its (the Holy City's) light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it."_ (Rev 21:24) someplace in the new heaven or earth but the nations were already destroyed after they were gathered around the camp of the saints and the beloved city and fire came down from heaven and destroyed them. (Revelation 20:7-9) ♦How does a vast innumerable crowd of people (Rev 7:14) who washed their clothes in the blood of the lamb manage to enter the Kingdom when only a few find it (Matt 7:14) according to Jesus? ♦ *Free Gift vs do the commandments* _”The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”_ (Revelation 22:17) vs _"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”_ (Revelation 22:14 KJV) ♦ *The Second Coming, who sees it* According to Revelation 1:7 _”Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen!”_ vs Revelation 20:4-5 says the only ones in the first resurrection are martyrs. Therefore, it would be impossible for “those who pierced Him” to see His return since they don’t get resurrected until after the Millennial Kingdom period. ♦ *Gathered them for battle vs neither shall they learn war anymore* _"He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, NEITHER SHALL THEY LEARN WAR ANYMORE.”_ (Isaiah 2:4) vs _”7When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison, 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth- Gog and Magog- to ASSEMBLE THEM for BATTLE. Their number is like the sand of the seashore."_ (Revelation 20:7-8) ♦ *The burning grass* 1st angel _The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and ALL GREEN GRASS WAS BURNT UP._ (Revelation 8:7) vs 5th angel _And it was commanded them that THEY SHOULD NOT HURT THE GRASS OF THE EARTH, NEITHER ANY GREEN THING, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads._ (Revelation 9:4) The author got it wrong. The grass is already burned up. ♦ *The 12 tribes of Israel* The author of Revelation gets the names of the 12 tribes of Israel wrong (Revelation 7:4-8). Dan is omitted and replaced by Manasseh. Manasseh is one of two sons (Manasseh and Ephraim) of Joseph, not the son of Israel. ♦ *Temple or no temple?* Revelation (21:22) _And I saw NO TEMPLE in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb are its temple._ This directly contradicts Ezekiel's account where in Ezekiel chs 40 - 47 great detail is given about the physical eternal temple. This temple is clearly not one that has been built before since Ezekiel describes it as having rivers flowing from it in chapter 47. The temple Ezekiel describes is the eternal temple of God set amongst man. _He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites FOREVER. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name-neither they nor their kings-by their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings at their death._ (Ezekiel 43:7)

Honestly the Seventh scroll is the scariest to me lol. Angels who sing for eternity stop during this time of apocalypse. That's like the most eery moment of silence ever
From what I learn is that great silence in Heaven is because there is no one around. That silence is because Jesus and the whole Heaven is coming to the Earth for Hi's Second Coming. You know those pictures you see on google with the scene? I think it's extremely underestimated. If the bible says that the whole Heaven will be silent and if the interpretation says that the whole angels will come on Earth then the whole sky from north to east and west to east it's gonna be lit like it would be daylight. A very bright day.
That everything in heaven would stop praising the Lord seems strange, especially when the rapture kicks everything off. The raptured church couldn't stop praising him for 5 seconds let alone half an hour for being saved from the hell breaking loose on earth. The Bible also refers to the sky as the heavens. So what would go silent in the sky? The universe has a background microwave radiation left from creation. What if that goes silent. or more specifically, all EM radiation from microwave on down? No satcom, no cellular, no radio, no TV! Just think of the massive disaster that just occurred, and now all communication goes down! Nobody can call for help! Given some of the numerology in the prophecies, this half hour blackout will be for two weeks!

