Really nice touch showing Thatcher's training and experience, while Mark shows him just firing all of his shots without any knowledge or experience How the hell he missed his shots? The fact that thatcher disobeyed the Mandela county law of not responding to any alternate encounters just to do the right thing is awesome in my opinion, even though this didn’t happen in the series.

4:51 this part actually caught me off guard, because in the mandela catalogue the police were never supposed to interfere and help the callers in any way if dealing with an alternate encounter, but thatcher didn't listen and single handedly barged into mark's house to help him. 💪

For starters, the alternate hitting those high notes at 1:40 made me get MISTY, and then came the sudden drop at 2:00, making you feel like something was approaching...(a much better approach than Gabriel showing up out of nowhere imo) And at 2:09, we find out what *was.* Seeing Gabriel and the alternate briefly 2v1 Mark to further demoralize him was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! And then Gabriel's poem at 3:10 sealed my "rocking in absolute amazement" mood, the line "Nobody is coming for you, I HAVE WON." Going especially hard. And then Ceaser's appearance at 4:07, making me feel like Mark wasn't being tricked, but rather just feeling sad that this would be the last time he heard his voice. And then OUT OF NOWHERE, *THATCHER* SHOWS UP?! SHOOTING ALONGSIDE A RELOADED MARK?! THE LINE "THIS IS THE END, MARK." This time, both thatcher and mark were still aiming at the alternate during their last shots. Also, the alternate Cesar was shown being identified as a suspect. And that screen was shown not long before thatcher jumped through the window. Logically, that should mean thatcher was the one to identify alternate Cesar as the suspect. And thatcher seemed to have came alone. If he died, then alt Cesar wouldn’t have been identified as a suspect. Because the only people to see the suspect would be dead.

GOD, I LOVE THE DETAIL IN THIS. Especially 4:12 where Cesar sounds completely different at the beginning, showing that he's not the real Cesar and an alternate, and Mark's chromatic distorts somewhat, revealing how distraught he must be, knowing that the real Cesar is gone forever.

This remix is one of the best and most atmospheric I've ever heard! you can really feel the sense of desperation listening to the music breaking and the voices that seem to be trying to control mark or trying to manipulate him, you did a great job here!
I really like the idea of the concept of this, Alternates basically fill people with such overwhelming fear that they off themselves to escape, least that's how I interpret it, and that fear STICKS, which is why no cops ever come to help, which just makes the fact Thatcher shows up all the more badass. And makes it even more badass when Mark fights along side him instead of running away behind him.

