Love it! I have four daughters that are all grown now and I can tell you that the time that you two spend together is priceless. This is so very moving for me and hang in there and you will find that as time goes on that the confusion and depression that you are experiencing will fade. Keep up the great work Love it! As a side note my daughters bought me a 1966 mustang for fathers day last year and I too am learning and enjoying the process and I'm 64 years old and find inspiration from your videos. May God bless you and keep you!

Congratulations on your success with Carl, in 2017 I restored a 1963 two door Sedan. A friend of mine and myself did all that we could except for bodywork and paint.
You will get So much more enjoyment and satisfaction out of Carl by telling everyone that you did everything!!
The Falcon Community is Great, everywhere I go I get people come up and talk about Falcons.
You are doing a GREAT JOB!!

My 65 mustang had same engine. Straight 6. Great engine, great drive train. And the bucket seats were heavenly. Ellie you are so inspiring And EVERYBODY has depression and social anxiety.

Now Who would be the 1 and only to dislike your video?? I love the progress you made in one year and all the learning that both of you have gone thru. Kudos for sticking with the project and not giving up. I must say that you have surpassed my expectations. With work and taking care of wife and house my time is limited and my Ford F100 Truck is slowly gaining momentum. Have a newer engine for it that have disassembled over 5 years ago and still in pieces, A bed that is almost ready for reassembly and final paint and now working on fixing rust in the cab floor and rockers ,cab corners. You way ahead of me. Congrats. Looking forward to the next adventure in you life and Karl.

Great job Ellie! I restore cars for a living, you are doing a fantastic job! Here's a tip when you install your carpet. You will need to put holes in your carpet to install the seats and seat belts. I don't cut the carpet with a knife. I heat up and old screw driver with a propane torch, and from under the car I shove the hot screw driver through the bolt holes, and melt the hole through the carpet. I put bolts in to hold the carpet in place. It saves lots of time and it works great! But be careful! You have the best dad ever! The videos are great and they are just the right length.

I was diagnosed with what was then called extreme depression disorder, better known now as manic-depression disorder, when I was 11. I just turned 41 last week and I can honestly say I promise that with time and the proper support it gets much easier, even though the teenage years make you feel as it never will. Keep at it, you are an amazing person!
I cannot wait to see how Carl turns out! You guys are amazing, thank you for sharing your journey!
Also, mad props to Dad (and Mom I am sure) for the support and encouragement, you are doing it right.

You are so refreshing Ellie and it is amazing not knowing anything about a car that you jumped head first into it with your father that is great the bonding that you and him will make the last a lifetime good luck with the rest of Carl

I've been watching your videos and I have to say you have done a tremendous job on your car!
You and your dad need to be commended on the job your doing. I too have a 65 Falcon that I'm restoring and you have done things that I haven't even tried yet! Keep up the video's I'm learning things from you that I been hesitant to try! You should take your car to Carlisle and show him off at the All Ford show in June! With a video to be made and a story to tell. Thanks for sharing your adventures it is truly amazing haw far you have come!

As many others have mentioned, your journey with Carl reminds me so much of me at the same age. When I turned 15, my dad gave me a Chev 350 engine and transmission. I spent the next several months cleaning it and repainting parts to pass the time. Once I saved some money from my after school/weekend job I scoured the newspaper (pre-internet dayz, lol) for a good car to swap my engine into. I found and bough a 1973 Chevy Nova 2dr for $225! As soon as I had it home we began to remove the 6 cylinder engine and 2 speed transmission. I learned so much working with my dad on that project and will remember that my whole life. I really enjoy your videos and hope Carl turns out better than you ever hoped. BTW I found out about you last night on the Car Guy/Six Fan live show.

Awesome job on the Falcon, I use to have a 67 dark metallic green when I was a teenager and loved it!
Committing to a project that you love focusses your attention on it rather than you and redirects your anxieties to good ones and not bad ones!
Love your videos and more fathers should be working with their daughter's out in the garage!

I've been watching your videos in order to see how your progress is coming. In this video you stated you had alittke things to fix with yourself and Carol. It takes someone special to admit things about themselves and I can tell you are a special just by watching your videos. You and your dad are doing a awesome job on your project. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos as you learn to build your project. Keep up the good work, yiu are doing a awesome job!!!!!

It's been so fun watching you and your dad go through this process. My dad and I re-built a 65 Falcon Futura 4-door as well during my high school years. We didn't do it to the level you are but this brings back a lot of memories of times with him. I lost him in 1997 and it's great to see the bond you guys have as well as seeing the car again is wonderful. Looking forward to seeing the final result! PS, Ellie, I suffer from depression as well and I think it's very brave of you to do this series and I love that it's helping with your depression/anxiety. I started podcasting years ago and it's helped me immensely with the interaction with others. Cheers to you and your dad!

Ellie, I've been a "back yard" mechanic for years and you've been an inspiration for me to keep on going. You and your dad are the best, and I am so glad I saw your video featured when I was looking at items on Eastwood. I've been watching several of your videos every night for the past week, or so, and now I am almost caught up! Three cheers for taking on your personal trials and turning things into a positive. I can't wait to see the body and interior work you do. You both rock!

I've been enjoying your progress on the "nice Ford". I've been subscribed since almost the beginning. I was actually brought to your channel by AutoRestoMod.
Depression sucks! It's something I've grappled with for 40 years. It's mostly good days these days, but I still have bad days. As many here have said, it will get better. Sharing is a way of feeling better, there are many more people that know what you're going through than you might think. Hang tough!

Very good!.. You two (you n Carl) just keeping moving forward... If you and your dad install the headliner , likely your patience will be challenged. I installed 1 headliner about 30 years ago... There are many tricks to getting a headliner to look correct and nice that I had no clue about. Good job on ol Carl.

I’m hoping to get my own RUclips channel going and I deal with social anxiety as well. It’s really tough to get going on something so out of my league. I’m a 52 year old woman with a collection of early 63-66 Valiants and barracudas as well as a couple of early Econoline vans. No experience with RUclips but I’m learning from amazing people like yourself and your Dad. I only wish my daughters had as much interest in my classics. Would love to do a mother/daughter build like you and your dad are doing. Keep up with the good work, you’re doing an amazing job. 🧡
