    Bro, this was excellent! Great first impression and recap of your experience.
    Love the roll you did at 17:35 it helped show how you were able to keep your head on target, granted head tracking can do that too, but the accuracy here is what is crushing the experience.

    In Canada the Quest 3 is about $700. I bet this Light is better then the Meta. Problem is what is the Crystal Light in Canadian $ worth? The cost of sim flying is way too much lol. I just wish we could use the VR headset for front row viewing of Hockey, and other sports or even Rock concerts up by the stage! Id love to WWII combat dog fight. Now that would R O C K my world. VRPaytv would be fine in my book! NZ is gorgeous but come visit us up in BC too! The coastline or mountains of Banff or maybe where AvAngel flies a lot, Bella Coola!

      Simming has definitely gotten expensive (just ask my wife lol). But as cliche as this may sound, it truly has changed the way I sim overall--to include several racing titles that we play separately.

    What about someone that wears glasses is there room inside to fit a pair of glasses or is the PIMAX view adjustable for differences in people eye sight?

    • @thatflightsimchannel
      @thatflightsimchannel  Месяц назад

      I just tested it out myself and it was very tight and close to the lenses. However, you can always check out Studioform Creative (or Pimax if their inventory is updated) and they make a variety of foam/leather pads for the Pimax that add some thickness and creates more distance from the lenses. I'm going to end up ordering the 15mm one to add a bit more cushion and create a slightly bigger gap from the lenses. Otherwise, the default setting of the Crystal Light is surprisingly comfortable out of the box!

      @PaulMcDonagh-rv6vc Месяц назад +1

      You will need to buy prescription lenses, or if wearing glasses, you will need a larger face gasket. Studio-foam is the go-to company.

      @@PaulMcDonagh-rv6vcthis is the correct answer! I’ll be buying the Studio form 15mm gasket and trying it out soon so we can provide some better feedback for those of you with glasses.

    Does this headset offer VR pass through?

    • @thatflightsimchannel
      @thatflightsimchannel  Месяц назад

      Not as far as I know unfortunately. I believe the OG Pimax Crystal does support this. However, I've recently read that Pimax was working on a faceplate to support this. Time will tell.

    • @thatflightsimchannel
      @thatflightsimchannel  Месяц назад

      Yes, we know. That was abundantly clear from the get go. We don’t intend to record through the lens as it does not represent an accurate image of what you see. The only way to do that is to actually wear the headset on your head.

    • @pabloamigo4337
      @pabloamigo4337 Месяц назад

      @thatflightsimchannel ok agree with you but lot of people lose money an VR headset and get disappointed because of those can reviewing... Still if you check there's some people recorded through the lens . Resolution totally deferent.

      Thanks for the feedback and stay tuned because we’re working on more footage of the Crystal Light. And feel free to let us know what else you’d like to see as a consumer because we’re right there with you 😎

    no it's not, don't be fooled. Read reddit Pimax full of issues, I had Crystal Original and Crystal Light and pimax is a complete bullshit. Get yourself Quest 3 which is just tiny bit worse in terms of resolution but lenses are by far the best ones with true edge to edge clarity and overall headset build and meta's software makes this trully a nice experience compared to pimax which is nonesense.

      Cześć. Widzę, że nie tylko ja się interesuję tymi goglami. Jak oceniasz oba sprzęty, Pimax ponoć ma deklasować Questa. Zastanawiam się nad kupnem jednego z nich (jeszcze PSVR2 i Pico4 wyglądają świetnie), będę grał tylko poprzez PC, żadne symulatory mnie nie interesują. Czytałem właśnie, że sprzęt może przybyć z defektami, dużo ludzi musiało go wymienić na nowy, dodatkowo wysylka 14-28 dni też nie zachęca. Możesz coś doradzić? Naprawdę wielkie dzięki za odpowiedz!

    • @thatflightsimchannel
      @thatflightsimchannel  Месяц назад +2

      @@grzegorztomasiak honestly, I was skeptical when I read all of the issues on Reddit that you’re pointing out. But I can promise you, I must’ve gotten lucky cause my headset is perfectly fine. No defects, no dead pixels, no problems whatsoever. Also, I heavily disliked Meta’s software. I’m enjoying firing up Pimax Play and just starting a sim and there we go. No annoying crashes to desktop or stutters like I experienced with the Quest 3.
      The one thing I can’t say for sure is whether or not you’ll receive a Crystal/Crystal Light with bad lenses or “insert problem here”. But in all reality, that’s the risk we take as consumers. Sucks to hear you had a bad experience with them. I must’ve gotten lucky cause my lenses are perfectly fine and while the Quest 3 was a great intro to VR, I’ll never go back to them. But once again, this is strictly my opinion. We are not fooling anybody.
