Huge thanks again for all your help. Was an absolute pleasure again to go through the fitting process with you and can’t wait to get the new sticks in my hands now! 👍
@@the_left_rough I ended up with the Nippon NS Pro Modus3 Tour 105 X iron shafts. Simon was great again for that process and the video for the iron fitting is here ruclips.net/video/vWsYfOSr5EM/видео.html 👍
@@GolfingFocus I have similar delivery numbers so was curious to see how you would fare with modus 120 x. Must try the 105x myself. Any idea if the modus 120 you tried at the start was S or X?
I love watching golf club fittings. Simon has such a high level of knowledge and artistry that he uses in each of his club fittings. He has ruined me for watching any other RUclips golf channels. 😂
Sitting through a fitting with Simon is like sitting through a class to get your Masters degree in clubfitting. So much information packed into this video.
You always give your customers top tier club fittings Simon but for me i think this is you best one yet. Great video Simon love the in depth detail you go into. I've watched ALOT of club fittings (i think i might have an actual mental issue 😂) and you spot thinks that other fitters just don't see or explain. In my opinion best fitter by a mile on RUclips 👏🏾👏🏾 Are you personally still doing fittings as i looked on your website but couldn't see you as an option to choose from when it came to selecting a fitter.
Thank you Stephen, very kind of you indeed. I am still doing fittings but my diary is not bookable online so just email me directly for anything you want to look at
Some great information in these videos. The right weight and balance is definitely true from my testing in terms of committing to a hit and not backing off a hit. Interestingly enough from testing iron shafts the Project LZ 5.5 115g gives the confidence to commit to the hit regardless of flex designation. I’m not getting the same confidence of hit with my driver shaft though, Diamana GT 60S as I feel I’ve to back off it compared to the irons. Based on some of the information in this video, I think I may need to try a slightly stiffer tip than the Diamana GT which I think is a bit more responsive in order to get that confidence to commit to the strike with the driver like the irons. TR Red 6S at 68g and 1k Black 65S at 68g both were too heavy for me in terms of effort so something no heavier than 65g I must try find
I think it is more likely to be needing a slightly heavier tip to the shaft rather than the tip not being stiff enough. I would recommend something like the VA Synystr 65 Stiff or Accra TZ Five 60 M4
Great video, fascinated me this one as I have very similar clubhead & ball speed. Just wondering Simon, in the absence of a swing weight scale is there a diy hack that can get me somewhere close ?
Sadly not as not even the best can reliable and accurately guess swingweight with all the variables of dead weight, length and balance point. If dead weights are similar then all you can do is trial and error of head weights to dial in strike consistency by adding and taking off lead tape in the “old school” way!!
That is correct (pre sales tax). No guarantee of the same numbers but the closest stock shaft would be the Tensei 1k Black 65 Stiff but this does swing a little heavier
Interesting re angle of attack and tee height. I worked out some basic maths ( trigonometry) to show ( probably wrongly) that a driver sweetspot from 10cm behind the ball only has to lift 1.5 dimples up to get an attack angle of + 3 degrees Tan 3deg x100(mm) = 5.2 mm . 1x dimple = 3.5mm 5.2/3.5 = 1.48 If this is correct then high tee isn’t really a big deal for a 3 deg up contact. But I’m simplifying it to a vertical axis and my 65 yr old brain usually is wrong !!
Tee height is relevant to where your low point is and how high above the ground your club head is at impact. It can also help a player to visualise what they need to do to create particular impact dynamics so whilst you are absolutely correct the addition of a human into the mix makes it less black&white!
Would love to hear Simon's view on this too! 😂Interestingly when we were testing Fairway Woods after this he mentioned the Cobra ones I ended up choosing had a new model coming out in Oct /Nov. However because you never know how exactly the new model will come out and play even from the same manufacturer his view was that if the numbers are good with the current one you should go with that. Don't want to put words in his mouth about the GT but would assume he would say the same to me on that one?

OMG! I didn't realize that was YOU! Now I finally have a face to go with the voice when I'm watching your videos!
What iron shafts were you fit into? Is there a video for that too?

So many nuggets of information in this one, well worth the watch.
Solid setting as well, great balance.

@@Precision_Golf Thanks Simon.
I've sent you an email to see what available dates you have.
The discussion about club dynamics throughout the fitting was 🔥

Brilliant 👍

Tsr and graphite design shaft would that be a $800 setup? if so, what would be a stock shaft that would produce those same numbers

Should wait for a GT? 🫣
