I like how you're trying to do everything properly however you should talk with you're local DOT. Because I believe on a machine that weighs over 10,000 lb you have to have 4 individual points of contact on the machine and within a fifth contact over the bucket of the machine.
Plus you should have got the ratchet binders. Much easier to use and safer.
So you would need five ratchet binders and multiple chains ⛓️ however if you set the chains up properly and they are long enough you can get away with using 3 separate chains with five binders.
If machine is under ten thousand pounds there's other rules for that. Much less restrictions on securing equipment.
    Good luck!

We also have a T66! Make sure you check the coolant level. Bobcat has a recall on the T66 and they loose coolant randomly. Also, for the lever binder I would highly recommend a Mytee Combination Winch Bar. We use it and it's super easy (better than pipe). Hey brad one tip that I have when running the machine is to do compound moves (arm up and dump at the same time) productivity goes up. If that machine have eco turn it off and Throttle-up like up up you can set a auto Idle so it will go down to idle after not working for 20 seconds. Don't run it too hard it is not that big of a machine I run a t870. Have fun be safe.

Homeboy is partially right about ethanol additives. Ethanol strips the lubrication properties in diesel fuel. But the bigger issue it’s ability to absorb water. Water is the High pressure fuel systems enemy. If you’re running anything ethanol through a diesel, you’re running water through your HP side of your fuel system. Also, I agree with and highly recommend Schaeffer’s, for additives, and engine oil. I run their engine oil in all my vehicles. And anyone else’s I can convince to purchase it. Breaks the bank, but I’ve torn apart engines various oil vs Schaeffer trucks. Night and day difference.

Way to go, Brad! i don't know why the title says "Bad Idea"... I think it looked like you were doing great! I just finished watching Andrew's video moving the animals to the new property. That was so funny how dramatic Ralph was. I think you and your family will enjoy having the animals out there. I have a feeling you'll be getting a critter or two for yourself. A while back Andrew asked his viewers what kind of animals to get that would be good around children... I have all kinds of suggestions, hint, hint!
I hope you and your family had a lovely Easter. I wasn't able to make it to our family dinner tonight that my folks were hosting. I had two falls on Saturday and got a bit beat up so I was not up for it. Hopefully I'm healed up in a couple weeks because I've booked a flight to Vancouver Island to go and visit my brother and sister-in-law (and one of two nieces). They've built a new home out there which is waterfront. I think they've been in it for about 4 years now. It's my 'happy place' because the views are spectacular and it's so lovely to open the bedroom window and fall asleep to the sound of the waves.
Sorry, I didn't meant to babble on and on AGAIN in this comment. I feel like I'm writing a friend a short letter whenever I comment on your videos!
It was great to see Nate in this video. I think we caught a glimpse of Max too. Maybe this Bobcat will be helpful to them as they start their new farming business?! Any word on whether they're interested in their own channel? I mentioned it in a comment on one of Andrew's videos and got a heart, so I am taking that to mean he agrees with me, haha!
Take care - I hope you and your lovely wife and family are well. I truly do wish you and yours the very best and lots of blessings.
    Heather🇨🇦
PS-If you or Colin Doyal read this, please know that I'd love nothing more than to be able to contribute to this fundraiser but I'm just not able to at present. My disability income was significantly reduced recently and things are really hard right now. It simply doesn't pay well to be disabled! I'm currently looking for ways to help cut my costs so I feel like as much as I want to help a fellow disabled person, I am not able to at the moment.
Colin, if you see this, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. While I will not pretend to understand your specific struggles, I can empathize and appreciate how tough it can be. I am a Canadian, but would like to sincerely thank you for your service and your family for their sacrifices while you were deployed, etc. It takes a special kind of person to do what you were doing and while I'm not an American, I do appreciate your country and am glad to be a neighbour. I wish you the very best and hope that this renovation happens for you sooner than later. Heather🇨🇦

Before you buy a bunch of attachments, talk to flair. Maybe you can buy ones he doesn't unless you will be ising it all the time. You can probably borrow his forks and bush wacker when you need them unless you're gonna use forks all the time. Then you should just get your own. Maybe get things he doesn't have, like a Jack Hammer, concrete pump or mixer, backhoe, trencher, compactor attachments if he doesn't. It might be something you would use a lot with building. Or if your son is going to do the whole farming thing, you can get one of those hay bailer, tiller orpost hole digger attachments. They also have plows and snowblowers for you long driveways and pathways to your sons house.

If anyone gives you flak on the name, your guy might have mentioned it, but it’s considered a CTL or compact track loader. I believe the tire models are where it’s a skid steer. That being said we would basically all know them as a skid steer so don’t worry about what you call it everyone will know

Are bobcats, just called bobcat, or skid steers?

    • @brandonm6052
      @brandonm6052 Год назад +1

@@BradtheBuilder it's like saying Kleenex or Velcro. Bobcat is so synonymous with "skid steers" that many will say go grab the bobcat no matter the brand. Andrew is an example of this as he commonly calls everything a "Mule" when in fact that is only Kawasaki's utility side x side. The machines with tires are skid steers and then like I said a tracked version you will hear called CTL's by industry guys. In essence you bought a bobcat CTL and Andrew bought a Kubota CTL. I'd venture to say if you had both on your site you'd end of hearing go grab the bobcat or kubota to distinguish or if just one was around you'd hear someone say grab the skid steer even though neither have tires to skid as they...steer.
