This figure feels like a “what if Prime woke up on modern day earth?” and I dig it.
I love it when they give older characters new alt modes, it’s okay to not be g1 accurate all the time, it’s nice to have something new for a character to be
Sure but at the same time, I think a lot of us are chasing that perfect version of the thing we fell in love with, so alt takes will always be fun, but we hunt for something that means more to our little selves.
Shockingly, the "please give" is actually louder this time. I was expecting it to be at least half a decibel lower than it was.

I love that it actually tries something new with the Optimus transformation, and almost transforms backwards to normal with the arms in the back and legs in the front. Between that, and the perfect head, I’m absolutely down to get this
I hope Hasbro does more realistic/licensed vehicles in the future, I'd love a modern ambulance Ratchet
Weirdly enough, first aid uses a more appropriate ambulance vehicle than G1 ratchet's repurposed van.

It's impressively well done.
I was never a fan of Optimus Prime, even when I was a wee lad, didn’t care for the character nor the designs regardless of the incarnation. But this, when it was revealed. Oh my God, this thing is immaculate, gorgeous, and awe-inspiring. The first and only time an OP design has gripped me and it had absolutely no right to do so. I need to pick this up.
Got Evo Bludgeon last Friday (pretty sure I’m one of the only people in Indiana to have found one at Target in my area). He’s got that whole Kingdom Dinobot/Grimlock thing going on- the first use of the mold as Tarn is good but not great, but the second use makes whatever oddities the first use has less egregious. Bludgeon’s colors just POP. 8/10
Nahhh Tarn is way better. Bludgeon should have gotten his own mold.
I got my earthrise prime from the Walmart reissue without the trailer and I’ve regretted it ever since, but seeing this come with a better version of it brings me joy and I will be getting this!
It’s got the Earthrise Prime leg-to-torso ratio that you pointed out. But I love the red they used here- it’s an excellent shade and beautifully glossy. Yes, the calves are way too kibbly in the back, but no doubt this figure has presence. That head is fantastic! And I think the wheel-shoulders look like traps. (Sorry, I’m editing as I’m watching, lol)
He also shows that it actually has shorter legs than ER Prime which is why the proportions looks better here than on that freak
@@izzik2781Honestly, if it had the separated hip-color that the Crimbo Optimus had (red thighs, black hips), it'd be even better. but as-is...I wants it, I needs it.

I’m not sure which version of this I’d prefer. I really like the different colors on the holiday version, but the classic prime colors look stunning. That transformation is gold

I thought it was super weird when they released the holiday version of this without a normal deco one first, but now that this is out I’m definitely gonna pick it up. I honestly like when Optimus has a different truck mode and this just scratches that itch

Shoot, I’ve been considering picking this up as a “Prime Universe Optimus” since the alt mode looks exactly like that take on Optimus to me.

It's a thing of beauty.
I don't know why, but I would've LOVED this design to be the Bayverse Prime design. Still has the G1 look to him, but also is more modernly streamlined. Like, I know we have ROTB Prime as a movie standard now, but I dunno man, this thing screams movie design to me.

This is genuinely awesome in that it's a completely new mold for Optimus, while retaining an amazingly realistic alt mode and familiarity. The original colors look great, but subjectively I really like the novelty of the Christmas themed release with his candy cane guns.
It is a really awesome figure. I don't like a lot of the Christmas colors my self, but I do like the green windows.
Something I love about this channel is how no matter what your logo is incorporated into every thumbnail
It's not always clever, by I always try to make it at least something.

I FINALLY GOT AN 86 SLAG!!!,im so happy i got him,hes completely unfindable here in italy and i already have grimlock and sludge,i am still getting over the fact that the original guy i was going to buy it from sold it to some one else

When I first saw this figure, my jaw dropped. This reminds me of the F00 redesign of the Rx-78-2; a modernized version of an old robot design that doesn't forget its roots while still making it sleek and refreshing. Also, the colors are very similar. I loved the aesthetics of the 1:1 statue and this Optimus is checking all them boxes. The head sculpt is sublime, the wheel backpack is surprisingly effective, and the truck mode is knee tingling. I don't know when I'm gonna get this figure, but I'm gonna.
It's really cool how much it manages to change while retaining the personality.
I don't think this is selling super fast, so you should have a fair amount of time to do it.
I've probably said this before, but someone NEEDS to make copies of this things head for other primes.

