Hello Richard. here somet to research. There is no 8 Billion ppl on this world, its yet another lie. I just counted the worlds 500 largest cities in the world and on top of that in my own research another 500 after that. The first 500 cannot reach 1,5B and the next 500 cannot reach 500 Mil.? That's almost 2 Billion out of 1000 cities. Lets say the other 1 B is scattered around in very small villages etc... So, that gives us almost 3 Billion, let say. You see the issue here? Where is the rest 5 Billion? Hiding in the forests?? I don't think so.
Love your content. Keep it up. Waking up others is almost an impossible task!

This is why they are creating a system that makes it obvious to us, that we will lose everything, if we don't act according to their rules.
I mean ... if everything you "own" is rented, and most of it data- and electrified, you can be cut off from everything, with the press of a button.
Currently they are training us to that idea, by arbitrarily cutting off people from communicating.

What if I create a social order in which men aspire to ... nothing? You'll only resist me IF you are seeking 'something different'.
We've taught women that men are toxic. We teach children ... God-knows-what. Most Brits believe that Taxation is virtuous, and that guns are evil. None of them has arrived at these beliefs, by independent thought ... so, I reckon it'll be a trivial matter to inculcate a culture of abstemption.

The minimalist living goes back at least 40 years. Currently de-cluttering ready to move house. Keeping all the books, DVDs, Music CDs and photographs and these will continue to grow.
Minimising actual clutter like too many glasses and too much crockery is actually very therapeutic as is getting rid of old clothes that you will no longer wear. The charity shops love it.

The Victorians lived in what we called "cluttered" now. They loved decoration, colour, richness in the visual life at home and in public. Their public buildings were designed to be beautiful. We are now forced to see the demolition of these buildings and replaced with cheap brutalist crap. I have thousands of books, my OH has 4 sheds full of tools, too.

But about 10 years ago I swapped over to history. Using my trusty Kindle I have a scadload of original history books which were digitized by Google before it became evil. All free. (I don't read modern history rehashes)... Were I to be strictly paper, a good deal of what I have collected and read would not be available via, say, Amazon print. Kindle has its uses. Oh, and another use is for the Bible. When was the last time you read that thing from cover to cover? It's all possible quite easily with the Kindle. It will even read it to you aloud while you read along. All versions....just pick one. And like those history books it's all free.

I like to own and keep. My house looks 'Lived' in, whereas many peoples houses have gone all modernised with interior walls knocked down to make it all open plan with the bare minimum of furniture and nothing else, very boring.

Yeah I've noticed that too with modern homes, or rather the people who live in them. If you're a younger person the interior of the rooms tend to look very plain looking, as you say open planned, etc and everyone now seems to have this obsession with laminante flooring even where it's in every room in the house. Living rooms today just look bland and featureless looking with no character, one or two tables here and there for the wifi router or family photos to sit on, and most TVs are hung on the wall like it's a painting lol. Years ago the TV and the TV cabinet added a certain character to the living room, where you put your video tapes on the shelf, but now because alot of people don't buy physical media where their shows and films are all on streaming sites or stored on an HDD all that stuff has dissapeared from living rooms. Back when I was young in the 80s and 90s my mum would buy porceline ornaments and dolls for the sideboard or glass cabinent, it gave the room alot of charm and character. Most young people aren't interested in anything like that now, everything is done minimalistic and as simple as possible, because most people are too lazy to clean and dust up.

One of the few things I learnt from a sociology degree many years ago was how "our homes are museums of our lives" They pay testament to who we are, who we have been and what's important to us. Our identity basically. Our uniqueness. Of course museums are carefully curated, not too crowded, but that's a very long way from total minimalism. I think the key (if there is one) is balance, but it's up to US individually what we keep and what we don't. That is what we must hold on to. As a fellow Worthing resident I commend you for your work on this channel and thank you keeping us thinking. I wish you a happy new year and am now off to dust my books! Best, Simon

I'm working my way through tons of fabric and making quilts. I have collected way more fabric than I need even if I live to be 125! But it's all being put to good use - and my clutter becomes big warm wraparound hugs. Viva clutter whatever you love best - those silly little things mean happiness and memories. I don't like the idea of minimalist, it is too sterile. My mother-in-law is currently emptying her house because it will be less bother for those tidying up after she's gone. I can see that point though - on the other hand she's given me loads of flower pots, containers and seed trays that she has no use for since father-in-law died. Richard, can I point out that some of us actually want to live a minimalist lifestyle! Personally, I love travelling lightly through life without all of the clutter and detritus of the past. I also prefer to live in a modern flat that is warm and looks light and airy. It provides a great base from which to live a life, it is NOT my life itself. And, on a more macabre note, I love the idea that when I’m gone someone will be able to sort out my estate in less than an hour rather than the usual months of misery. You suggest that it’s nice for relatives to be able to look through the your collection of ‘memories’… no it isn’t, it’s a huge nightmare causing a lot of stress to people as they work up to the courage to make the inevitable choice that they don’t want it and it will all have to be dealt with somehow.
Can I add? I live like this out of choice, not because some nefarious organisation tells me to!!! Happy New Year!

Hi Richard. Thanks for your great videos.
I hear and understand clearly what you are saying, but I believe there are 2 types of 'minimalisations' going on here!
I think there is of course, the top down agenda, but there is also a spiritual need for some, to as you said, get rid of stuff that no longer serves us, which is what I am and have been doing for many months now, bit by bit, as there is stuck energy in objects that are not liked or needed.
I can really feel that stuck energy and feel propelled/driven to get rid of all that no longer serves me. So that's what I do and immediately feel better once I have done that. 🤗👍
Stuck energy of any kind, stops us moving forward and stops other things entering our lives which would be more beneficial.

I think there has to be a balance. Clearing out the unnecessary stuff is not bad. Have some memory items but you really don't need to keep every birthday card and every photo ever taken. Balance and moderation is a great value to uphold with regards to consumption and accumulation of anything in my opinion. I have collated special boxes of family special occasion items, photos and kids old school books and creations that will equate to an evening or two of mutually spent time for my kids reminiscing but I do not want them to have to dig through wardrobes, boxes and whole rooms full of stuff or in search of documents leading to burnout and overwhelm.