The Bible states clearly that only God Himself knows when the End will happen. So idk why some Christians especially keep thinking they can predict when it will happen. Lol.
JW are specially guilty of this, they derived from a protestant group who was always making guesses about the date of Christ's return... then they changed it into not a physical return, but a "presence"... religions have generally more retcons than expected. But to be fair, many christian religions doesn't believe in dates, as a kid, I believed in a very oppressive christian religion (7th Day Adventists) and they always made it clear: not even the angels know when this is going to happen, that's why they are "always ready" (in theory).
But then (unless all jewish lineage prophets are all hoaxes) chosen men of god all claimed "they heard him talk to them" .... so .... It could be argued from the beginning not to trust any man who claimed to know something so high/mystical. Why believe him & him alone? Of course people did not understand most of the world. So it perhaps was obviously very easy to believe someone on such a strange perception. Dreams "meant" things. Even though scientifically dream DO that does not prove "prophets" or any religious chosen correct. Because if one can make error. (Like all humans can.) How can we be right or correct? The only way to prove god to me. And make me believe (not follow- just acknowledge god is real) is if god itself reveals itself to the physical tangible very real-5sensed world I live in. By the rules of the bible I would be going to hell mostly anyway unless God gives us another chance. A note about the timing of the biblical apocalypse from a Christian: Jesus explicitly said (Matt 24:36) that literally nobody but God knows when the end of the world is. So the funny thing is that anyone who *tried* to predict the Second Coming is technically a heritic, because the point is that we aren’t supposed to know, and I doubt God would relinquish that information to anyone before it had started in earnest.
LMAO I just imagine high officials of the religion like the pope and bishops or whatever their ranks are "oh... um, idk." shrugs shoulders "but god has a reason!"
Something even more funny: Because it says, "No man knows the day nor the hour." That gives us a lot of power to choose the time it'll happen. If we just convince ourselves everyday, that this is the day revelation will happen, then someone other than god knows that that day will be the start of the end. So basically, the end will happen when no one predicts that the end will happen.
We're not meant to know the times, but we're ordered to be vigilant of the events so when the times come we will be preppared. Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. And if you take into account the Catholic prophecies of the end of the Church... it's even clearer what times we're living in.
As a Christian this is probably the hardest book to comprehend as I haven’t heard any pastor explain the book in this great of detail. I just read revelation and I don’t even remember where the tribulation takes place in all of this. I’m assuming it happens before all the disasters on earth
Explaining this book requires very deep understanding of end time texts and profound spiritual revelation. The tribulation period (in my understanding) begins at chapter 4 when John is taken to heaven. That's why all these disasters are happening on earth
The book of Revelation is not hard to understand if you understand that it's not about the end of the world but the end of the old covenant. All the events in it have already taken place, they are not things we are awaiting to happen. Hence why in the very first verse Jesus said these things will shortly take place, meaning in the first century.
@@wurtzgood Its symbolic apocalyptic language. Checkout the first 9 verses in Revelation 1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants--things which must shortly take place. Christ is giving His servants a revelation of things which must shortly come to pass. How is 2000 plus years later shortly come to pass? It's not. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. In verse 3 we have another time statement that the time for these events were near for them. How is 2000 plus years later near? It's not. The verse also says blessed are they who read the words of the prophecy and keep the things that are in it. How did it bless those to whom it was written to in the first century if it had absolutely nothing to do with them? 4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, Revelation was written to the 7 churches in Asia. How was it applicable to the 7 churches in Asia that no longer exist if it had nothing to do with them? 7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. How are they who pierced Him supposed to see Him if they died over 2000 years ago? Now if Christ came in the 1st century then they could have seen Him. 9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Ironic that John tells them He was their brother and companion in the tribulation. Meaning it was presently occurring, not some event 2000 plus years later.
@@wurtzgood Historical, eyewitness testimony about Jesus's second coming that happened in the first century. Jesus’ Second Coming was NOT a global event, but rather a REGIONAL event specifically located in Jerusalem for “that generation” to eye witness just like Jesus promised in Matthew 24:34. 1. Pseudo-Hegesippus (ch. 44): “A certain figure appeared of tremendous size, which many saw, just as the books of the Jews have disclosed, and before the setting of the sun there were suddenly seen in the clouds, chariots and armed battle arrays, by which the cities of all Judea and its territories were invaded.” 2. Eusebius (Book 3, ch. 8, Sec. 1-6): “A demonic phantom appeared of incredible size, and what will be related would have seemed a fairy-tale had it not been told by those who saw it, and been attended by suffering worthy of the portent. For before sunset there appeared in the air over the whole country chariots and armed troops coursing through the clouds and surrounding the cities.” 3. Tacitus (Book 5.13): “There had been hosts joining the battle in the skies, fiery gleams of arms…the temple illuminated by a sudden radiance from the clouds.” 4. Jossipon (ch. 87): “Now it happened after this that there was seen over the Holy of Holies from above for the entire night the outline of a man’s face, the like of whose beauty had never been seen in all the land, and his appearance was very awesome. Moreover, in those days were seen chariots of Fire and horsemen, a great force flying across the sky near to the ground coming against Jerusalem and all the land of Judah, all of them horses of fire and riders of fire.” 5. “A specrtal figure surrounded by seven golden lamp stands with a sword in his mouth” Honestly I find these descriptions horrifying. They’re delirious, like if someone tried to describe something outside of their understanding. We as humans, have an instinct to discover and understand, and honestly the idea of something so mighty and otherworldly that you can’t understand it neither describe it, scares the shit out of me. If angels exist surely they’re not a guy with a sword in his mouth, who knows what John saw there, what sort of lovecraftian monstrosity appeared in front of him, what crazy thing he witnessed. It makes you feel small, vulnerable and insignificant. Maybe that thing was an angel, and there was no danger, but what if that thing wanted to kill you? Or maybe the descriptions sound so crazy because the people who see angels end up losing their sanity, and start rambling crazy nonsense when they try to describe them because their brain has been fried by whatever they saw, a trauma so big that they’re completely nuts. This shit is nightmare fuel to me.
The point of lovecraftian horror is precisely this, it's a perversion of the fundamental understanding of the Ontology of the divine authority behind the Universe itself. Wherein said authority doesn't care about you/is outright malicious. There's also the consideration of the fear of the unknown, but that's another layer.
Sometimes humans describe things that are simply more advanced technology...not saying this is the case, but when you read the Hindu Vedas you see that alot...basically people who don't understand technology and when they describe it using objects and creatures only they understand with their limited worldview, they come across as monstrous and wonderous when they could have been spaceships or flying planes, astronauts, ect....

