I still remember when this song came out. My grandpa was a huge fan of the Stylistics so he was really critical of this version of the song. But he always had a lot of respect for Prince so he dug this one too. When I was a little kid comin up in Harlem and this video would come up on MTV, my grandpa would say "I don't know what the fuck this guy is tryin to do with this weird ass video, but he sang his ass off in the song!" and he would still sing to it as if he were listening to the Stylistics themselves singing this song. I miss my grandpa. He passed away in 2010. at 86 years old.

Just finished a VIP "Ultimate Prince experience tour" of Paisley Park. The BMW Z-3 is Parked in the Concert Hall along with his other Vehicles right where this video was filmed, The Ear pieces that he's wearing are also there. And this video along with countless others was filmed and recorded there. It's a very emotional place to visit now. We Truly miss our beloved Prince.....

That when you die, you are just dead and in the ground or cremated. I do not believe this way. I believe that we all have a soul and spirit. I lost my daughter, Gia when she was 16 months old due to medical negligence. February 6, 2019 will be her 10th anniversary of being gone. She would be 12 years old this September. Myself, her siblings, her father, and many other family members are still in a lot of pain. We miss her everyday!!
