Making An Easy Two Piece Fishing Lure! (Part1/2)

To use fewer gloves and to keep my hand from sweating so much, I cut the finger off of the glove and use them one at a time. Love the BIG eyes! You might want to do a swim test before painting. I'm not sure what type of action you'll get with the line tie being so high up on the head. It's a good location for a lipless crankbait style lure, but this seems more of a swimbait style which has the tie-on closer to the center-line of the bait. Looking forward to next Friday!

I've tried that before but i always manage to get my hand covered in glue, so i keep my gloves whole again 😁
You're right, the line tie is pretty far up there. Reason being that i like to make my lures a little different than the usual. By changing things like position of the line tie, placement of lead, shape of the lure,... you get unique lures that move different in the water than any other "normal" lure. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
If the action turns out to be bad, i can drill a new line tie in the usual spot and will have gained some more knowledge for the next lures.
The eyes are really cheap straight from china, you can try them yourself!