I like how you interpreted the visions, but I have some more to add. Like you said, these visions are extremely symbolic. From my perspective, “John” is merely describing what he sees, not what he understands. For example, if you brought someone from 100 BC to today, they would have absolutely no idea what is going on. John sees things in the future that he cannot comprehend, so he uses his knowledge to explain it.

It is dangerous to take counsel from one who doesn’t know God….. all who watch this video need to understand you are being “taught “ the things of God by a person who doesn’t even believe…. may God have mercy on all of us, and may he bring us to the knowledge which leads to salvation, which was revealed to his Apostles and the church fathers…. Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. ☦️ Through the intercessions of your Holy Mother, The Theotokos, and your Blessed Saints, have mercy on us and save us. Amen. ☦️
With my understanding I believe that all of the characters such as the beasts and multi-eyed creatures is a translation to what John is seeing. Think about in this: If you were born and raised in ancient Rome and given a vision of the world today, would you easily describe it and interpret everything? Such as airplanes or skyscrapers, it would be a confusing tale to tell or write about. So with that in mind we can't take the book of Revelations very literal because it was written by a simple man with a simple mind trying to describe something so complex that the human mind can't comprehend it
his description about grasshopper with metal armour sounds a lot like he saw small swarm drones and tried his best to describe it with his 1st century knowledge...
Or playing chinese whispers for a few hundret years and after that interpreting and translating it (maybe badly or even wrong) and writing that interpretation down (repeating that over the course of a thousand years) isnt the best way of getting a story that is even close to what it probably originally was. Just saying.
John's vision starts with the people on earth hiding in the mountains and in caves, literally begging to be crushed by the rocks so they won't live to face God's wrath. So.... yeah, that's dark.
I think the problem is we take things too literally. "Eyes all over" doesnt necessarily mean actual biological eyes all around their body. It could also mean omnipresent.
100% I always thought “walking on water” meant treading the unconscious mind. They spoke in an entirely different language back then. + the Bible has been altered & rewritten a couple hundred times since then.
this guy just doing mockery he doesn t take the book seriously only the saints can interprete it and not fully of course we can try to make our own conclusions we get something right i m an orthodox and i heard from an orthodox priest who talks about this stuff claiming that the 10 horns are the 10 bankers and i think he is righth
Idk sometimes you have to think that he can make anything. Just like how complex life is on this earth imagine how complex it is in heaven. Sometimes I think of spiders just having all those eyes and the tiny flies. It might just be possible.
@@VSCNDED I get what you mean, and with many religions everyone tends to take it quite literally, but I find Christianity’s to be quite chill than other religions taking stuff seriously. About the Bible being rewritten, I concur as today you see it all the time, but a while back they uncovered the Dead Sea Scrolls, which we can use today to check the true reliability of the Bible, and compare it to more older versions. This stuff gets really like in depth and I don’t study the Bible much so I’m not the one to talk to about this lol, very interesting to talk about though since there’s a lot of possibilities when religions are like 2,000 to 3,000 years old.