It was super intense and suspended throughout.. Mark realizing a lot with Gabriel.. The depression and grief felt with the ceaser part… and the feelings and realizations that Mark wasn’t alone at all when Thatcher came up.. Masterpiece!!!
This seriously blows your original Encounter Remix out of the water. I don't even know how to put how much I love this remix into words. Well done, Zac, well done. Not many things leave me as speechless as this. Edit: Okay, now I have more time to go into more depth and think about stuff. Here are basically all the reasons I love this song: - it sounds so amazing oh my god - I'm pretty sure the voiceline at the beginning is from the actual MC series. If not, then it's very good writing from Zac anyway. I remember in the original teaser for this song, the voiceline wasn't cut off, and Mark's "chk-chk" gun sound was right afterwards. At first, I didn't really like the change, but now that I've listened to it more, I think I like the new version a lot better. - The video editing on the "if one manages to follow you home" line and the "let me in" lines were really cool in general. - In the original remix, the Alternate kinda just shows up. In this Z-Mixed version, it BURSTS THROUGH THE DOOR while taunting Mark in Cesar's voice. So dang cool. - The tempo slows to halftime during the first "nothing is worth the risk" part, which is just a nice touch. It didn't do that in the original version. - Mark only pulls out his gun after that halftime part, and the gun priming sound while the instrumental drops out is a cool add-on. Also, he has one more bullet than the original. - The screen still becomes grayscale during the part where most of the instruments cut out, but the percussion and beat sound much better here. - Gabriel/Lucifer appears with a new voiceline this time and teams up with the Alternate for a brief moment. - The art changing to Mark holding his head after the beat drop and the "nothing is worth the risk" text coming from both sides of the screen is a nice detail. - Gabriel no longer says "wake up, joseph." He only says "wake up, mark," and he only says a "wake up" line once. Cool detail that puts more emphasis on Mark in my opinion. - In the original, during the main Gabriel part, the background (excluding the doorframe) disappears. In this Z-Mixed version, the background becomes grayscale, and only the Alternate disappears. Mark remains fully colored, which puts more emphasis on how he's one guy against a world of evil. Or something. - gabriel rap omg (but seriously, the lyrics are really cool and the "you are nothing but a sheep" line is probably a reference to the shepherds and the sheep being feeble animals without their leaders) - Mark is a lot more up-front aggressive in this version, shooting a whopping four bullets closely followed by another three. In the original timeline image, it says that this timeline is the one where "Adam and Jonah manage to call 911," so I think the faster shots signify Mark being more confident because he knows help is on the way. - Mark's latter three shots interrupt the Alternate trying to do his "nothing is worth the risk" thing. It was kinda funny the first time I saw it, but I think it's supposed to represent Mark trying to stop the Alternate from messing with his head. - The transition to the fake Cesar is very smooth and sounds really cool. Instead of the instruments dropping out immediately like in the original, this version allows them to rise to a crescendo of sorts, then cut out with an added key change to increase tension. - The original "victim" images from Think and the MC series are here, too, but Cesar's image has an evil smile, and his caption says "suspect identified" instead. Cool detail that I think is supposed to signify Mark's altered mindset here compared to the original. In the original remix, during the second Cesar part, Mark looked really sad and broken, but in this version, he looks more determined. I think in the original, he was briefly fooled by the Alternate's facade, which threw him into a rage in the next part of the song. (His face in the last part of the original remix says it all.) However, in this version, I like to believe that Mark never thinks that the fake Cesar is really him; instead, he's silently lamenting that this is the closest he'll ever get to seeing him again and vowing to take revenge. Or something like that. - I've heard that there's an Other Side reference in Cesar's part, but I personally can't hear it. Maybe I just haven't listened to Other Side enough or something. I'm pretty sure, though, that there's also a False Identity reference from only Cesar starting at 4:32. - Cesar's face and overall features disappear and fade into the Alternate's face. Yet another cool detail that possibly supports my theory about Mark not being fooled. Or maybe it's the Alternate closing in for the kill. - The subtle police sirens and red-and-blue light during the lead-up to Thatcher's part just make it so dang epic. - Thatcher's arrival was totally different from what I was expecting. I thought he was gonna just walk inside from the doorway, but nope, he SMASHES THE WINDOW and leaps in with his pistol drawn. Now that's what I call a dramatic entrance. - Again, I'm pretty sure Thatcher's voicelines ("stop or I'll shoot!" and "I said stay back!" later in the song) are from the original MC series. If they're not, they're still really good voice acting. - Thatcher holds his pistol with two hands, while Mark holds his with one. I think this might be to signify Thatcher's heightened experience with firearms because of how holding a pistol with both hands reduces recoil. Also, Thatcher brings six bullets instead of Mark's eight, which doesn't really add much or detract much, but it's just something I noticed. - Thatcher's shirt/jacket/sweater/whatever says "MCPD" on the back, presumably standing for "Mandela County Police Department." Yet another cool detail. - Mark's appearance is fully animated instead of just having him pop in. His arrival mid-turn might signify how watching Thatcher fight the Alternate gave him the courage to hold out a little longer. - Once again, Thatcher's initial gunshots interrupt the Alternate's lines, likely for the same reason as before. - "This is the end, Mark." GOD, IT SOUNDS SO COOL. I think Zac's gotten better at adding voicelines mid-turn in more unique ways since Real Sleep Z-Mixed. In Real Sleep, there's "You will succumb," in Thonk Z-Mixed, there's "yeee" and "hahaha what the hell?", and here, there's that voiceline. Really pushes the badass tension levels even higher. - Thatcher's "I said stay back!" line is interrupted by both the gunshot and the Alternate. I haven't watched most of the original MC series, but maybe this interruption happens there too? (Not with the singing, though; just the gunshot.) - Mark's "1 shot left" flashes white on the inside and black on the outside. Thatcher's counterpart flashes white on the outside instead, with yellow on the inside. I don't know if this was an intended detail, but it's cool. - Again, I haven't watched the original MC series all the way through, but the images flashing during the last section are quite obviously various references. The M.A.D. one has the letters appear in sync with the vocals, too, instead of just the whole image appearing all at once like the others. - Of course, Mark says the funny line. 10/10. - And finally, the "0 shots left" at the end look like eyes, which might be an intended creepy detail. - Also, you know, there's the hidden youtube URL at the end (i think it's a url idk for sure) and the mod? I think? I don't know if Mandela Multiverse is a mod, per se, 'cause it might just be the name of Zac's timeline, but either way, I'm hyped to see what comes next. Hopefully Gift Z-Mixed? (or Miller Z-Mixed, but that's not part of the timeline) tl;dr: Absolutely amazing song with loads of details that spice up the experience. Once again, you did an amazing job, Zac. I'll have this on loop for months while I wait for the next installment in this crazy-cool series.

