There are so many types of Bull/Terrier mixes. If you call them Pitbulls in the US, people aren't happy either😁 .... I call mine a Bullydog because he acts like a Bulldog vs. an average Bull/Terrier. My Boxer acts like a Bull/Terrier.

Bad breeding and genetics can create mentally unstable dogs, sometimes even from great breedings and genetics you can still get one pup pop out that's mentally unstable. The same way some people lose it, animals locked up in zoos lose it, dogs also can lose it.

I think the hardest thing for dog owners is to realize that not all dogs are stable mentally and as such, they cannot always be rehabilitated. They don't have the same sense of conscience as we humans do. I respect your candor on disclosing what you saw in Bam Bam and that you informed his new owners of such before they took him.

Dismembered a Kid that was poking sticks through a fence. Said to run with other dogs in a pack. And dismembered other animals in are local petting Zoo. Many law suits. Sometimes enough is enough. Characteristics, Behavioral is very important.

My last (2) dogs, 1st dog same kind of story trying to attack my daughter with my 2 other kids alone trying to break her door down to get her… gave her back got the nephew and the nephew around year 1 he started doing the “”growling thing”” (never was a barker). So 1 day I came home and he wanted me to pick him up, he started the growling and I tried to slowly put him down, than bam right to the face, I had to hold him up while I took his mouth off my face 🤦🏽♂️ last pit 🥺
This is my thing. Dogs are not human..you can never raise a animal to be like a human. They are not meant to be like us. In the wild they live a certain way. Aggression is part of us all. All you can do is try your best to maintain it. And we all know dogs don't like people getting in their face all the time they are animals not human. 🐕🚨🚨🚨I own red nose pit bull male, I love him to bits, I spoil him and I admit he rules the roost! But don't think he'd ever hurt me coz he's full of love, bought up inside, sleeps with me and he loves other dogs, particularly his brother, and the neighbours pit.. When the 3 dogs are together they all copy each other, one kisses my foot then the others kiss my foot, all wanting affection...I was recently home invaded and I got the 3 pits to sleep at my place...I heard a noise got so scared I started crying...those 3 dogs wouldn't leave my side despite me saying ' go outside, check the noise' one went outside while others comforted me . The alpha male comes back all excited ....he thought he'd got the culprit....he brings in a dead possum ...he wanted a reward and a cuddle...I was also scared of the dead animal so these dogs think my fear is of possums.... sometimes if pits are in a really good pack they really care for u and protect u without training... never once has either been aggressive or fought.... They see me as part of there gang.
I’m willing to take aggressive dogs that’s my type of dog to break like wild horses. I’ve been bitten and yes they been some nice cuts but never in the face . But what he said that confidence not showing a warning is a bad sign . Food aggression is what I main my focus on . My dogs has never bitten anyone unless they were in protection mode and felt the house was in threat. The pits I raised have changed but their aggression was off mainly food and bkuz of dog fighting . I stopped dealing with pits now though but will take an aggressive one that has been deem to be put to sleep to see if I can make a difference and I have always understood the challenges and the risk of attack to me.
No that will turn your dog very unpredictable. The knowledge we have about e-collars has changed and it is no longer recommended to just punish your dog at full power because it creates more problems than it ever solves

Yk it’s bad because we don’t even eat the cob. I think they said the doctors told them it was pretty much impossible to get it out without cutting her up everywhere, then she’d have a bunch of other serious problems so they put her down. The story I told you likely isn’t completely accurate but the premise is accurate
I have a Belgian malinois he will hurt anyone that ain’t me or someone I’m not around daily. It’s okay to not have a friendly dog. But just know you don’t have a friendly dog. You have to know that. If you friend got bit it’s your fault not the dog. You knew the dog was iffy.
It happens not all dogs have great temperaments had a similar experience loved our dog we got as a pup from a rescue she was great with my family but one day a buddy of mine brought his kids around and I knew I had to put her down she was bitting through her cage trying to get to his young kids that day I realized what I had to do , if she had ever got out of our fenced yard I couldn't risk it 🙏😞
not all dogs are capable of being domesticated it's not their true nature... they are dogs... if i bred him and could not guarantee that he was 100% domesticated, then it's my responsibility to put it down.

Dog in my profile pic was the same way. Got him at 5 weeks (way too early) food aggression, animal aggression, children aggression. Kept him until 1.5 and he finally tested me. I had to either choose between 5k dog training that was a possibility of not working or take him to the shelter. Killed me to give him up but my children safety is my #1 priority. I love him and miss him dearly😢💯 #RIPGHOSTFACE.

Definitely. Be honest I’m not a animal person and the reason why is because I don’t believe nonperson should be exploring trying to tame any animal. As they should only be in their natural habitat amongst their own.
But there are also bad people and with animals you can have some that are bad as well

Dog in my profile pic was the same way. Got him at 5 weeks (way too early) food aggression, animal aggression, children aggression. Kept him until 1.5 and he finally tested me. I had to either choose between 5k dog training that was a possibility of not working or take him to the shelter. Killed me to give him up but my children safety is my #1 priority. I love him and miss him dearly😢💯 #RIPGHOSTFACE.