♦ Eternal life for the righteous::
Righteous people who are alive upon Jesus' return enter eternal life in the Kingdom (Matt 25:34 & 46) but are later destroyed after 1,000 years when they are deceived by Satan when he is released at the end of the 1,000 year reign (Rev 20:9)
vs.
(Revelation 20:7-9)
♦How does a vast innumerable crowd of people (Rev 7:14) who washed their clothes in the blood of the lamb manage to enter the Kingdom when only a few find it (Matt 7:14) according to Jesus?
♦ *Free Gift vs do the commandments*
_”The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”_ (Revelation 22:17)
vs
_"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”_ (Revelation 22:14 KJV)
♦ *The Second Coming, who sees it*
According to Revelation 1:7
_”Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen!”_
vs
Revelation 20:4-5 says the only ones in the first resurrection are martyrs.
Therefore, it would be impossible for “those who pierced Him” to see His return since they don’t get resurrected until after the Millennial Kingdom period.
♦ *Gathered them for battle vs neither shall they learn war anymore*
_"He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, NEITHER SHALL THEY LEARN WAR ANYMORE.”_ (Isaiah 2:4)
vs
_”7When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison, 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth- Gog and Magog- to ASSEMBLE THEM for BATTLE. Their number is like the sand of the seashore."_ (Revelation 20:7-8)
♦ *The burning grass*
1st angel
_The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and ALL GREEN GRASS WAS BURNT UP._ (Revelation 8:7)
vs
5th angel
_And it was commanded them that THEY SHOULD NOT HURT THE GRASS OF THE EARTH, NEITHER ANY GREEN THING, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads._ (Revelation 9:4)
The author got it wrong. The grass is already burned up.
♦ *The 12 tribes of Israel*
The author of Revelation gets the names of the 12 tribes of Israel wrong (Revelation 7:4-8). Dan is omitted and replaced by Manasseh. Manasseh is one of two sons (Manasseh and Ephraim) of Joseph, not the son of Israel.
♦ *Temple or no temple?*
Revelation (21:22)
_And I saw NO TEMPLE in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb are its temple._
This directly contradicts Ezekiel's account where in Ezekiel chs 40 - 47 great detail is given about the physical eternal temple.
The fact that John refers to the things around the throne as "living creatures" implies that he literly recognizes basically NOTHING about them other than that they are alive.
Yeah, we too arent we?
@@jonathanhauhnar8434 I know that lol. Just from his POV.

@@corgigod5482 right exactly, which is pretty fucking terrifying lol. That would definitely freak me out if I was already in heaven
+

A note about the timing of the biblical apocalypse from a Christian:
Jesus explicitly said (Matt 24:36) that literally nobody but God knows when the end of the world is.
Something even more funny:
Because it says, "No man knows the day nor the hour." That gives us a lot of power to choose the time it'll happen.
If we just convince ourselves everyday, that this is the day revelation will happen, then someone other than god knows that that day will be the start of the end.
So basically, the end will happen when no one predicts that the end will happen.
But what about the end time predictions? I agree with you but is predicting but not being certain still make you a heretic?
We're not meant to know the times, but we're ordered to be vigilant of the events so when the times come we will be preppared.
Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. And if you take into account the Catholic prophecies of the end of the Church... it's even clearer what times we're living in.