Something I love about the Cesar part is that Mark's vocals being off-key makes it sound like he's about to start crying at the sight of his friend being nothing more than a tool to trick him. Gotta love those details👍

This remix is one of the best and most atmospheric I've ever heard! you can really feel the sense of desperation listening to the music breaking and the voices that seem to be trying to control mark or trying to manipulate him, you did a great job here!

I really like the idea of the concept of this, Alternates basically fill people with such overwhelming fear that they off themselves to escape, least that's how I interpret it, and that fear STICKS, which is why no cops ever come to help, which just makes the fact Thatcher shows up all the more badass.
And makes it even more badass when Mark fights along side him instead of running away behind him.

It was super intense and suspended throughout.. Mark realizing a lot with Gabriel.. The depression and grief felt with the ceaser part… and the feelings and realizations that Mark wasn’t alone at all when Thatcher came up.. Masterpiece!!!
This seriously blows your original Encounter Remix out of the water. I don't even know how to put how much I love this remix into words. Well done, Zac, well done. Not many things leave me as speechless as this.
Edit: Okay, now I have more time to go into more depth and think about stuff. Here are basically all the reasons I love this song:
- it sounds so amazing oh my god
- I'm pretty sure the voiceline at the beginning is from the actual MC series. If not, then it's very good writing from Zac anyway. I remember in the original teaser for this song, the voiceline wasn't cut off, and Mark's "chk-chk" gun sound was right afterwards. At first, I didn't really like the change, but now that I've listened to it more, I think I like the new version a lot better.
- The video editing on the "if one manages to follow you home" line and the "let me in" lines were really cool in general.
- In the original remix, the Alternate kinda just shows up. In this Z-Mixed version, it BURSTS THROUGH THE DOOR while taunting Mark in Cesar's voice. So dang cool.
- The tempo slows to halftime during the first "nothing is worth the risk" part, which is just a nice touch. It didn't do that in the original version.
- Mark only pulls out his gun after that halftime part, and the gun priming sound while the instrumental drops out is a cool add-on. Also, he has one more bullet than the original.
- The screen still becomes grayscale during the part where most of the instruments cut out, but the percussion and beat sound much better here.
- Gabriel/Lucifer appears with a new voiceline this time and teams up with the Alternate for a brief moment.
- The art changing to Mark holding his head after the beat drop and the "nothing is worth the risk" text coming from both sides of the screen is a nice detail.
- Gabriel no longer says "wake up, joseph." He only says "wake up, mark," and he only says a "wake up" line once. Cool detail that puts more emphasis on Mark in my opinion.
- In the original, during the main Gabriel part, the background (excluding the doorframe) disappears. In this Z-Mixed version, the background becomes grayscale, and only the Alternate disappears. Mark remains fully colored, which puts more emphasis on how he's one guy against a world of evil. Or something.
- gabriel rap omg (but seriously, the lyrics are really cool and the "you are nothing but a sheep" line is probably a reference to the shepherds and the sheep being feeble animals without their leaders)
- Mark is a lot more up-front aggressive in this version, shooting a whopping four bullets closely followed by another three. In the original timeline image, it says that this timeline is the one where "Adam and Jonah manage to call 911," so I think the faster shots signify Mark being more confident because he knows help is on the way.
- Mark's latter three shots interrupt the Alternate trying to do his "nothing is worth the risk" thing. It was kinda funny the first time I saw it, but I think it's supposed to represent Mark trying to stop the Alternate from messing with his head.
- The transition to the fake Cesar is very smooth and sounds really cool. Instead of the instruments dropping out immediately like in the original, this version allows them to rise to a crescendo of sorts, then cut out with an added key change to increase tension.
