Professor Sergio Castellari explored the impact of climate change on biodiversity and analysed the main initiatives already underway at European level, offering a glimpse of the future challenges which the world and Europe will face in the next years. Graduated in Physics from the University of Bologna and gained a PhD in Physical Oceanography from the University of Miami, since 2007 he is "senior scientist" at the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC) in Bologna. the only way to motivate citizens to make these changes is via a carbon and a wealth tax! only then will the government have the funding to invent and apply the important big solutions and then the people will fill in the rest with their ingenuity. and we need a strong UN to manage this effort world wide.
