@@BejanHandmadeLures yes we have beautiful rivers Bosna, Una, Vrbas, Drina and many lakes. I have one more question for you. Can you please tell me, witch colors you usually use for your lures? I know that white and black are the colors that are usually used.

@@BejanHandmadeLuresis wood much better than plastic and what is the difference? Do you also catch a lot of predatory fish with it, I am curious whether it makes much difference whether you use wood or plastic?
Depends what kind of lur you want to make. I recommend to read some luremaking tutorian. This are the basics,mate. Please do some research because it's a vast subject and I can't explain you in comment.

I love carving. I mean I love it but don't think I'd ever swap out my perfectly repeatable router table for my knife.
If I make something that works perfectly I want all things to be exactly repeatable. Maybe just me.

3 minutes in and I can’t get past you pulling that utility blade right toward your thumb.
It safer than a band saw. This one moves the blade up and down with high frequence. 😉
Great work !!! I got the Devcon 30 min after watching your videos. I need some advice please. My first attempt after mixing for over a minute, it turned creamy white, not transparent, i kept on mixing but didn't turn transparent. Second attempt i mixed less but working time was nowhere near 30 min, i had to apply very quickly. Any tips?
22C would be the optim temp of the room.when you use devcon. At this temp you'll have around 10 mins working time with devcon with no problems.Usually becomes white when in the room is high humidity. Try mixing itnslower and try to make no more than one lure onece until you understand how it works.

I'd suggest getting a morakniv carving knife. You would have more control. Thanks for the vid.

Once the carve is done you deep the lure in a white compound to seel proupose, which kind of product is that? Thanks so much!
There are some plastic granules melted in acetone+ white pigment. Don't know the technical name of that plastic. Cheers Luca!

I buy the screw eyes. There are several sizes. They are strong enaugh,you don't have to worry.

The jerkbait its made out of cherrywood. High density wood types can hold the screw eyes very good. Its been tested,mate.

Fantastic lure art! What is the white liquid you are dipping the lure into? What is it's purpose?
Basically is a type of plastic melted in acetone. I added some white pigment,as well.
The purpose is for sealing the wood and for creating a plastic layer on the lure body. Makes the lure more durable and protects the wood from the pike's teeth.
Do you make it or can you purchase it somewhere?

Legat de materiale,subiectul e amplu si ar fi mult de scris. Cauta pe google tutoriale "scrise" despre constructia voblerelor atat in romana cat si in orice alta limba pe care o stapanesti pt ca informatie e multa. Bafta! 😉

It's my homemade sealer. For the first time I deep de blank for 12 hours. After that I mount the hardware and after several dips but just for a couple of seconds as duration. I hope I've made myself understood.

Hey there, big fan of lure makers, and thats prob not my buiseness but id like to suggest to not put annoying looped music in such long vids. id rather watch it in silence with just ambient sounds of you sanding that lure etc. 3 minutes in and it really hurts :D
Got it mate,but not always is possible. Sometimes I'm listening to the music or the Tv is on,or my dog is barking :)
Anyway I'll take your advice and thanks for your feedback.
