I keep coming back to this review. It's one of the reviews that sold me on the car. "It's what BMW used to be, what Mercedes wants to be, and what Audi dreams of being." Well said! I bought a 2018 Ti Sport fully loaded a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Thank you for the quality content!!

Brian Potstra the handling is super quick. Reminded me of my mr2. Just wish they had a mid level performance trim around 400hp and priced accordingly. Rear spoiler should be standard. Otherwise fantastic car and exciting!

I have a couple friends who work at FCA. They said that the Guilia had several problems for the first model year 2017. They were all software except for one brake issue. All of those issues were corrected and Alfas are considered average in reliability now. Keep in mind this was a brand new platform so most first year cars have issues. My BMW had quite a few issues the first model year too.

Every reviewer *can* do a review in under 10 minutes, and all of them used to, but the videos got longer and more stuffed with filler because RUclips changed the revenue sharing algorithm to reward longer videos with a higher percentage of ad revenue. Look at the ridiculous extreme that Doug DeMuro took that to: his videos used to be 6-10 minutes, but now they're over half an hour, and 20 minutes of that is just filling out the time by climbing around the cabin, and telling a minute-long joke about each component that any person speaking normally would tell in 10 seconds. Also, most of the RUclips stars have done away with time-lapse photography. You still see channels like Carwow, Motormouth, Motorweek, and KBB still having normal-length videos that are actually informative because they also have websites or TV shows as their main business, and use RUclips for marketing rather than as a main source of revenue.

You do good work Mike, can't wait for you to get your gear and setup sorted out.
Crtique aside 62-63K for a sub 300HP car in this market is crazy, a Jaguar XE is honestly the better buy I think at that price.
And if we are talking pure bang for your buck than the Q50 RS400 and the Stinger are laughing all the way to the bank.

Hey Michael, your reviews get better every time! If you’ll forgive my bias (I’m retired from GM of Canada), I would love to see this car (the new standard as the “driver’s” car in the class) go against a Cadillac ATS- V (also recognized as supplanting the BMW 3/4 as a “driver’s choice). I hope you will, one day, have that opportunity. No doubt you are familiar, as you say, with this segment. You even took on the reliability issue, which is a genuine concern, once the fun of a week-long test is past.
    Good job, thanks.

I have the exact same Giulia minus the paddle shifters and seats. The Nero package blacked out some accessories and better rims. I’m a wider guy so the sport seats aren’t as comfortable to me.
The drive is awesome. Steering is exactly as he said. He is also correct regarding the entertainment/info center. It’s laggy and has a mind of its own sometimes. I knew that going in. I’m not driving it because my Apple Air Play isn’t perfect. The car is definitely a head turner with the montecarlo blue and tan interior and yellow brakes and blacked out grill and Giulia type font. I keep having people wanting to race which is annoying (dodges, bmw, wrx and civics). It happens at least three times a week.
I highly recommend one if you’re looking for a sporty sedan that won’t break the bank. Word of advice, with the suv/crossover market doing so well, you can get a great price on a sedan (Alfa Romeo) right now. I got mine for a steal.

I'm late to the party on this review. As for the unsatisfying engine/exhaust noise, when I test-drove this car on some nice back twisties the car provided me with lots of visceral inputs. I was focused on the the car's handling on those roads, and I must say it really delivered. I had no time to lament the noise, as I was otherwise deriving great pleasure from the driving experience; as you seem to be. So in context, and as a matter of perspective...?

I am sorry but your comment does not make any sense. Alfa's warranty in the US is 48months/50,000miles, that is "basic" warranty and powertrain warranty. Car warranty does not have anything to do with maintenance. Oftentimes premium car manufacturers offer free maintenance for 3 years but that is not an industry standard. If somebody told you that an oil change in a 4 cylinder engine or for that matter any passenger car engine is $850 they are scamming you.

How about IS 350, C43 or XE S... Should be below 70k and interiors (with options like acoustic glas) don't get much quieter than the aforementioned.
(Not with audi anyway, which is just a FWD car layout with tacked on AWD and big engines in completely the wrong spot. Results in terrible weight distribution and handles accordingly as it understeers with a passion. This thing ain't no "sport sedan". The heck, even the new volvos (S90/S60 polestar) would grip more.)

Purchased this car a month ago I didn’t pay for AWD; it surely didn’t cost me anything near $63K. Lexus GS F-Sport prior, turned back into Lexus in May. The transmission shot after 3 years and 48K miles. Audi A4 Quattro too many problems cam failure and total rebuild. My Alfa is nothing like I’ve driven before. It’s an exotic. Like my MV Agusta Motorcycles. People stare and ask question on both, however, more so with the Alfa. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

The interior looks like it belongs in a sub-$30k car.

We all agree it's a great car, however, it's a Chrysler so I'll pass. Thanks for your review.

Who knew Chrysler would built a car better at handling than a bmw. That’s impressive.

Beautiful car but it’s garbage. A friend of mine works for Maserati and says almost all of these and Silvio are coming back under warranty. The maseratis are no better. She advised me to stay away.

Kia Stinger GT Limited is much better, especially when it's 12 000$ cheaper, is better looking (in my opinion), MUCH more reliable and has a ton more features, again, for 12k$ less

In terms of reliabity nothing has change, italian cars are no good.

Yeah because they are very good and more reliable than German cars (5th place in the UK)

Reliability isn't a top concern for luxury car buyers. If it were, they wouldn't be buying British and German cars. People lease luxury cars, keeping them under warranty and never worry about long or short-term issues.

emdec55 True, but perpetual return trips to the dealer for repairs won’t cut it in today’s environment. Facts are facts, ... FCA has a poor record on this count, Alfa in particular.
