I own GrII and x100v, thinking of Q2... I watched all your videos and I truly appreciate the simplicity and ‘to the point’ approach. You go beyond specs and focus on usability, which is what meters at the end... you have a new subscriber, keep it up!
Hello from a wet and windy Wales. I enjoyed your video very much and I think it gives a good overview of the GR III. I have had this camera for around a year and I share your enthusiasm for the excellent image quality and the low profile design.
Pretty much every GRiii owner I know is a street photographer and shoots in black and white, so it was refreshing to watch your video. I've been considering this since the GRii but I'm a Fuji guy now and I keep jumping between this and the X100V... and I guess by the time I'll make up my mind the next camera will be out, lol 😂
I still have my GR Digital from 2005 - the pictures I took with it still look good for Instagram etc. As I’ve got older I became tired of lugging my heavy Canon DSLR, so I’ve just got my GRiii. Such a great camera!
I get what you mean about work cameras vs fun cameras. The Fuji x100f and the Nikon F3 are my fun cameras, but when it comes time to replace my Fuji, I'll definitely be checking out whatever GR camera is out! Outstanding review 👍
I shared similar sentiments with load out size, it always felt like too much. Ive had mine since june of last year and the impact it had to my personal photos has been so surprising. It goes with me everywhere. Its images are quality and can really kock you off your feet. I will recommend this camera to anyone, not just photo enthusiasts. I got my buddy to pick up a GR II earlier this year when he was looking for a good point and shoot. I love my III but I've considered picking uo the II as well just for the onboard flash. These cameras are a blast to experiment with cant sing enough praise for them. Thanks for video homie, great work!
Really liked your review of the Ricoh 111, it seems just the camera I’m looking for, something small and pocketable, but still with some quality to its images. And I like the idea that it isn’t a camera that would annoy or upset people. Cool, thks.
Great video/review! This camera wasn't even on my horizon... but it is now. Perfect use of back ground music too by the way - too many youtubers have obnoxious loud "music" over their talking.
I have an old ricoh gx 200 ( paired with gr from that years - only with zoom lens ) Latest ver of GR III in your review have the same Menu system as my Caplio - and my Caplio is from 2008 ( still working ;) ) Menu is absolutelly fantastic at this cameras. I use my GX 200 extensivelly through more than 5 years - it was my only camera to go street . I shooted with it gorgeous photos - which win contests in several occasions. - I have no tried GR III yet, but I know the image qaulity with superb lens, and superb big apsc sensor , must be trully fntastic
Agree. Great first video and review! Ages ago I bought (and still have) the GR Digital II and GR Digital III. Was perfect for travel street photography. I keep watching these review getting me closer to picking up the latest.
Great video! I've owned the GR3 for six months or so now and I love it. I have a Fuji X100S and a Leica X1 and these were my work horse cameras for day to day shooting, but the GR3 ticks all the boxes and more, so much so my other cameras barely get a look in. IMO Ricoh have got everything spot on with this camera, I can't fault it at all, so much so I've got the GR3x on order to compliment the lineup.
I feel the same way about not wanting to use my "professional" cameras (although the Ricoh GR III does have professional image quality) for certain things, like when you're just out and about or with family or whatever. It's just so easy to take the Ricoh with you wherever you go. Love this camera. Great first video and subscribed 👍
New subscriber here. Thank God I stumbled upon your channel. Awesome shots and can’t wait for more content. I ordered the GRIII for mainly street photography and family shots. This is a camera that makes you want to get out and shoot and shoot. 😂 A snap focus mode tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Great first video! I’m considering this for everyday family (with 6+ years kids), would you recommend it for that purpose? I keep hearing about auto focus issue, so curious. I looked at a bunch of mirrorless cameras (a6400, Fuji XS10 (& others), canon m50) but at the end pocketablity + APSC lens excite me over my iPhone 12pro
To combat the battery issue this has a feature where you can charge it on the USB-C plug on the side so you can top it off when traveling either in the car or with a battery bank. Anyone who has used a GoPro knows what I mean.
Great video man! Well done, seriously! Only bit of constructive criticism, the music got a little loud at the end, and your super soft spoken, so it became a bit much. But other than that it was dope! I hope you do a tour of your kit!
Are you using the Positive Film option at all? And if so, do you mind sharing your settings? I'm also curious if you're shooting RAW and processing in camera or later in Lightroom, or if most of these are JPEG SOOC. Great first video; keep it up!
I am shooting exclusively in RAW but I do use presets from Samuel L Streetlife when I want to replicate the positive film look. Most of these are edited with my own presets which are a little more saturated than the positive film options.
Your video was interesting. I have been considering purchasing this camera for some time because I wanted something bigger than my cell phones but smaller than my Nikon Z50 or D7100. But due to hearing many complaints on the GRiii sucking in dust and dirt particles through the lens and ending up making the sensor dirty I have decided not to purchase one. It's unfortunate that Ricoh hasn't corrected this issue. Again a nice video. Best of luck in your photography journey! Duane
Luis Chavez I subscribed! I’m in the process of putting together a full on review. Glad I clicked on yours. No one should ever discriminate against low views or subs. Really great stuff hope you do more. 🤙
@@luischavezphoto I had the original X100 for 8 years and gave it to my ex. Now I'm torn between the X100f/v and GR III. I like the size of GR III but I'm afraid that 28mm on the GR is a bit too wide. I also prefer the design of GR III. When I walked around with x100 on my neck, many people approached and asked me "how much is this Leica", which is extremely annoying lol.
@@mintran The 28mm does definitely take some time to get use to but once you do, its a great focal length! I had the X100F and i still regret getting rid of it! I am trying to eventually save up for a Leica Q2 but the GR III is a great walk around camera.
Hi Luis. I saw your video and I like it. Can you please compare some smartphone camera etc. iPhone or Samsung S series with your Ricoh ? Just to people see how much is compact camera superior over smartphone camera (day, night...) Bye.
Hi! Some i edited with the positive film preset pack from Sam L. Streetlife but most are edited with my custom presets when I want more punchy colors. Thanks for watching!
Great review! We love it :)
Thank you so much! I watch this channel all the time.
PLAT UNDERGROUND i have seen your video. It’s a shame on Ricoh.
at the end of the video I was shocked that this is your first upload!
I like the calm video style.
Thank you so much!
Great production value too! Subbed.

