I think allowing more people has increased the influence of the 80% herd, so then it´s easier to use mass social acceptance of the abuse and laws. then once they have the societal structure they desire - cut the numbers. So yeah we´re here!! Most want to feel protected and safe. Family members have even been rejected, as the basic instincts kick in.

That's true, but I think most people like life to be as easy or pleasurable as possible. I do agree with a lot of what Bjorn says, but I've been a prepper for a couple of years and you do realise that some modern amenities are extremely useful and life would be much worse without them, it's just people can't help abusing things, obesity, addictions etc. If we had the choice of a scarcity of food or an abundance of food we would all choose the latter.

I just quit my job last year, after 24 years as a teacher. Looking back I recognize what a waste of my life it was. I finally quit, when my boss, who had 10 years in education, tried to tell me how to do my job.. What they share in common (this being a frequent object of discussion in my house) is an overwhelming number of paycheck collectors who end up burning-out their peers, subordinates, or others because they aren't pulling their weight...and find every toxic methodology to cover for their laziness. Blame whoever, lazy administrators, or unions, or lawyers...but it is the age old problem of the bad apple that spoiled the barrel.

In the city I was financially abundant and deficient spirituality emotionally and psychologically. Since I quit the city life I am abundant spiritually, emotionally and psychologically; and I’m working on the financial part. I’ve never been this happy and content in my life. I need so much less to be happy, just the nature, the rivers, lakes and trails. I have 5chickens and 3 garden beds I’m proud of. So much nature so much peace. I also cut out people and things that subtracted from my peace.

I’m from Romania, grew up having grandparents at the countryside, raising chickens, ducks, seeding, weeding, harvesting, canning and pickling the fruit of our labour.
Looking at the direction the world is going towards and the state of capitalist overconsuming greed…I’ve started reinvesting in growing more veggies and fruit at our country house, even if it’s far from the city and we can’t live there full time, but we can at least automate a drip system to water our crops in our absence. We also plan to buy more land to farm and work remotely exclusively.
It’s hard work, but rewarding work. Living in fear of getting laid off every single year from every single job we have is…just not worth the stress and the enormous blow to our health. It’s easier to prevent health issues than it is to resolve them after they occur.
It hits hard when I think about the state of the world. The many suffering at the hands of the few. Being programmed in schools to be a diligent worker, all for them to take most of the fruits of our labour and barely leave us with a living wage…It used to be that work value vs pay was an equal trade. It should be illegal to steal so many people’s fruits of labour to enrich oneself to the point of pointlessness, whilst the people who helped producing that wealth are struggling and can barely feed, clothe themselves and their families or keep a roof over their heads…

I had no idea it was coming. My advice is to take small steps to further distance yourself. The further you get the more clearly you will see and rely less on "the system". I live in the rural midwest and went into a new job a year ago. It's outdoors, physical, solitary, and long hours(12-13hr+ days). Once I adapted to the physical part, I love the job. I don't have to deal with people (except for one 2-3 min call a day from my boss about the next days work). I am not on social media at all, except for about an hour when I get home just to check emails and browse RUclips for a bit. I'm in the fields, outside, I see lots of wildlife, the physical aspect keeps me slim and in shape. It's seasonal, so I'm off for a couple months twice a year. I'm off right now, and actually looking forward to getting back out there, doing physical work by myself in the outdoors away from all the stupidity.

I think about checking out of this modern society every day. I want out, but ironically, in order to escape fully I need money, and to get money, I need to be in the system. So currently I'm trying to raise enough money to buy a decent plot of land, but in the UK it's extremely expensive, basically need to be a millionaire, so that seems impossible to me.
But there are levels of disconnecting. The step I've taken so far is to move out of the city, to a small town surrounded by hills, so I can walk straight out into nature whenever I want (and I love doing that). I've begun growing my own food in my garden, and foraging for things like berries, mushrooms.
I've completely stopped watching modern mainstream media, and actually find it repulsive now - it's such propaganda designed to make you hate your yourself and become degenerate. But I am now also completely disillusioned with most other people in my country and people my age - because they are so plugged into the system. I have nothing in common and nothing I could talk about with them. I don't know where to find like-minded people, but I'm probably better off alone anyway.

