      @@Newrecordday2013 Hey Ron , I am Ran from Israel , for small room around 12 square meter would you recommend ELAC 2.0 UB52 or the Klipsch RP-600M II ? My amp is ADCOM GFA 555 MK2

    • @kohnfutner9637
      @kohnfutner9637 3 месяца назад

      @@RanTausiI have the first versions of each speaker you mentioned. Get both and put one in front one in back and see what you like better if you want to.
      I think the Klipsch has better treble and bass and the elac better overall. Klipsch more dynamic, elac more neutral and laid back. The elac I think are easier to listen to for a long time. But if you balance the Klipsch with room correction, I expect slightly recessed mids but good near field. I think the elac might work better if you sit away 12 feet. More than 12 feet room size, I would look at towers personally, or larger bookshelf with 3 way. The Klipsch worked ok I'm my 15 foot room but I wanted the towers. Klipsch are the best home theater imo, and good with music, especially jazz style and brass instruments, big band; elac less exciting but never a bother, doesn't really wow Factor with movies imo.
      My original statement, get both and move one to front one to rear. Play with Denon receiver and see what you prefer and then use the one you prefer in front and the ones you like less in back. You can run audyssey and it will sum and optimize the sound. I do this with my JBL in front and elac in back. My Klipsch system is Klipsch all the way around.
      I think the elac are better build and if I'm getting one I'll get the elac. But if I'm mostly movies, I would make Klipsch theater. Don't get me wrong, Klipsch are ok with music but I don't prefer it in long listening sessions, plus the mid range is noticable recessed. The elac is more trustworthy with your music- more natural and true to the source but not very passionate about performing, just accurate, Klipsch is very lively. JBL is a nice mix of lively and accurate but more concert leaning with good bass and is tower.

      I suspect these can make you feel this way. Of course many can, but I would say not many at $600. The maggie LRS can probally do the same for another $50 but the selection of source equipment is so much more harder or specialized. And even greater room issues to contend with.

    I’ve had these for a month and even compared to my original UniFi UB5s these have just delighted. Very taught, punchy bass, better highs, I’m a bit shocked that you can get this quality for $600. The use case for these is not out in the middle of the room. I hear the box. Good mic position. What part of the frequency spectrum are you missing in your hearing? I need to know so I can judge your perspective. I'm missing 16KHz to just about 17K or so I have been told. Then I hear on up to 21KHz. Noise in a room is a conversation killer for me and I can't understand people in a crowd or if an area has too much echo unless they speak up. I have been tested by three separate doctors over about 16 years. So I can confidently say that while I miss some words from speech in a busy room, I can hear all of the mistakes engineers make on recordings except at 16K. Honestly I just don't think people can hear the literal stuff left behind in a recording. Sampled music especially can emit the same mistake over and over like a bad loop and yet I hear it on recordings of every genera.
    Thanks for the video. This is the only video on RUclips in which I can stand to listen to these speakers being recorded. They are painful to hear in every other video I have subjected myself to.
    Peace to us all. Have a great new year.

    Ron, how long did you break these in before you recorded this demo? Asking because I'm on day three of these, and the bottom end is nowhere near this deep. Seriously considered returning them out of the box, they were such a disappointment coming from the Debut B6's. This a week, two weeks? Using a Denon 125 watt (at 6 ohm) AV receiver, so I think that should be enough to drive these adequately. Not expecting the warmth from the B6's, but these sound really thin to me by comparison. Your demo sounds TONS better. So can you provide the break in period these went through prior to this demo? Thanks.

    Hi Ron, thanks for the very interesting video! Listening the audio seem that they sound amazing! May I ask you What do you think about these speakers with respect to the B&W 606 Anniversary Edition?
    Moreover I see that in your setup you do not have a subwoofer, however as you say the basses are there. Do you think a subwoofer would help much in the setup? Or the three way speakers already offer very good basses? Many thanks for any feedback or suggestion you can give :)

      @efrainl 3 года назад +1

      From what I've read in this and other reviews, bass output is plenty enough for acoustic music played at (realistically) loud levels but may be a bit "lacking" in punch for very loud electronic & rock music, or the sub-bass tracks in movies. In that case get the UF52 floorstanders and/or add a good sub(s).

