I've been looking for building ideas I could make in my server but it's the usual farm and houses, I really appreciate this list, it's not the usual videos you get when scrolling around yt. I had a really hard time looking for other unique ideas rather than the typical underground water bases, mountain bases, medieval themed designs. I was desperate to find other ideas and suggestions since I can't seem to rack my brain up for an idea myself. This helped a ton! I'm sure I won't be in a dilemma of building the exact same structure over and over in various servers anytime soon.

I always like building little castles as outposts for exploration - a few central places where you can store all the items you find while venturing out into the world. You can always make a few roundtrips to get them all to your main base and you don't have to throw away as much!

@@supdawg_27 It has about everything. You can also get inspiration from non-minecraft stuff, aka you can look towards real life things and houses to replicate in your minecraft builds

I have fallen into a rut of making massive cave bases with heavy fantasy/nature themes that take me like 60+ hours and I really needed something that wasn't that because it's getting exhausting! Having a compilation was really nice, the slightly underground but not options were awesome, I'd never seen them googling around.

I like the ones built into the earth way more. It feels like you have more control over the world ig, the Cliffside house and the one with farms all around divoted into earth especially

The bridge house, great idea. I have a large lake and a bridge that long looks a bit odd, so I will take your idea and make bridge shops. (I think I saw something like that in the movie "parfume")

A Subnautica sci Fi style water base is a great design as well, if you like the Sci Fi industrial feel and wish to live under the sea.

Another idea is building your house next to an abandoned nether portal with a mix of crimson and oak or spruce wood and grass as netherack

I actually really like the open glass-rooved hole in the ground design, because I like being able to see everything at once since I can sort of lose object permanence with my ADHD forgetting stuff all over the place, plus having a really intricate staircase or multi-level design is a pain in the neck when I have to go up and down and up and down the ladder to get my leads or seeds or torches etc.
Building challenge: Make a house (mostly) out of dirt and make it look as good as possible. It must have a green top.
I have actually always wanted to make a nice looking dirt house!!

My recent starter house is made of the stone blocks from a ruined portal and is next to a hill that is half destroyed and I’ve put dirt all over it so the house is camouflaged into the terrain and you don’t know it’s a house until you see the 2-3 stone blocks that aren’t covered up
I would make alot of these in one world and just hangout with friends lol. I realize it's like real life.

Lovely ideas, and I enjoyed the video. Here's a question, for anyone really, do you have any "disguising your AFK-spot" ideas? I mean a tiny box in the sky is not a good one....
I don’t currently but that is a cool idea that I’ll have to remember for the future :)
@@ItsMarloe That's fine. I'm not sure, but I think AFK-spots can also be a distance from the automatic farm (like a squid farm) and not just in the sky.
I came into this video concerned that it would start with some 10 year old kid screaming "THESE ARE FIFTY EPIC HOUSE IDEAS blah blah" but the calmness that was shown in the first few seconds was refreshing.