- The original "victim" images from Think and the MC series are here, too, but Cesar's image has an evil smile, and his caption says "suspect identified" instead. Cool detail that I think is supposed to signify Mark's altered mindset here compared to the original. In the original remix, during the second Cesar part, Mark looked really sad and broken, but in this version, he looks more determined. I think in the original, he was briefly fooled by the Alternate's facade, which threw him into a rage in the next part of the song. (His face in the last part of the original remix says it all.) However, in this version, I like to believe that Mark never thinks that the fake Cesar is really him; instead, he's silently lamenting that this is the closest he'll ever get to seeing him again and vowing to take revenge. Or something like that.
- I've heard that there's an Other Side reference in Cesar's part, but I personally can't hear it. Maybe I just haven't listened to Other Side enough or something. I'm pretty sure, though, that there's also a False Identity reference from only Cesar starting at 4:32.
- Cesar's face and overall features disappear and fade into the Alternate's face. Yet another cool detail that possibly supports my theory about Mark not being fooled. Or maybe it's the Alternate closing in for the kill.
- The subtle police sirens and red-and-blue light during the lead-up to Thatcher's part just make it so dang epic.
- Thatcher's arrival was totally different from what I was expecting. I thought he was gonna just walk inside from the doorway, but nope, he SMASHES THE WINDOW and leaps in with his pistol drawn. Now that's what I call a dramatic entrance.
- Again, I'm pretty sure Thatcher's voicelines ("stop or I'll shoot!" and "I said stay back!" later in the song) are from the original MC series. If they're not, they're still really good voice acting.
- Thatcher holds his pistol with two hands, while Mark holds his with one. I think this might be to signify Thatcher's heightened experience with firearms because of how holding a pistol with both hands reduces recoil. Also, Thatcher brings six bullets instead of Mark's eight, which doesn't really add much or detract much, but it's just something I noticed.
- Thatcher's shirt/jacket/sweater/whatever says "MCPD" on the back, presumably standing for "Mandela County Police Department." Yet another cool detail.
- Mark's appearance is fully animated instead of just having him pop in. His arrival mid-turn might signify how watching Thatcher fight the Alternate gave him the courage to hold out a little longer.
- Once again, Thatcher's initial gunshots interrupt the Alternate's lines, likely for the same reason as before.
- "This is the end, Mark." GOD, IT SOUNDS SO COOL. I think Zac's gotten better at adding voicelines mid-turn in more unique ways since Real Sleep Z-Mixed. In Real Sleep, there's "You will succumb," in Thonk Z-Mixed, there's "yeee" and "hahaha what the hell?", and here, there's that voiceline. Really pushes the badass tension levels even higher.
- Thatcher's "I said stay back!" line is interrupted by both the gunshot and the Alternate. I haven't watched most of the original MC series, but maybe this interruption happens there too? (Not with the singing, though; just the gunshot.)
- Mark's "1 shot left" flashes white on the inside and black on the outside. Thatcher's counterpart flashes white on the outside instead, with yellow on the inside. I don't know if this was an intended detail, but it's cool.
- Again, I haven't watched the original MC series all the way through, but the images flashing during the last section are quite obviously various references. The M.A.D. one has the letters appear in sync with the vocals, too, instead of just the whole image appearing all at once like the others.
- Of course, Mark says the funny line. 10/10.
- And finally, the "0 shots left" at the end look like eyes, which might be an intended creepy detail.
- Also, you know, there's the hidden youtube URL at the end (i think it's a url idk for sure) and the mod? I think? I don't know if Mandela Multiverse is a mod, per se, 'cause it might just be the name of Zac's timeline, but either way, I'm hyped to see what comes next. Hopefully Gift Z-Mixed? (or Miller Z-Mixed, but that's not part of the timeline)
tl;dr: Absolutely amazing song with loads of details that spice up the experience. Once again, you did an amazing job, Zac. I'll have this on loop for months while I wait for the next installment in this crazy-cool series.
