I just love the map by looking at it. It is just so beautiful and holds everything a Bob's heart can wish for. And, as a Lord of the Rings fan, all the iconic castles/ruins make things even better. This might be the best free-to-play map ARK has every seen!
as a huge nerd and lotr fan, this map is amazing in every sense of the word. I've been on the map and have accumulated great wealth from the mines of moria, and sacrifice things to Balin, the most ballin dwarf in all the land. And they call it a mine, A MINE! rip Balin
Despite being an ark veteran, i always love seeing these survival guides and i just played fjördurs official version yesterday for the first time, so this is coming in just in time! :)
Holy thats an ultimate tutorial to the map! But theres one thing you missed, if you punch the cubic boxes that are in Cunning cave or in the Erebor next to the anvil you get polimer (not organic)
Nicely put together guide. Breaking the beach crates/barrels with a tool (pick/hatchet) will yield better results, including cooked meat from the intact barrels.
Desmodus is freaking awesome. Especially because you can use Sanguine Elixir with Immersive Taming mod, very helpful. The one problem I have with them is that you have to hold R to toggle life steal and night vision and it's the same button that throws your shoulder pet when you're mounted
This video is actually wonderful timing, me and some new buddies of mine were discussing setting up a fjordur server and I was worried about not having enough information to have smooth sailing with the map
The fjord hawk is taming faster with heavier corpses I tried to take a calicotherium and I get encumbered but with a parasaur not On the wiki it’s written “The drag weight of the dino carasses affects how much progress it made per scavenging.”
Your map survival guides are the best Raasclark. I still watch prior map videos for pleasure, due to your great presentation. You have gone far in beyond on the Fjordur one, it is very in depth. I watch your content daily from here in Australia. I appreciate the constant flow of content and hope you are rewarded for your hard work down the line. You are number one in my book for Ark vids. Peace out!
Oh, I loved this guide, mate. It's so detailed and well done! I love it! Great work covering all that in such a brief time. I've been playing this map for only 2 days but it's amazing so far. And with this guide, I've doubled my desire to keep playing!
I think we can all agree that this was one of the best explanations of the map and what the objectives are for this new adventure. Haven't been on ark for months but, this... this I'm coming back for.
There is a cave at around 80, 05 or so. I would have to go back to it to double check the exact location. You have to crawl through a tiny crack in the mountain to get inside.
I really hope Ark 2 offers players a vast array of creativity, and that it'll be easier for players to craft glorious maps like this. Players are the lifeblood of a game series, and I hope the head of Ark see this, and give players free reign to create to their hearts content.
Yeah and the compression is going to be crap so ARK 2 will need 2TB of hard drive space. My current ARK install is 612GB but I contribute to the modding community so I have a lot of extra files in there for mod/map making. Literally had to buy a hard drive just for ARK and one other game. Hope the head of ARK hires someone not off the shortbus like they did in ARK with zero credentials and no ability to pack or compress game files. I seriously think they just went out on the street and bribe the first homeless person they found with a sandwich to do their compression algorithm. Currently ark really works AGAINST creators and has shitty tools to craft our own worlds. They actively work to limit creativity with garbage systems and organization.
@@davidmoak1219 They likely had no idea how big Are would become. That doesn't really excuse them not fixing the issue years on, but hopefully they'll correct it now. Ark 2 is meant to be better, and they're making a lot of in game changes, and this will likely be one of them. I think they might do it like Minecraft Bedrock, with their market place. I honestly wouldn't mind paying for good mods, because you guys spend SO much time on them, you're practically making a new game.
@@mulqueen2023 They probably just don't want to go back and compress all the files and deal with the problems that arise. I'm sure ARK 2 will be much better in this regard
I want ark 2 to eliminate meshing please and focus more on pvp than pve stuff extinction fucked ark up with the titans and stuff people keeping the titans 24 hrs a day big tribes of 20 plus cheating with meshing and stuff like c'mon fix your game you have made enough money
Your voice is very pleasant to listen to. As someone who struggles with tones it makes it difficult to enjoy an ark video with some people narrating. This I could hear everything you were saying and it was informative. Thanks Raas. Can’t wait to binge watch more videos from your channel!!!
I'm going to be brutally honest, Mjolnir looks pretty anticlimactic from what I've seen, like it's cool and all but for literally slaying every endboss, collecting every explorer note and runestone and beating Fenrisúlfr on Alpha I'd expect it to at least be able to zap a Dodo to death, the lightning seems pretty weak if it even does damage
Sounds like it would be better if it stunned enemies, like the Tek Pistol. I haven't tried it out yet, but maybe it does damage to Tek structures, the same way the Voidwyrm does?
Ya idk what your talking about. Frankly you shouldn't be making comments like this untill you try the weapon it self. Leads a poor taste in peoples mouths who havent tried the map yet. From what IV SEEN heard and read. Mjolnir is fucking awsome lol and its a Throwable Hammer. Making it awsome by default.
At 7.50 while looking down on gandalf bridge at the aberrant cave area there is a hidden cave on the right hand side (from the point of view in the video) at the same ish height. it leads to a kind of super charged aberrant zone with gas veins and such. Its not huge but its great
Me and my tribe have the base at 53, 70 it's a really good castle and easy to hold off, only problem is there's constant action. Luckily no one's made it past the turret towers on the outside.
Surprisingly, I managed to snag one of the rooms in the Lunar cave on a constant ~45/100 after joining late (1 week later) Either no one knew about it yet, or they didn't like it. Their loss, my gain :3 *_(PvE unofficial btw)_*
Thank you for this. It saved me months of potential suffering. I'm a solo player and had been gone from the game for awhile Coming back I was under the impression that the Devs had decided to make the game too hard for casual or solo players, and seeing all of this, I realize that I was right, It has reached the point where ARK is pretty much unplayable unless you are an Elite player with either a small group of more Elite players or a big Alpha Tribe. I just wish they would simply make that clear on the store page so that players like me don;t wind up shelling out money for the new expansions to then find out that we can't even begin to finish them.
What a ton of work putting this video together!! Thank you its very much appreciated!! Especially as an avg player. I've been taming and breeding and grabbing items to hopefully finally beat a map. Thanks mate!
This video was amazing and there's still plenty not covered, what a map. I've been waiting for the lag to die down and it has. Time to begin my adventure!
just got back into ark and I was like huh cool a new map. I kinda hated it cuz it just consisted of mountains at first but I picked the bottom left spawn. But I remembered your old map guides and Im glad that Im gonna give this map another shot but go to the fun part where stuff actually is.
That was a great guide! I haven't gotten very far in Ark, and by the looks of all these caves it would be best to just start off on the Island and then go to later maps, those are a lot of requirements, and the caves are more hidden than on the Island