    Scary amount of bass in these and that without reinforce from the wall!
    I though the subwoofers were on.. But I guess that Sensitivity of 85 dB AND rather large cabinet helps.

      Cabinets aren't large at all and Ron's sound always comes across with exaggerated bass.......good sound but exaggerated bass.

    I didn’t like the kef 50 meta sound (also soundclips) but these I like! Thank you for your good work! Elsewhere they say you should break in the speakers for four days…is that true? Otherwise they will not sound good….

    Hey Ron, can you give us a bit more Information on the Amp used? As far as know Purifi only sells the "Eigentakt" Modules that you can than use to build your own Amp. Is it something you build yourself? Or is it something secret maybe? :)

      Check out VTV, he sells fully assembled stereo and mono purifi amps. I've had them all and purifi sounds better than ICE, Hypex NCORE and Pascal amps. All the VTV purifi use the eigentakt it's the only purifi module right now

    Do These need breaking in? If so apox. How long? The Audio Guy said 3 or 4 days, some say yes, some say nothing about it, maybe they are unaware. Your thoughts please 😁🤘 They sound incredible, clarity soundstage imaging neutral and details, bass as well. And such a small speaker, WOW FACTOR, this review is one of the best I've seen and heard. Great review incredible gem. ❤️🤘😁

    How do you rate this speaker to Ubr62? I have also heard the channel separation and warmth of this speaker. As per your video this speaker is amazing. Now eagerly waiting your comparision with UBR62.

    You mentioned crossing the streams of these speakers. Wouldn't it make sense to place the mics where the speaker streams are crossing ? If you could remove your ears from your head on cords, would you place your ears where the mics are ?

    The Elac Unifi 2.0 sounded so much different from the Kef LS50 Meta in your sound clips. The Kef's sounded very exaggerated in many ways, as compared to actual live concerts that I go to , in my opinion.

    Hi, I really enjoy your review and sound demo, thank you for the effort I know it's a lot of hard work.
    Where I live, it's not easy to get speakers demo .. I ask you this questions because I trust your sound taste.. if Elac Unifi 2, Debut Reference 6.2 and B&W 607 S2 are all same price (it is almost same here where I live) which is the one you will buy for yourself.
    This and keep up the good work. I hope u will answer my question cheers!

    These sound great. I can hear the pureness through my headphone. I have my finger on the purchase trigger for 530 at Amazon. I just bought the Sony Towers for 198. The Sony's are to me to cranked up in the highs. I will also need stands. Ahhh,what do I do? Who wants to buy my Sony's. Ron how do these compare with the Q 3030i s.

    I think it would be cool if we didn't know what speaker it was and just listened and decide how much we like it or not.
    Maybe the video header could be $600 bookshelf, the amount they cost.

    Heh. Also noticed you've the left and right channels swapped in the video. The "clapping" in the song 'I Can Still Dance' is on the left channel here, where it's on the right channel with headphones and my own pair of UB52;s. Sounds good tho. The DAC helps, no doubt. I don't have one, as I use the network functionality of my Denon AV receiver to serve my iTunes (mostly ALAC) Library through the receiver and an Apple TV 4th gen.

    Would be cool if they did a UF62. Debut 2.0 has 5.25" and 6.5" versions after all. A Uni-Fi tower with extension into the mid/low 30hz-es and the Debut Reference finish options would have me mailing my wallet with a bow on it to Andrew Jones. Prime Pinnacle's use case is really appealing (fairly affordable slim tower that digs cleanly to 30hz for a nearly full-range 2-channel system without subs), but the overall sound signature wasn't my cup of tea. Awesome if Elac put something in that niche.
