My son was born two days ago. I can't wait to teach him these.
you already wasted his two days. now hurry up already.
McFlubberpants Train his reflexes early, your son will be the best mma fighter ever.
McFlubberpants Congrats and im not trying to tell you how to raise him, but you should teach him how to properly fight early on
Jago Nexus I agree. I started Karate at six and that helped me a lot in elementary school.
Your son is nearly a week only now, has he mastered the techniques yet?
I like how you take a scientific approach to fighting and training, good stuff here dude
John Doe I agree 😂
FighttipX - Putting the science back in fighting :D
John Doe same man
John Doe fighting is actually very scientific
Ironvale They should teach it when you're doing Science in school lol.
thank you for the shoutout and the amazing work brother
Hello
Don't mention it -- keep up the good work, sir!
@@fighttips Dana White should give you a contract!

What I've learnt over the years is that it's not "versus", it's "and". Using elastic recoil for speed and bone stacking plus muscle tightening and correct posture for muscular/structural support has significantly increased the power of my hits. I wish i had learnt that when I was competing. ;/ Great breakdown, as always, Shane!
I'm glad you watch MindSmash's videos as I enjoy his videos very much.
MrKinggodzilla really like the way he explains things
Fernando Gonzalez Valle i really like his voice too but it annoys some people 😂😂
Redtan Sonyeondan dont really know why 😂
Fernando Gonzalez Valle Yeah me neither 😂😂😂
😂*
Bone stacking is a term I never heard before, and didn't realize it was involved in boxing mechanics. I know it as "body connection" from my long time karate instructor. We practiced so much on that piercing punch that drills into the target, being concerned with placement and penetrating into the target with the body driving through on impact by being as solid/unmovable as possible so that all the force goes into the other guy.
Anyway, I never use gloves (gonna start getting used to it), so that satisfying pop or pound that boxers have on a bag was something I could never get quite right. But now I see it's the same effect, just smaller and denser.
Really like your channel. It's full of stuff for me to learn and practice. Thanks a lot for doing what you do.
Karate is a joke.
Why does my dad keep hitting my mom? She's not wearing a mouthpiece
Your dad is just old school, kids nowadays don't remember bare knuckle no mouthpiece fighting. A shame really.
Sepulchure Valen wow thanks
F
Because she keeps bone stacking
Shane these are the kind of vids I like to see. Techniques that have not been covered by y'all before.
I'm not a fighter but absolutely LOVE your channel because there's so much science behind fighting that just fascinates me
Great to hear, Nash! Everyone must be a fighter in some aspect of life :) Thank you for the support.
I've always had a bit of problem regarding the alignment of Jabs and Crosses. Now, your explaination of bone stacking shows me exactly what I've been doing wrong all along.
Good Shit as always Shane.
Love your Channel.
Yeah Shane, you've helped me so much over the years. Keep grinding bro

RL II What the...Go to sleep
Good shit. This is one of the things I've tried to explain to beginners about technique and how to properly strike with speed and power. Some get it naturally and others take a while to develop
From Melbourne Australia, thanks again for another great video. You do so much for all of us
Paralysis over analysis, I like that. Great video man
Keep it up sir....u r doing great for all the fighters in the world LOVE FROM INDIA
I agree with everything you said EXCEPT the last part. If we're in a fight the last thing we want to do is lose our head and just start swinging. Obviously we're not going to be analyzing every strike with the same precision that we do with sparring, but we need to practice the technique enough that when that adrenaline dump hits and your mind goes blank (at least like mine does in a fight), the punches thrown are still technically sound. In my first amateur win (1-2 lol rip), i don't remember throwing the beautiful 1-1-6-3-to clinched knee combination that i threw. My coaches and training partners trained me so that I instinctively threw with the perfect form. Had i thrown the trail uppercut in a looping fashion, the opponent would have simply countered my 6 with a 2 of his own and stopped the real killer (the knee to the body).