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants--things which must shortly take place.
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
Revelation was written to the 7 churches in Asia.
44): “A certain figure appeared of tremendous size, which many saw, just as the books of the Jews have disclosed, and before the setting of the sun there were suddenly seen in the clouds, chariots and armed battle arrays, by which the cities of all Judea and its territories were invaded.”
2. Eusebius (Book 3, ch. 8, Sec. 1-6): “A demonic phantom appeared of incredible size, and what will be related would have seemed a fairy-tale had it not been told by those who saw it, and been attended by suffering worthy of the portent. For before sunset there appeared in the air over the whole country chariots and armed troops coursing through the clouds and surrounding the cities.”
3. Tacitus (Book 5.13): “There had been hosts joining the battle in the skies, fiery gleams of arms…the temple illuminated by a sudden radiance from the clouds.”
4. Jossipon (ch. 87): “Now it happened after this that there was seen over the Holy of Holies from above for the entire night the outline of a man’s face, the like of whose beauty had never been seen in all the land, and his appearance was very awesome. Moreover, in those days were seen chariots of Fire and horsemen, a great force flying across the sky near to the ground coming against Jerusalem and all the land of Judah, all of them horses of fire and riders of fire.”
5. Josephus (Book 6, ch. 5, Sec. 2-3): “…chariots and troops of soldiers in their armory were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding cities.”
Here are the actual book titles:
1. (Latin) Pseudo-Hegesippus
2. “Ecclesiastical History” by Eusebius
3. “The Histories” by Gaius Tacitus
4. “Burning the Temple” by Sepher Jossipon
5. “War of the Jews” by Joseph

This was actually going to happen to everyone on earth, but Yeshua aka Jesus Christ of Nazareth told God to forgive us, because we don’t know what we’re doing. He took the pain of sin for us and asked God to give us another chance.
That chance is believing that he is Lord and the king of all kings that died for our sins. False prophets that twist God’s word make Christianity “unpleasant” and threatening to some people, but if you ignore them and just have faith in God, I promise you it’s so worth it. Human beings do it for fallen soldiers. So why wouldn't God do it for the unrepentant sinners who have denied salvation till the very end.
After all, you may as well be dead when you reject God because to reject him is to reject life itself, that includes the very spirit that is responsible for our existance. Those sinners will get their wish because the lake of fire exists for this one purpose.

“A specrtal figure surrounded by seven golden lamp stands with a sword in his mouth”
Honestly I find these descriptions horrifying.

From my perspective, “John” is merely describing what he sees, not what he understands. For example, if you brought someone from 100 BC to today, they would have absolutely no idea what is going on. John sees things in the future that he cannot comprehend, so he uses his knowledge to explain it.

how are you now, sister?
that is the first book of bible i've read in full and until now i'm still traumatised.
So with that in mind we can't take the book of Revelations very literal because it was written by a simple man with a simple mind trying to describe something so complex that the human mind can't comprehend it
This is actually a very thoughtful point. Just because religious texts were written by people doesn't mean that they are useless.
his description about grasshopper with metal armour sounds a lot like he saw small swarm drones and tried his best to describe it with his 1st century knowledge...
Or playing chinese whispers for a few hundret years and after that interpreting and translating it (maybe badly or even wrong) and writing that interpretation down (repeating that over the course of a thousand years) isnt the best way of getting a story that is even close to what it probably originally was. How to survive the apocalypse: Don't worry, you won't be able to die...
although you would wish to.
John's vision starts with the people on earth hiding in the mountains and in caves, literally begging to be crushed by the rocks so they won't live to face God's wrath. So.... yeah, that's dark.

@@cowboyfett3810 there are some "camera perspective" revelation movies out there. They're not horror movie per-Se but some of them are worth a watch
