The Frankie and Cleo episode was so CUTE each time they are on screen together I get excited and when I heard Skelly's voice I immediately knew she was voiced by a drag queen person.
Yea and it started with I adore your brain and she blushed and that part was so cute, I can't wait to see how this turns out.

I'll be honest. I was a bit shocked. I react differently than others, I wasn't freaking out. In g1 Frankie and Cleo did get off on the wrong foot but over time they became good friends. G2 they became immediate friends, which was okay. Seeing them developing romantic feelings was strange because like older fans she and Deuce were an iconic couple. But now that I think about it. This is not the monster high I grew up in. This is a parallel universe where things work differently so I don't let it get to Me. It is a bit adorable. Although I do think that g3 Cleo could have still started as self-entitled and bossy because she wants to step out of Nefera's shadow but grew to be more compassionate towards her friends yet still keeping her sassy, dramatic, attention-seeking personality but is still a great leader like in g1. You know, character development. But this is alright
this show is such a safe space for me,i don’t have to worry about homophonic /transphobic,racist,abliest jokes or ideas like most shows atleast have some,it’s amazing

Cleo x Frankie is the ship we didn’t know we needed
First of all; the moment I heard Skelly's voice, I almost mistook her for RuPaul. But when I found out it was Trixie Mattel voicing her, I thought "that's even better!" Seriously, I love what they did with the character here; especially with how she helped Ghoulia.
Second of all; when I first started watching this series, I wasn't originally a Cleo and Frankie shipper. Mainly for the fact because I wasn't sure on what kind of partner Frankie desired and I thought Cleo and Deuce were still a thing.
But after watching Horrorscare, I happily consider myself a fan of the ship and have dubbed them my OTP
i am tearing up over these episodes, mattel/nickelodeon choosing NOW of all times to have a drag queen character voiced BY A DRAG QUEEN is so effing cool, like this just really makes my heart warm. ESPECIALLY in the way they show how drag queens can be inspirational to all, like ughhh i'm gonna ugly cry 😭
I hope that MH includes Ace/Aro representation as well. 💜🖤💚✨️

Flaunt your skeleton is my fav episode so far I love finally getting an episode where we see Lagoona and Ghoulia's bestie status actually being shown, the subject matter is relatable to literally everyone, the brains things was hilarious as we see all the times and ways ghoulia breaks down and says brains. And skelly is such a moment turned out to be such a cool character, and the "does that girl ever say goodbye" got me. I hope we do get a skelly doll. I also love that some episodes are finally breaking away from seeing all of the core 3 in an episode
We see a lot of Dragon's in the show so maybe we might get Genifire in the future
The best thing about this generation is that the representation is clear and they do not give hints, and I love that
Getting a drag queen character in a time where drag Queens are extremely targeted by the US government is so amazing. And it's always so so great to see positive LGBTQ+ rep, where it isn't seen as abnormal or different, but just as a part of who we are. I am so happy with this new generation and I'm a hard-core MH Stan since I was 6. But to me this is exactly how the new gen should've looked like. And I understand why some people may be upset with cleo & deuce not being a couple here, but to me they have 0 chemistry this gen and I love the idea of Frankie and Cleo together.

OK, I'm not really sure if this is legit It's just a theory, but I think Frankie and Cleo being a couple in G3 was done so that Deuce can be paired up with someone else (Clawdeen). In the movie, Deuce and Clawdeen had some sweet moments, so maybe they're eventually gonna build up to it in the show? We know that G1 Clawdeen is a lesbian, according to creator Garret Sanders, but who knows about G3 Clawdeen? Maybe she's Bi, or even straight?
Tbh I'm kinda hoping they introduce a mlm ship for deuce but I honestly wouldn't really mind Clawdeen x Deuce! It does sound possible and you are definitely right, they do have sweet moments! Just can't help but hope for Deuce x one of the male characters but either way I'll definitely be happy with whatever we get!

Fridays episodes were very good and felt like the og vibe a bit more.
Those cookies/cakes look like Taiyaki, it's a japanese sorta pancake thing with a filling, sometimes red bean paste.
I grew up with G1 and I hated the Cleo x Duece ship. I'm happy that Cleo found her REAL true love Frankie! ❤🏳🌈

Edit: after watching clawdeena’s video about this episode, I would like to come back and apologize for not doing my research on Trixie before commenting; as she is biracial herself (half Native American, half white.) as someone who is half white and half Hispanic, it was hypocritical of me to just assume that she was only white based off of how she presents, and for that, I am sorry. However, my point about how gen 3 handled clawdeen’s identity as a half human half werewolf in the first episode still stands, as I do still find it to be an issue a lot of people are overlooking. Please keep in mind the information about trixie’s identity if you consider reading this comment; as I would like to avoid spreading misinformation, but also take accountability for my mistake.

Personally, I feel gen 1 was still superior to representing more ethnicities. As someone who was born half white and half hispanic, the first episode of the ghouls testing clawdeen to see how much of a werewolf she was. This whole plot line rubbed me the wrong way due to the fact a lot of biracial people and multiethnic people feel pressure to prove they are enough..I’m reminded of this every time I think about g3 clawdeen, and it turns me off the series completely.
On to the topic of the skeleton drag queen; I just wanna say first off, I LOVE the enculsion, but I think people are overlooking the whitewashing going on. Our first skeleton character from g1 was skullita, a character to represent Mexico. I have nothing against them working with Trixie, but I do have an issue with them missing a good opportunity to show off more queer POC representation. The fact they just opted out for white queerness while using a character that could easily be voiced by a Mexican drag queen just frustrates me, personally, on top of the whole anti-biracial undertones

In my opinion Og monster high is the real canon and this series is more of a reboot spin-off like the 2003 Teen titans and teen titans go. Because I grew up with og MH I can’t imagine seeing Frankie and Cleo together. And even seeing clips of the episode they come off as best friends being best friends. Idk lol
I hope with the Skelly character they’re not appropriating Mexican culture and claiming it as their own because that does not seem right.

I’m so confused, they wouldn’t let Clawdeen be gay but they gave Frankie yet another love interest even though they can’t really be gay or straight if they aren’t on the binary. Being a queer woman myself, I wish G3 would get over themselves. The existing diverse characters’ identities weren’t negated just ‘cause the new G3 team members didn’t personally find them attractive. Again, I’m horrified just imagining what they’ll do if they really are bringing back Valentine.
Skelly, on the other hand, is perfect! Why not just make more cool new characters like that? I hope they will make a Skelly doll, probably a collector’s item since I don’t know why Mattel thinks the Karens they’re so determined to please want anything to do with the LGBTQ+ community.

Honestly, I wouldn't like that couple to come together. I feel it's very forced, perhaps because I don't like yuri, I'm more of a boy x boy, but I doubt that this last one will happen. Also, I would not like a children's program to show those things, there is an appropriate age for it and it is not childhood. I hope no one is offended.

As for Valentine and Spelldon, although it has not been verified if they are an official couple, and if they are, I repeat, it is not a good idea to include them in a children's program. But...they're teenagers. Teenagers have relationships. And it's not like they're doing anything sexual. So, why shouldn't it be in a kids program? It is the exact same as any straight couple in the show. No kid is going to assume sex. They're just holding hands and having crushes.
