I love how dried up he looks. Because it makes sense. The blood leaking out is even black with how old it is. His vessel has ran out of time, it's ran out of blood, and it's going to most likely be destroyed soon. And then how he moves, excited to come home and make his own vessel. Yet then when he loses his face, he reaches out and clutches his throat, almost like he's scared or regretful. And then, he reverts back, coming to terms with his vessel's fate. It's just such an absolutely perfect way of showing what he's thinking, and how he feels about losing his favourite vessel. Excited to finally come into his own and not have to use another vessel, yet somewhat regretful and upset he has to let go of this one. It's just.. great.
I also like the whole white void they seem to be in like it's symbolizing not only is his favored vessel withering away, so is the world it once inhabited

Something I absolutely love is that Lord X has aged along with the EXE mod. In 1.0/1.5, he was in his prime; in 2.0, his sprites were a little darker and wrinkled. Finally, in 3.0, he's reached the end of his life cycle; his blood, once red with life, now dried into a deep black. His spines and fur are ruffled up and messy. His skin now shriveling up.

Execution is the encounter with an imitator/clone of the main bad guy. Cycles is the first encounter with the actual main bad guy. Fate is the epic final battle between the hero and the main bad guy. Trichael is the strangely emotional send-off between the hero and the main bad guy, who throughout the story have gained a strange kind of respect for eachother.
I like how he looks a bit more at peace and friendly, it shows it’s been quite a long time since his time of killing and his vessel is slowly dying, he’s been isolated so much his aggressiveness has dissipated more. He’s more thankful and joyful despite his vessel’s lifespan being almost over. though his glowing eyes tell a different story for his soul.
I love your interpretation of the "End of the line" sprite set for Lord X. He looks a lot more ragged and malnourished, but his expressions look genuinely ecstatic and energetic rather than him just trying to freak people out. And as "normal" as Boyfriend's sprites are, he likewise carries the mood of the song very well. He doesn't look like he has a determined, cocky grin. He's happy to be out of the frying pan and the fire, but still seems to have respect for Lord X's sense of maturity about the ordeal.
Someone commented that this was the best take on Lord X, and I have to agree- There's just something so creepy about the way he's saying goodbye to BF as if he is some sort of loved one. The way he's rotting yet dancing gracefully and joyfully only makes it worse. Definitely one of the best takes of Lord X probably ever
Loving the sprites, but I really want to talk about the song. The fact Lord X chose to spend some of his vessel's final moments singing in such a heartfelt way with BF shows that the evil immortal god that he is was able to form a true connection with someone that is insignificant in comparison to him. I like to imagine that as X got weaker, him and BF started to become more like friends. I imagine them looking back on their time together and getting to know each other more, maybe even wishing to meet again at some point. It shows that even the void itself is capable of compassion once in a while
I have a feeling the song is about how Lord X enjoyed toying and taunting Boyfriend during his days in the Sonic vessel, but now the vessel is dying out. Although the vessel dies out, Lord X will always be with him, just in a new form.

you know what i find really nice? at first X is uncertain about his passing. then he tries to put it in words he understands. then he gets angry about his face. then he doesn't want to lose his favorite vessel. and finally, he accepts his passing, celebrating it even. does that list remind you of anything? if you guessed the cycles of grief, but a bit jumbled, you'd be right! it's disbelief, bargaining (a bit of a stretch, but i guess he's asking for words of peace), anger, depression, and finally, acceptance. seriously though, his raw joy by the end for his passing to the afterlife is so endearing. it's why i love Lord X so much now. this song is the rope that holds me to this character. bf's vocals as backup, even more so as chords at the end, make the song so much better. his vocals in this song, while i've heard them a few times in different songs and speeds, have never been so powerful here. i hope that when X makes a new vessel, he makes it and everything goes perfectly, and he can live how he wishes.
Something I really love about this song is just how respectful both of them seem to be,like X knows that he can't kill BF in this state,but instead of going apeshit like Xeno he simply thanks him for the fun BF provided,because he knows in the long run he's scarred BF and he won't be forgotten. BF in these sprites also doesn't really give off the cocky "lol can't touch this" feeling,he knows he's won but isn't rubbing it in. X's sprites are just great,the corpse isn't just falling apart,it's essentially melting,barely being able to stand and yet X is throwing his arms in these big gestures (even giving BF a polite bow when his face comes off). This is such a good song and you did amazing on the sprites.

Maybe its just me but the reason I feel BF isnt going full blown douche is because in most cases where someone dying in front of him its mostly played seriously if Garcello is anything to go by (as serious as you can get of a videogame that is). But in this case like you pointed out, Lord X knows he lost but to him this was probably the most fun he has had in his undying life and for the record, Death isnt just a phase to him its more everyday way of life in general. And let's put this into perspective, he could've chosen anyone or anything to spend his last moments with and he chose the one guy who literally stood against him and beat him? That's someone worth spending your vessel's last moments with rather than just someone random or alone.

