Actor Napoleon was born in 1963 in Trichy. His real name is Kumaresan Daraswamy. There are 6 children in his family. He was born as the 5th son. Studied at St. Joseph's College, Trichy. Later, at the age of 27, he got interested in acting after watching the film Udayam. In 1991, Bharathiraja introduced him in the new film 'Nellu Pudu Nathu'. At a young age, he played the villain in a few films including Chinnathai, followed by Aathiya Napoleon in his first film, Audarivar Ketap.
His performance as a cruel villain in the film Ejaman with Rajinikanth won many praises. Napoleon, who used to play the role of a villain, made his debut as a hero in the 1994 film Sivalaperi Pandi. After that, he played the hero in many films including Ettupatti Rasa, East and West, Kalakalpu, Vitoda Mappillai. After that, Napoleon acted in more than 100 films.
In 1993, Jayasudha was married in the presence of director and actor Bharathiraja under the leadership of the late former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Artist M. Karunanidhi. Both of them are from Trichy. There is a difference of 9 years between the two in terms of age. While Jayasuda was studying in college, the marriage was arranged by her family.