I'm from Netherlands so buying land here is seemingly impossible. But unfortunately we do not even have a lot of nature where to go to to forage or whatnot. My only option seems to be to exit the country. So i am likeminded but I think likeminded people see to be spread out in smaller numbers through the world. I'm in a smaller city and did start to forage a bit and try to recognize edible plants, surprisingly there are quite a few but the quantity of them is not a lot and some other people also know there are berry bushes near the river so they get eaten quite a lot ;) Anyway, yes its ironic isnt it? To get out you need money. Or suffer hunger maybe until you get to a place with wild edibles ;) There are countries with a little more affordable land (even Spain or Portugal or other countries overseas). But yeah, its hard if youŕe just plain poor like me. Wish you all the best to exit! Sometimes also I think it comes a little bit to a leap of faith, one could possibly even go somewhere a bit more wild and not own any land but then you definitely need to be sure of your skills to survive, definitely not super easy alone but also not impossible.

It took time, meditation and altered states of consciousness to see things as they really are, for me...The more paradoxes, the more it hurts to think about things, the more i know im on the right path... you are right, about everything you said. Without sounding rude, because I like this channel and I agree with the idea .... I'll give a couple of reasons. We don't have ancestral land rights in America. So we're either squatting on private land or being run off of public land, threatened with arrest, or forced into a shelter. We can not legally live off subsistence or hunting, and fishing because we're hungry. All this costs money now, the act of catching a fish to eat will land you in jail... even if it's a small blue gill, there are licenses and fees required to eat. If you don't own land, you can not build a farm, raise food, and grow food to feed yourself. As a citizen of America, I can't leave the system... it's been done by ceos and business owners who got help from friends or family to start, then they decide to purchase their freedom. Something a common man doesn't have the luxury of doing. I can't renounce citizenship and leave for a reservation unless you're the right kind of native. This system has locked us in from birth, and we can't escape unless we are one day able to buy our way out. That's the cold, hard truth. Can I give everything up and walk away, maybe disappear, sure... but go where? No land, no millions saved up, no property rights. There is no way out. To practice bushcraft living is great and fine, but you can't do that in America(legally) without being in your land or without paying for licenses and fees every year.

    • @ninnymuggins5159
      @ninnymuggins5159 Год назад +2

That is a really smart point, I hadn't even thought of that! Yes, you can't just show up and do what you want on someone else's private land. You DEFINITELY cannot hunt or fish on tribal reservations! And you do need to buy a license to hunt, and to fish, and buy the equipment. You have to pay to park your RV at a campground.

I get that we can do everything he says one way or another, yet there are so many requirements, obstacles, and money issues in America, unless you go about it by literally breaking the law, however respectfully by feeding yourself and putting a roof over your head. The system for citizens locks us in at birth. And unless we buy our way to freedom or actually being born into a Native Indian reservation. And even they have less land than you'd believe.

    • @ninnymuggins5159
      @ninnymuggins5159 Год назад +1

@@dseelenmagie8811 I think that you have to buy your own land AND it has to be zoned for those things. You can't just go drill a well anywhere, etc. The gov't still has to tell you what you are "allowed" to do on the land you "own" that if you don't pay property tax will be repossessed by them. I think you just have to pay the campsite and stay for a weekend and go back to your house.

So sad and true. We are not really free for a very long time. No money- no land. But i believe in what Bjorn is saying, to get out of the matrix trap system m if only partly. For most of us, it is partly.

It's more expensive to live in a city than a small town but people get so wrapped up in their present reality that they don't understand that. I found living in a city lonely because if you don't have money there's no much you can find to do. I found the people shallow and frankly hateful. A friend was telling me her social media makes her anxious so I told her to get rid of it and she looked at me like I'd lost my mind. She didn't believe I didn't have social media of any kind because it was 'essential' for having a social life. I'm a boomer and we grew up without it and I know we had a much happier life then. You had to connect with people on a one on one basis. I think the world will take this to the extreme then there will be a revolution of some kind, people will die and then we'll start again. Such a waste really when all this tech could be used to enhance life if only there weren't narcissistic psychopathic, greedy, holier than thou, control freaks using it to gain power over the rest of us.

You do "have social media of any kind", since you're posting on RUclips. But I get what you mean, and this is the only social media I am on as well. Narcissism has become an epidemic. Someone once told me, "if you don't post, you don't exist". (They genuinely believed that, it wasn't a social commentary or anything like that). That's the society we live in. I'm 34, and I agree, life and people in the 90's were much more authentic, real... normal. I'm not sure how to explain it. I guess mass narcissism and mass idiocracy are prone to happen when you suddenly give billions of people a smartphone with a camera and an online platform where they can be seen, heard, and get all the attention they want and never had. A significant portion of mankind is pretty much made of junkies at this point, all addicted to the dopamine rush they get via social media every two or five minutes. I can't even fathom the consequences of that in the long run.