You see the integration of these systems in TCMA. Elasticity moves you into a penetrating shot with full sketeto-muscular alignment. Its one reason people should integrate forms work into their training regimen; without the physical reaction of striking the bag, you can take a strike to the laboratory and really calibrate those alignments. Then you can take the re-calibrated strikes to the bag to test your work. Good stuff as always sir, keep up the great work.
Good stuff shane this is the importance of punching with the end of your reach
It's nice to see structure getting some love
Great video Shane! And I'm glad you said what you said about watching the fight on mute to block out the commentators and ignoring the comments and opinions of others and just watching the fight for what it is! I told several people something very similar after the Conor and Mayweather fight! So many people by default, just believe whatever the media or commentators say. If it's said that the fight was unfair, they believe it...if they say it was a setup they believe it...if they say the other guy should've won, they believe it...you made valid points in here. Good work!
Man do this mechanic videos often, they are very helpful
Years ago an 80-year-old boxing coach taught me to slightly lift my shoulder as it comes forward then quickly drop it in a snapping motion. You can see boxers popping their shoulders when they shadow box. Specifically Ali and Leonard.
Really nice breakdown, lots of little things that make a big difference! I like the mention of the lats, one of the best ways to connect your hip to your punch.
Shane could you give me some tips on how to wear ur opponent out while standing please.. ive got a kickboxing match with a higher skilled boxer than me i think my only chance is to get him tired he has better cardio than me so i just need a few ways to get him tired early... also great vid mate keep it up
LocoLewis I'm replying just to get him to see this
Aleksije Vujovic me too 😂
LocoLewis sub me
LocoLewis keep a constant pace and keep them moving
LocoLewis Bodyshots man, also if leg kicks are allowed use them. They destroy not only your opponents footwork but also power.
Great breakdown. The end is the best. "Just throw them hands sometimes"
This video is fantastic! I'm trying to make a punch and roundhouse kick animation, and I've managed to get a HUGE amount of notes for making them.
This is awesome I tried these before and I felt the difference. Keep up the good work Shane! 💪
I've been watching your videos for at least 2 years now and I think this has been the most useful video so far 👊
Thanks for the breakdown with the punches
HOW TO THROW PUNCHES AND KICKS WITH ELASTIC RECOIL VIDEO PLEASSSEEE!!!! That's a very good video
Good stuff.. a little more bend in the elbow on that jab would help avoid shoulder or elbow pain
I love videos like this that explain the physics behind fighting.
Best thing is, coming home after Muay tai/MMA training to fightTips
Elastic recoil is the easiest way to get a injury . Bone stack you may get a rolled wrist or joint pain if not conditioned. It's beat to flex or tense up just before the impact less damage . Resistance training with slow and gradual build up in conditioning gives a great result with minimum to little damage .
U make some good videos but this is one of your best yet. Good info
you are getting better and better with each video mate!
Can you do a CaneloGGG breakdown before the fight? Great videos as always!
Great video! Who knew there was so much specific information out there regarding such seemingly simple things? I guess there is mastery in everything.
I appreciate the bone stacking explanation. I first learned bout that in wing chun theory. Great vid.
Thanks man, thanks to you can finally throw a hook properly. I wasn't going back far enough to take advantage of the recoil.
Thanks you gave me a few more things to think about one of your better vids
PLEASE, when you use any kind of rotating kick (roundhouse, turn kick, etc) please dont forget to rotate on the ball of your foot. You will do damage to your knee after a while. This is also important with a hooking punch.
Thanx ,keep the good work up shane
You can also do even more bone stacking by having your non striking arm shoulder on line along with the torso. Essentially putting your entire torso in one line. In Wing Chun it's called pinsan choi. Literally side turned punch.
Nice Video Shane, can't wait for the fightbtips gear 🤔
Keep up the good work your channel is the best
Excellently explained. THX!
A video collaboration between the two channels would be most enlightening and fun to watch
Let's make that happen! Any topic suggestions?
Not to trash his channel too hard, but man please just review his content before you go any further.
