- In this video i'll be walking you through how i shaped, balanced and sealed this wooden lure.
This is a lure i'm very proud of because it's a design i came up with myself and it's one of the best lures i've ever fished with, especially in these colder months.
It's unfortunate that i can't use this exact one because i made it as a Christmas Present. However, i'll be making way more of these in the future to use myself but also to give away.

When using a glove to spread the super glue, I cut the fingers off the glove and use one at a time on my index finger. That way I get 5 or ten uses out of one glove.
Looks like it's going to be a really good lure. I'll be sure to watch part 2.

I don't make templates. You can screenshot somewhere in the video, lay some paper on your phone screen and draw the outlines.

What wire do you use? Is it some what special for lures?
Thanks! I use 1 mm thick stainless steel wire. They sell it as "tying wire" for building fences but any stainless steel wire will do as long as it's supple. (No spring wire)
For small lures: 0.8 mm
Medium size lures: 1mm
Large size lures: 1.2 mm or thicker.