Yes he is extremely happy but since his vessel is finally rotting away he’s kinda glum bc Sonic was his fav vessels you can kinda hear the sadness in his voice
I feel like LordX and BF were having a mutual chat, seeing how boyfriend physically cannot die due to his constant ability to respawn and try again, and LordX despite being a heartless brutal demon, just talking to boyfriend on how excited and scared he is to have a new vessel. And bf is just encouraging him, leading to the final vocals 2:46 explaining how he thanks boyfriend for his time with him. He has a tiny little dwarf that he can sing, kill, and torture with, and that to LordX would be the closest thing to a friend he'll ever have, asides MX and Hypno.
By the way imagine if MX and Hypno were in the mod saying they’re goodbyes to like they’d be right next to boy friend singing along with him not even caring that they are singing with bf because they are saying they’re final goodbye’s to Lord X.

He's crueler than the OG Sonic.exe, but it was just his way of having fun, and wanted to have friends, he couldn't help himself in this heinous action cause it was too fun for him, so he tormented and masscared them all I can't get myself furious at him
I loved the start where x was coughing showing the vessels throat is decayed to the point where x doesn't sing by beeps and boops but he's actually speaking (and on that note i also noticed how his voice is always depicted as grainy and pixelated but in this it's fluent and clear with some reverb)I also love how he's is depicted with pale dark blue fur and more orange skin but occasionally his drawn with a dark teal and his skin is a darker tone of white with a tiny bit of light green.
Every detail on this is amazing. Face expression looks really like he finally found his own freedom while his this is not a goodbye forever and he knews it. This is my favorite lord x reskin ever. Rotten design, without face sprites he feels even more comfortable and passed out anytime soon. And of course this made by some love so thank you.

I like to think of the start (before the lyrics begin) his mind is still telling him to play completely by Boyfriend’s rules. But once he starts singing, he comes to terms that he’s finally gonna be back, in the PC Port world, immortal again. And every Lord X redesign was him switching vessels, because the current one couldn’t sustain. Another quick theory, is that he played a game with every other EXE in the mod, whether hide and seek, a race, an argument (for Coldsteel.) and anything else just specific to their characters, telling them “Listen, I may have been one of the strongest, and a figure to live up to, but you must continue. We will all be free soon, I promise.” and specifically to Majin, Sunky, Xeno, and BF “I thank you four, you kept my smile true, showing me what real fun looks like, teaching me to enjoy the small things in life, to not underestimate an opponent, and most importantly, that one can even learn past godhood, whether it be my teachings (to Xeno) or me learning. It travels though space and time,in search of something to do,since is powers are unlimited,but yet - boredom can still take over even if you are God. Is just...that he dosent really understand the concept of dreed,violence,evilness,because he is way more higher than any intelegent lifeform ever known. Imagine him as child. Cruel,but innocent. Because,if nobody tells child what is bad,and what is not They will never understand this concept. So,X dosent understand what is like,to die,to suffer,to feel pain or either he does understand this,but he is unable to fully form vision on it,since he is unable to fully understand any of this.
In terms of MX, X probably will still have connections. He’s getting a replacement vessel so he’ll still have his memories, but he’d rather use something more like himself than Sonic.
Ok I just thought about this; not only is this sad for Lord X, but it's sad for the real blue blur himself. After X killed him and used his body as a vessel his old, ragged body is decaying as X is holding onto it up until it's very last moments. Sonic's legacy ends here with the only remembrance being the trauma his body was used to inflict.

I think Lord X would just make another sonic vessel. Going by their lore, they have been on earth for about 10 years, and considering their vessel is constantly decaying, I think it's a pretty common occurrence. Basically, this song is Lord X's version of "It's that time of the month again"

This song is like Lord X's swan song if was meant to be the last Sonic.exe mod for this game and Lord X isnt really angry just that he is just happy for the memories he had made and that he must go and to be honest out of all the Sonic.Exe's that BF had the misfortune to come across Lord X at least was something different he was not always saying "He is god" or trying to kill him outright and Lord X found BF amusing because out of all the games he tried to play with him he always came up on top and despite him being in control he never once regret each of his encounters with BF even if it were constant defeats. But now that the vessel he controls is nearing its end the only thing that is left to say goodbye and he wants BF to know that there were no hard feelings and that he will always be around. Also the best part of this in my opinion is that BF is probably one of the few people that Lord X has come to respect and appreciate because he could've chosen his last moments doing what he did best but instead he went to the one person who he could not outplay. Plus I feel BF is probably the only person that seen Lord X at his most vulnerable because the song itself feels him having a heart to heart with him. Still awesome job with this reskin.

it's disbelief, bargaining (a bit of a stretch, but i guess he's asking for words of peace), anger, depression, and finally, acceptance.
seriously though, his raw joy by the end for his passing to the afterlife is so endearing. it's why i love Lord X so much now. this song is the rope that holds me to this character. bf's vocals as backup, even more so as chords at the end, make the song so much better. his vocals in this song, while i've heard them a few times in different songs and speeds, have never been so powerful here. i hope that when X makes a new vessel, he makes it and everything goes perfectly, and he can live how he wishes.