The guy (*cross my heart, telling the truth as I know it*) lies or is uninformed about a lot of what he discusses. Could really damage your rep. being associated to that.
donkeytwoddle
He said Connor won the stairdown with Floyd.
Didn't know you could win those.
fightTIPS how'bout the psychological aspect of fighting...I think it's the channel's specialty, and I don't think you've covered the topic at his fullest (no one can ever do that now, anyway) check out a few videos he made on Jon Jones, Cung Le, mvp hipnosis, etc... Way to go Shane!
1:15 bless you
awesome keep up the great work Shane you my inspiration
Elastic recoil is why some greats like ray Robinson and ggg tend to lift right foot off the ground on power shots so the elastic recoil doesn’t take some of the power away. Let me know if I’m right or wrong I’m pretty sure they used to practice throwing right hand lifting right foot at the end.
Great video Shane
Thanks buddy!
Good stuff Shane, useful detailed information and tips. Keep up the great work.
This is amazing consistent content Shane. Well done to you and your team.
This is a really amazing video, helped me so much. Thank you Shane!
Really nice video, Shane. Also, you look pretty amazing at the moment, good form!
Shane the weasel is also a good channel to watch as is mindsmash
boggz gaming then check out Brendan Dorman too
weasle the god.
mindsmash is garbage bro.
Only weasel i see is in my own relection
One Only yeah it is
I've noticed, adrien broner caves his elbows while doing fast hook combinations. It's weird cause they still look like they hurt, it's probably how he's learned to snap his punches over time
Hey Shane can you make a video on how to win a fight where head shots are OFF LIMITS...thanks keep up the good work!
Amazing vids as always Shane! Keep up the good Work👌💯💪
Thank you, you taught me how to throw a proper hook.
Can you go over the 7/10 concept? I had a 92 year old red belt of Kosho Ryu kempo explain it to me and found it very useful. What I mean by 7/10 is you bring back the fist 30% faster than you came with it.
michaelbird27 Sounds to me like you would know more about 7/10 than Shane. Care to elaborate more? :]
Pugglen haha. I just watched a video on Derrida: you must be American like me www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjuoIeAvIrWAhWL3YMKHcjlBZsQwqsBCCcwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA I'd be happy to explain, as I understand it, which is limited compared to the man that explained it to me. I think it uses bone stacking, but uses what's called the two small triangles which enables freedom of movement and gets power from the body's center of gravity, which is right below the belly button. The tip of the two triangles derives from the center of gravity and extends above and below. The upper triangle goes to the shoulder and the lower triangle extends to the feet. It's important that the two triangles are roughly the same size. Using Newton's law: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction the two triangles should compensate for one another, meaning, when a pinch is thrown a small step is taken, the key is freedom of movement. The impact uses bone stacking as the strike comes from the floor and travels up the body in one singular motion, but instead of bracing the joints by flexing, the body remains relaxed until the exact moment of impact. Upon impact the fist, forearm, shoulder, back and buttocks is squeezed tightly but as soon the impact happens the tension is released and the first is brought back 30% faster than thrown. The reason behind bringing it back faster is because over time the shockwaves of stricking, especially with the left hand causes internal damage to the organs, most notable the heart. It's akin to hitting a baseball with the skinny part of the bat rather than on the sweet spot. The shockwave comes back to the fighter punching. Over the course of a bout this shock tires you out. The 7/10 punch avoids this harmful shockwave, instead, giving the opponent all of the kinetic energy. The 7/10 punch does not require turning over and is for barenuckle punching. Handwraps and gloves reduce the effectiveness of the 7/10 punch by adding a buffer between ones delivery system (the arm and fist) and the target (the chin or solar plexus) it's like a bullwhip.
Real good video. Your videos are packed with information.
fantastic information Shane, keep it up !
aey, fight tips
thanks alot for ur videos man, hope you know you got a fan form saudi arabia :D
keep them videos up, knowledge of fighting, is a knowledge of protection .
Well someone got a little bit exciting with color grading. I'm sorry I cant help it, that's what I do XD Great video as always Shane.
Love your work brother, Always good content!
