Do you mean 1/4" notched trowel? I would use either a v-notch trowel (3/16" or so) or a kerdi towel. Kerdi is a brand name used by schluter. If you find your mastic or mortar is coming through the grout lines too much then go with a smaller trowel. General rule is smaller tile =smaller trowel.
Probably a 3/8 x 3/8 x 3/8. That will allow some wiggle room for adjustment. If you find the mortar squishing out too much then go to a 1/4 x 1/4 x 3/8 deep trowel.
lollll you're funny you was scary (at 5:30 min of the video) to put tile on counter but (at 6:47 min of the video) you pull the bag of mortar by sliding on counter
+Rob Weaver - no it's not. Be grateful. I'm not even a tiler, but I needed to know what the different spreader tool dimensions were and when to use them and he explained that perfectly.
Lots of good info. Fast forward to 3:45 for 12x12 tile and anything larger than mosaics.
Hi There. Great video. Thanks. I'd like to know ? What size notch is best to use on a 12 x 12 inch tile ? U or Square notch ?
Thank you!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
I fell asleep, what did he say about 12 x 24 inch wall tile
Looking for a video that just goes through a bunch if tile types & recommended trowel for that tile. Real fast.
Great video!
Thanks a lot. Great job man
What trowel size to use for 4x12 in shower thank you
i am laying a 12x12 mosaic stone 4mm thick tile, so i would use a V-notch 3/8x3/8 or what size should use?
Elliotp 1/4x1/4 or vnotch 3/16x1/4
So if I am setting say 3x6 subway that has almost no grout line the 1/4 inch saw tooth is going to be the best choice?

Nice vid. What trowel size do you recommend for 6×24 porcelan tile?