Something I really love about this song is just how respectful both of them seem to be,like X knows that he can't kill BF in this state,but instead of going apeshit like Xeno he simply thanks him for the fun BF provided,because he knows in the long run he's scarred BF and he won't be forgotten. BF in these sprites also doesn't really give off the cocky "lol can't touch this" feeling,he knows he's won but isn't rubbing it in. X's sprites are just great,the corpse isn't just falling apart,it's essentially melting,barely being able to stand and yet X is throwing his arms in these big gestures (even giving BF a polite bow when his face comes off). This is such a good song and you did amazing on the sprites.
You'd think this would lead to a dynamic where lord x goes for BF as his next vessel? Or, if I understand right, bases his next one off of BF when he makes one?

Maybe its just me but the reason I feel BF isnt going full blown douche is because in most cases where someone dying in front of him its mostly played seriously if Garcello is anything to go by (as serious as you can get of a videogame that is). But in this case like you pointed out, Lord X knows he lost but to him this was probably the most fun he has had in his undying life and for the record, Death isnt just a phase to him its more everyday way of life in general. And let's put this into perspective, he could've chosen anyone or anything to spend his last moments with and he chose the one guy who literally stood against him and beat him? That's someone worth spending your vessel's last moments with rather than just someone random or alone.

Wow, you managed to nail the bittersweet but horrific feeling of the song with the sprites. He looks so genuinely happy which is weird and terrifying to see from Lord X.
Yes he is extremely happy but since his vessel is finally rotting away he’s kinda glum bc Sonic was his fav vessels you can kinda hear the sadness in his voice
I feel like LordX and BF were having a mutual chat, seeing how boyfriend physically cannot die due to his constant ability to respawn and try again, and LordX despite being a heartless brutal demon, just talking to boyfriend on how excited and scared he is to have a new vessel. And bf is just encouraging him, leading to the final vocals 2:46 explaining how he thanks boyfriend for his time with him. He has a tiny little dwarf that he can sing, kill, and torture with, and that to LordX would be the closest thing to a friend he'll ever have, asides MX and Hypno.

I loved the start where x was coughing showing the vessels throat is decayed to the point where x doesn't sing by beeps and boops but he's actually speaking (and on that note i also noticed how his voice is always depicted as grainy and pixelated but in this it's fluent and clear with some reverb)I also love how he's is depicted with pale dark blue fur and more orange skin but occasionally his drawn with a dark teal and his skin is a darker tone of white with a tiny bit of light green.

I like to think of the start (before the lyrics begin) his mind is still telling him to play completely by Boyfriend’s rules. But once he starts singing, he comes to terms that he’s finally gonna be back, in the PC Port world, immortal again. And every Lord X redesign was him switching vessels, because the current one couldn’t sustain. Another quick theory, is that he played a game with every other EXE in the mod, whether hide and seek, a race, an argument (for Coldsteel.) and anything else just specific to their characters, telling them “Listen, I may have been one of the strongest, and a figure to live up to, but you must continue. We will all be free soon, I promise.” and specifically to Majin, Sunky, Xeno, and BF “I thank you four, you kept my smile true, showing me what real fun looks like, teaching me to enjoy the small things in life, to not underestimate an opponent, and most importantly, that one can even learn past godhood, whether it be my teachings (to Xeno) or me learning. You must move on, though.”
I like this. He may be twisted and horrifically cruel to us, but his mind is just... fundamentally different than ours. We can't comprehend him beyond the base level. He's still just a person. Just one that also happens to be equivalent to an outer god.

Is just...that he dosent really understand the concept of dreed,violence,evilness,because he is way more higher than any intelegent lifeform ever known.

Ok I just thought about this; not only is this sad for Lord X, but it's sad for the real blue blur himself. After X killed him and used his body as a vessel his old, ragged body is decaying as X is holding onto it up until it's very last moments. Sonic's legacy ends here with the only remembrance being the trauma his body was used to inflict.
That's not how it went down, he just uses a random victim and turns it into sonic instead of using the real Sonic's body

I imagine that X is so sick and twisted that despite being in terrible agony due to his dying body he genuinely found the concept of death(or even his death) so fascinating that he was actually excited, and this skin perfectly captures that. He politely waits for his turn and when it's his time to move he frequently bows to BF and even extends his arms for either an embrace or to give BF the center stage. Well done.

This song is like Lord X's swan song if was meant to be the last Sonic.exe mod for this game and Lord X isnt really angry just that he is just happy for the memories he had made and that he must go and to be honest out of all the Sonic.Exe's that BF had the misfortune to come across Lord X at least was something different he was not always saying "He is god" or trying to kill him outright and Lord X found BF amusing because out of all the games he tried to play with him he always came up on top and despite him being in control he never once regret each of his encounters with BF even if it were constant defeats. But now that the vessel he controls is nearing its end the only thing that is left to say goodbye and he wants BF to know that there were no hard feelings and that he will always be around. Also the best part of this in my opinion is that BF is probably one of the few people that Lord X has come to respect and appreciate because he could've chosen his last moments doing what he did best but instead he went to the one person who he could not outplay. Plus I feel BF is probably the only person that seen Lord X at his most vulnerable because the song itself feels him having a heart to heart with him. Still awesome job with this reskin.