You should do a fight training mythbuster series. A lot of bs going around like wacking your shins with bamboo and alcohol going around to bust
What can I say. These videos are AWESOME! Keep up the good work.
This is really helpful thanks!
I want those gloves. 10/10 would buy.

Samuel Velazquez I'm saying no because he doesn't have any content or subscribers
very informative. really this was a good lesson . shout out to Mind Smash
thanks for this shane, saves us the painful experience
+FightTIPS
Shane, honestly Mindsmash is no good.. I don't say it because of taste, just due to the validity of his content.
You produce real content without click-baiting, the exact opposite of his and many others' format; why I appreciate your channel.
It could ruin your credibility mentioning someone who produces un-researched conjecture videos.
Really hope this reaches you man and you review his content before moving forwards. All the best.
Just giving credit where it's due. Don't over think it, man -- appreciate the good information!
Hey Shane, what do you think about knuckle pushups on hard surfaces? Does this help in fighting performance?
Vegan Paradise Wanderer It's very good for wrists, but it's much better to do it on a soft but firm surface such as a tatami, as to not hurt your knuckles overtime.
It won't hurt your knuckles you can do them on concrete when you are good enough. I think they do help a little bit thoogh and they are not bad for your knuckles at all.
Vegan Paradise Wanderer sub me
Is it better to do them on hard or soft surfaces ?
Edward Pennyworth a
I love that you mentioned MindSmash! I just watched his video and have been a fan of the guy for awhile. Your even cooler now lol.
Haha thanks Jayden!
Great info, always learning Shane!
Never really taken Mindsmah seriously on that elastic recoil,it only seems to add a little to the punch.I tried it and I think that oldschool punches from the hip work better.
i love these details
Love your video sir. Keep it up. Special request... The Stockton slap. Curious about your perspective on this.
Hey Shane could you do a video about unorthodox fighters advantages and disadvantages?
I love mind smash!!! Glad fighter tips does too!!
Good vid Shane.
Love your channel!!! thanks for all the info, you are awesome. If you ever plan on running a seminar in the U.K, can you please, please, please let me know!
Doesn't he look like Francis from Malcom in the middle.
LOL and people have commented on previous videos that my little brother looks like Dewey
fightTIPS thaaaats why you seem so familiar to me!
I'm so weak at you 😂😂😂
chill bro😂😂
Good video! I hit the LIKE button even though Shane forgot to remind me!
This sounds extremely similar to how Bruce Lee described the difference between kung fu punches and karate punches, he said kung fu punches are like throwing a heavy metal ball at the end of a chain at someone while karate punches are like striking them with a solid iron bar, both do damage, but the way they are thrown is different.
Keep up I like all your videos.
You are the best
I would like more videos about biomachanics
I love ur content so much !!!! Keep up the good work
I love you Shane
Can you do a video on how to flutter on your feet like Muhammad Ali?
Got kinda hyped when I heard you bring up MindSmash 😂
Tnx for the best video. 🥊🥊
I thought i was breathing weirdly because of asthma until i realised jump aroundwas playing in the background
I feel like the delivery of MindSmash videos are pretty good, but I so many of his videos seem like he read a Wikipedia page on the subject, and then applied to whatever fighter people have been commenting for lately. Especially when he goes into things like cortisol levels and brain waves. He doesn't often say something objectively incorrect, but he often seems like he just learned something and is trying to apply it to as many things as possible. His knowledge of biomechanics seems similar in depth as well. Definitely fun to watch though.
"At the end of the day, it's the effectivness that counts, you don't have to look pretty doing it" *Shane Fazen* , 2017
Shane w I was wondering on how I could drain my opponent in a boxing match. Where and how to hit them to kill there stamina
Damn this was actually really great info thanks shane i mean it makes more sense explaining the mechanics
Hey Shane can you do a video on cleaning gloves/gear after workouts. And also do boxing gloves with mesh get stink faster?
Use anti-bacterial wipes, and let them air dry. You can use scented dryer sheets when they're dry to remove bad smells
