The explanation is easy to understand. Good work. Why when you quote, present tense is used not past tense..?

Hi ghost buster. For abstract ideas such as arguments, theories or concepts, the present tense is generally used. For concrete findings or conclusions, such as the results of a study or experiment, the past tense is generally used.
