Incredulously I convinced him it was indeed Prince. I also showed him my wife's All Things Prince Library. He got this huge smile across his face and said, "I definatley have some catching up to do!" My wife volunteered to walk him through it. When Prince broke out into his guitar riff he just sat there in a dream like stupor. "Yeah, I guess it IS him. Sounds like him!" And yet another time capsule Purple Rain Indoctrainee...

Actually ive overdosed and an hour after i came to from being on the restroom floor for maybe 10 minutes i went to work i felt shitty all day but yea mann i think he took his own life due to being lonely and feeling like his life was complete
Hello Tess, I hope you receive this in good health. So this was a little concert to promote the Emancipation album coming out one week after this performance. Prince had a concept on how to get the news out to the public by using media outlets and reporters. Those in attendance were mostly invites from the Prince camp giving via email to newspaper reporters, magazine editors, tv reporters, news outlets, radio dj's and executives. There were some of his friends there and it was also done to celebrate Mayte's birthday that day. It was also simultaneously aired live on MTV, VH1 and BET at the same time. Pretty dope when you think about it. Dancers were from the dance studio in Minneapolis and rehearsals were only one week. To avoid a mass migration of onlookers and those not invited the invitations were given just 3 days before the concert. Some celebrities were there also, Boyz II Men, Donatella Versace, Phish, Bill Bellamy, Mavis Staples and D'Angelo. Anyway that's why the audience looks a little different than a regular venue concert. Oh and in case you didn't know this was done at his home Paisley Park. It's one of my favorite videos to watch. The original is like 30mins long and so good. Check it out. Peace
