Since you've asked for comments, here goes: half of this video is NOT Golden Globe roasts, so the title is misleading. The parts you DID stitch together are disjointed and not the entire performances. There are other videos of ALL of his Golden Globe hilarity, not just the opening monologues, that are stitched together seamlessly.
Say/comment what you want but it is hard to deny that, despite what may be perceived as "uncomfortable," "disturbing," or this-or-that (i.e., misogynist, racist, etc., ad nauseum), Ricky Gervais (and others like George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, etc.) is basically distilling comedy to its core--- TRUTH! I don't pretend to be making a profound or even smart comment, but it just seems like he is exposing the hypocrisy, pure chance of life, and hopefully exposing the ABSOLUTE TRUTH OF LIFE-- we are all here by chance, we are all (and our lives) just a less-than-a-speck in the universe, and we might as well just have a LAUGH while here and do what makes us happy or at least make some miniscule meaning of it all.
Absolute legend
Ironically Robert Downey jr. came across as truly weird and disturbing, unlike Ricky Gervais who was genuinely funny and not the slightest bit creepy.
That man is gold
The Mel Gibson jokes just killed me. I swear, I’m dead. Come to my funeral!!
Madonna's response - priceless!!! Everything else - Ricky! :D
My man👊🐐
What about the 2nd half of the video? You just stoped ?!

Wow, I’m surprised there was no backlash for Robert Downey Jr.. I thought it was hilarious, but nobody was offended?
Nah people were definitely pissy about it at the time. But he wasn't nearly as big as he is now.
