And Ezzard Charles and Joe Walcott were great Middle Weights.. but again.. never fought any good true heavyweights. The only person in your comment worth mentioning in the same sentence with Ali is Joe Louis.. but even he can't compare to Ali.. Louis is top 5.. maybe even #2 if you just go by era... but Ali is always #1.
Ali of 67 would have easly beaten jimmy young,Ali was past his prime but still took on big punchers like lyle,shavers etc,he went on for too long he should have retired after the forman fight in 1974.

Rocky Marciano was undefeated in 49 fights; Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott his opponents were also great.. Ali always did come back and beat his opponents for sure. I would say definitely he was the fastest and the best athlete of the Heavyweights.