That alt mode is amazing

The only thing that bugs me about this figure are the feet, but if I had to choose between the way they did it or the way the old G2 toy (the *other* G2 Optimus) did it, I personally would still prefer the way they've done it here, just so it has at least the slightest opportunity for an ankle rocker.
I love this thing. I will never ever ever see it on my local toy store shelves, but I can at least love it from a distance...
I still don't understand how they had the perfect "Combat Hero" Optimus Prime mold by simply changing the direction the knees bend and flipping the thighs and couldn't be bothered to do so.
It is weird they didn't try.
Im so glad that a modern prime figure has a clean truck bed and not one with a huge hole (RoTB SS prime) the choice for the truck for this figure is a surprise but a welcome one. Thank you so much Mr. End for doing my shout out

I thought the holiday Optimus Prime looked super cool, and I love the normal colours on this! I’ll probably get this figure at some point. It’s on the wish list at least :D

0:38 I bought it. I hate Christmas. It’s too commercial. Yet, as soon as I had the X-Mas Prime in hand? I took the most winter wonderland christmassy photo shoot I’ve ever done. In front of my wife’s X-mas tree. I was so uncharacteristically enamored with holiday Optimus, I’m passing on this standard coloration of the mold. Something about that toy sparked the last vestiges of holiday merriment from my bitter and aged soul.
I absolutely love Christmas. I'm not too good for Commercial shit, I'm a Transformers fan. Give me that month theming and cozy feel.
Halloween is better though.

If the knees work when the waist is turned 180, this would make a great G2 Hero Optimus. I have a fondness for that G2 prime because that was my first complete Optimus.

I had bought the Christmas Prime, because my Birthday is on Christmas and I like the bot mode and the transformation. I wasn't planning on getting the the VNR Optimus, but I had an issue with my Axelgrease and Towline, I decided to reach out to Hasbro and they sent me VNR Optimus Prime and Origins Jazz as replacements for my broken Junkions with a note saying they didn't have the exact items in stock so we sent you what we had.
Sorry about your Junkions and your Birthday, that's gotta be a metric pain in the ass.

The VNR is the better of the 2 in my opinion, I didn't think the color would make that much of difference, but wow. The Christmas one is still good but out of the 2 VNR.
I grabbed this as soon as he went on Pre-Order, and have zero regrets. I feel no need for ER Optimus or Laser Optimus now, because this guy quickly became my default earth-mode Optimus Prime alongside the Siege as my Cybertronian one. They're both fantastic figures.

He looks well painted. Normally a good point, but I have seen way too many paint chipping to appreciate good paint work. Nowadays, good paint is just red flags to me.

I got the Christmas Optimus and love it. I, in my right mind, wanted this thing in those colors.
This Optimus is basically the iconic Filipino meme that is the "Optimum Pride" except they made the meme into an actual figure with G1 colors.
Funny thing is that I'm also Filipino though the Optimum Pride meme is absolutely hilarious

I personally love the vibrant color scheme for the Christmas version of this mold, with the green and red. This color pallete is great, but I like the unique colors more

What I can say about this version of optimus prime is if you want a really cool and badass version of optimus prime, get the Volvo optimus prime, and it has a head that represents g1.

I own the Christmas version. I love it, my favorite super hero in my favorite holiday colors! I see this version and looks awesome! I wish they make a Hero G2 Laser Prime! The white one! That would look awesome! This is the Motor Master mold! I am amazed how they could retool it that well!

Well…i wanted the Christmas prime.
I actually don't mind the backpack wheels on this mold, it's interesting and works a lot better than a lot of other wheel placements on Optimus figures. The only thing I really dislike is that there's only one smokestack.
I don't mind them either, honestly I think they are kind of cool here.
I hope they reuse this head on the leader 40th anniversary Optimus Prime next year. (Whether it be a package refresh of ER Prime or a new mold. Most likely a package refresh.)