Great review on the GR III, after hearing so many good things about the GR line for street shooting I ordered one. Keep up the good work!
It’s a great camera! Thanks for watching.
Finally, a useful but short and sweet video. Well done
great job for your first video - I can't wait for my GR3 to come in the post!
Thank you so much for watching!
For your first video you did a fantastic job! Terrific review.
The GR iii is on my wishlist. I look forward to your next video.
Best of luck.
Thanks so much!

@@luischavezphoto thanks a lot for the reply! Keep up the good work.

Awesome vid. Considering purchasing this sometime soon. Like you I have my top tier gear - this gem takes good punches like a champ. Thanks!
You made a wonderful video presentation :)
I love the GRIII, only issue I have is I keep accidentally knocking the EV Wheel, I'd love it if it could be locked, great video, thanks
There are plenty of reviews on the camera, I am here for the sample photos. Great photos btw.
Thank you so much! I wanted to make sure to include as many photos as possible.

Yeah please do and also let us know, if you are shooting raw oder jpg. I love your color settings. The images have a analog look.
Super job well done
Ricoj GR iii vs Sony ZV-1? Mostly for taking photos
Ricoh GRiii for sure!
Great video!!
Amazing sample images, thank you! I am selling my EOS R and downgrading to to the GRIII for the size.
I had the EOS R for about 6 months but that camera was just not for me. Thanks for watching!

Everything is gangsta untill dust go inside your GR
I’ve thankfully never had that issue since owning it. If used it for 9 months in coats, pants pockets, and bags but never had any dust. 😊
What about the AF in low light situation?
It’s not amazing but it gets the job done!

Wow!!!
Just to give hope to those not wanting to spend over $900, I just bought a Ricoh GR III (great condition) off eBay for less than $600.
That’s a great price! Thanks for sharing. ✌🏽
The stealth bomber!
Maybe 900 usd are not a lot in Usa.
In italy is half a pay (month) or an average worker, and full pay of a new one.....
It’s definitely a lot of money don’t get me wrong but it’s reasonably priced for what features are packed in to it. Thanks for watching! 😊
You would or would not be comfortable taking it to a wedding?
Thanks for jacking up the prices on ebay.