It’s early days but I’m planning on putting one of the cows in the freezer, buying bulk pork off someone local and growing all our fruit, vegetables and herbs. I’ve got sole custody of my kids so am going to be homeschooling them from the start of 2024 and they’re already enjoying coming on hikes with me, learning navigation and learning to bow hunt.
After seeing how much things have deteriorated over just the last year moving to the wilderness was an easy decision to make. I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me to achieve my goal of being as self sufficient as possible but I’m looking forward to it and find that all the things I’ve enjoyed the most in the past were the things I had to work hardest for.

The mountains have kept me sane and from my lofty perches have seen the deterioration of the human race and the breakdown of family values. I am aware that not everyone can run to the mountains, but they can improve their lot by turning off the TV, turning off the smartphone and computer. It's nice to have what modern society can offer, but every so often we should take a look over our shoulder and see what we have lost or going to lose. Albeit a bit differently than you. Many find social media as a coping method, one that like many others is dangerous to one's overall well-being. Because of your channel, I have reminded myself of my resolution to be out in nature more this year. Even with my busy schedule to sit in the backyard garden, that I have cultivated for over 20 years to have coffee at sunrise. To rise early enough to hear the birds welcome the day with song and in the evening to hear the coywolves calling and indeed frighten me back into the house at times. LOL. Too many don't realise they have the alternative of escaping, and would prefer to be in convenient dependency on the state.

I realised at the age of about 15 that one of the few things that could make me happy was nature. I'm 59 now, and it still does. It never lets me down and I don't care what the weather does. Nature is the only thing that makes sense. And the world around me gets more and more insane and people more detached. I don't want what they want. I live simply and give my life meaning by doing old fashioned stuff like cooking, photography, writing, bushcraft, camping, baking bread and brewing beer, playing guitar etc. Living simply means that I don't need much money at all and I'm more independent than most people. I'm not rich. I don't want what most other people want. So I wholeheartedly agree with this video, and it's not as difficult as you think. The main thing is to listen to your own common sense and like minded people, not the mass of society.

Youre so on point with ppl being unable to detach. I semi detached back in 2010 when i took a volunteer position on an eco resort in st john, usvi. Tent living, boat living, watersports shack living, minimal cell service, etc Hitting rock bottom on an island is what everyone needs in their life. Everything changed for my perspective on life after that

I still write letters and send them by postal service. There is no interference from the government. When you receive it, you open the letter where and when you want , not tied to technology. No one can intercept or track when you read it. And everyone that I have sent a letter to that was still alive wrote me back. And told me how wonderful it was to receive. Something I thought I'd share.

And here I thought I was the last practitioner of letter writing. In the US they scan the front and back of every letter. Not sure why.

The post office now tracks letters. You can even sign up for a service that will tell you what letters should be in your mailbox that day.

I agree with what you are saying and dont wish to deny anyone the freedom to move to the woods, but as someone who has lived in podunk northern nh usa for the last 40 years, away from cities, neighbors and convenient amenities on purpose......i am having to dig deep inside as i watch everything change in a literal blink of an eye as people move in and develop every free piece of land as fast as they can. I now have to deal with traffic, crime, fireworks every weekend .....all the crap these people are leaving. Humans are our own worse enemy, we ruin everything

The video rolled on my feed because I am subscribed.
Referring to the subject matter itself.
I checked out from a young age.
Was blessed by my parents, going with a tent in the mountains.
    I learned bushcraft.
I learned to respect the mountain itself also.
I'll try to present my little story as brief as possible:
In front of the mountain fire.
I had a lot of friends, I was taking care of them and their soul purpose in life was to make me wasted with strong spirits, over the night.
Guitar music and laughter all around.
No longer a teenager, I earned to have someone close to me, in front of the fire.
The distant ziggurat answered my call as well.
But, sadly, all times had to come to an end.
Even so, I was in front of the fire still.
Mature this time, all alone, nostalgic of times passed but glad to have taken part in them at same time.
    Nature was still greeting me.
    Today ?
Due to " society " I am no longer allowed to place my humble tent and make a little fire even for me, in the middle of the ziggurat itself.
I would be punished with high fines and taxes to boot.
I just want to ... be left alone, with the wild life, and my " bonfire ".
Let me be food for the wolfs and bears if need be.
But I cannot, that choice was taken from me, by those " above " me who knows better, despite the fact that they did not put even a single foot in the wild in the first place.
Trapped in a tomb of cement, my city.
I'm looking in the morning sunrise, earning for that cold but blissful ziggurat air.
    I am bitter, true that.
But at least I know why I am so from the get go.
For whom took the time to read my humble comment in the void ?
    I salute you.
I thank you for your time, because time is precious in itself.
    👍
