Excellent review! I’ve had my Crystal Light for about a week and I’ve had the same lens issue with my headset. Pimax support responded very quickly to my support ticket and is sending out another set of lenses. I’ve been using the Reverb G2 V2 for the last couple of years and this headset is a perfect upgrade. The PimaxPlay worked flawlessly for me too. I am using a 1290K with a 3090 flying MSFS 2020 and it looks smooth at medium to high in game settings with DLSS on quality. The clarity and image resolution/detail in this headset definitely lives up to the hype! The headset is pretty comfortable right out of the box to me too but ordered the comfort foam kit for the longer flights.
Hello! Can you please describe how the sweet spot size and the fov compare to the G2? And what face gasket you use with the G2: revision 1, 2, or an aftermarket one?
Did you get your new lenses? It seems like they will send me a new pair as well. Same issue unable to focus especially in the distance, found out that the left lens has the sweet spot in a different location (further up and left) so when the right eye sees a clear image the left eye sees blurry.
@@yeruschmift8422 I was always struggling to stay in the G2 sweet spot. For example, If I wanted to read the landing gear or flap extension limitation speeds on a placard at my elbow or knee level in a cockpit in MSFS, I would have to tilt my head down so that the text was in the dead center of my gaze. In the PCL I can read the small text by just looking down while keeping my head level. The PCL sweet spot is bigger. I never used any aftermarket face gaskets with my G2. I am using the Studioform gasket and 1 spacer with my PCL and it’s very compatible.no comfort issues.
@@arminglf they emailed me a shipping label notice a week ago but the shipper is still waiting on the lenses. They did this with the headset order too. It took a few weeks after I got the notice for the actual product to arrive. Support has been good at communicating with me. They have a great product but it looks like they are having some teething pains with the quality control from their lens vendors. I use vr for flight simming exclusively so the aggravation associated with getting the highest visual fidelity in this headset is totally worth it for me. I’m using reading glasses with the headset for now and that has made it usable until the new lenses arrive. The improvement over the G2 is THAT good.
Great review. The main problem with the Crystal Light, is Pimax decided on going with 1 meter focal point for the optics, pretty much all other HMDs use 2 to 3 meters as a focal point. This can cause issues with people who wear progressive (varifocal) glasses. I am one of those people, in any other headset, I have to look through my "distance" prescription (at the top of my glasses), but with the Crystal Light, I have to look pretty much dead center of my glasses which is the spot I would use to look at real life things being 1 meter away. As a test for anyone thinking about a Crystal light..... print out some kind of eye chart (text in incremental sizes), stick it on a wall, use a tape measure and measure 1 meter from the wall and stand there, if you can read the chart properly then you'll do fine in the Crystal light, if it's fuzzy, then you'll need a prescription for a set of inserts. Now I don't know if you can get a specific prescription from a optometrist telling them you want to see perfectly clear at 1 meter distance. I start using my glasses distance prescription at roughly 1.7 meters and my distance prescription is very weak so I can see distance fine without glasses, but at the 1 meter mark, things get fuzzy without my glasses. Oh how I wish Pimax would have went with 2 meter focal point instead.
You absolutely can get that prescription and you are spot on about using the right prescription. I'm fortunate that I dont need a distance prescription any longer and my middle distance prescription (my optician I think calls it a Video Display Unit prescription 1.2m approx focal point) is perfect for this headset. You will not have a good time using a distance prescription or reading glasses prescription so be warned.
I have good vision and I noticed straight away that the focal depth was much shorter than my Valve Index. Things that are far away like mountains in the distance feel oddly close to my eyes as if I was looking at a monitor in front of me. You kinda get used to it like you get used to new glasses, but I wish the focal depth was 2-3m so everything doesn't look so up close.
@@vivid_clarity I would get ahold of VR Optician and tell them what is happening and what the problem is with the prescription inserts and ask if they are compensating your original prescription for that 1 meter focal point of the Crystal Light. Chances are they may make you a new set of lenses.
I'm sending my Crystal Light headset back after they pry it out of my cold dead hands. It's the best thing I ever purchased. There were no issues. I use it for MS flight simulator. I did not buy the controllers, they are unnecessary for flight simulation. My version does have local dimming. The colors are great, much better than my old Reverb G2. So is clarity and sweet spot.
Bravo! Your review is spot on. Subscribed! Received my Crystal Light and have the same issue with the lenses. Got a hold of their support and they are sending new lenses. WHEN? Don’t know yet, as I haven’t gotten any emails WHEN! I asked for a 15 day extension on return policy and didn’t get a reply to this either. I feel they knew they were sending out headsets with inferior lenses which doesn’t make me warm and fuzzy. My cheek bones are taking a beating…the G2 was more comfortable. But, Microsoft are a$$holes for their decision on WMR…
@ Received a new set of lenses from Pimax Support and the left lens was the same, right one good, so they are sending a new left lens. Should receive within the week. As far as I’m concerned Pimax Support has done a good job in trying to get a resolve. The lenses are from a vendor and manufacturing will grab all the new lenses they can to meet their quota. Support has to put in their request for a replacement part and wait for manufacturing to release it. I know this as I have been in a support role job. If you have used the PCL, and seeing what it brings to the VR experience, the view is pretty damn good. So rather than throwing in the towel, I will let support do their job, and get my headset corrected slow but sure…going to be worth the wait…
Jaap from Pimax here. Fantastic review, covering features and performance in depth. Thanks for your rigor and dedication to this. Hoping you'll have a perfect Crystal Light soon.
hello jaap,i wanna ask you something,i hear some people having issues with the 1m focal lenses, but people that see things perfect at 1 meter distance would not have any issues right?
I had an 8kx briefly and had this exact same focus problem. I always felt a little cross eyed. I played with IPD and eye settings for hours but never got it right. I returned it and went for Reverb G2 which I love. I am now interested in Crystal Light but a little scared of this misaligned eyesight feeling.
Your from pimax are you can you please assist me with my support issue I cannot seem to get anyone to help me. I have dead pixels , I have a faulty volume control the IPD is almost impossible to adjust, it does not adjust reasonably well. the support is terrible. I have been asked numerous time now to image the dead pixel I cannot I have tried, I live half a world away and now I have a bad taste in my mouth because I want a complete and working headset. Hell I was going to buy a second but I think I am going to have to look for another company now. Is their any competition. I hate buy now suffer later experience at least have good support. I have had this thing for a week and great images bad support niggly unacceptable problems. Anyway and angry customer wishing he could get support.
I had my Crystal Light for 3 weeks and it just stopped connecting, after days trying to get tickets answered I eventually got help on the discord channel, headset diagnosed as needing replacement, I was told that there were no replacement units for warranty, only for new sales, I was advised to return the unit and buy another one locally, trouble is being in Australia, there was no stock anywhere. So warranty claims are given no priority. So I pre ordered, waited months for the headset, it failed after 3 weeks and Pimax tells me to go find another one myself and here’s a refund. Do you think that warranty should get priority or am I being unreasonable?
@@andydixon141 No, they don't. Australia has this thing called "Australian Consumer law" The consumer warranty is far longer than the warranty Pimax gives. If they try and sell good from here, then they have to follow Australian law. Pimax wouldn't even qualify.
You forgot one thing about initial reviews ... they laboriously tell you everything you already know about the product. I don't know if anything can be done about this per se, except to note that reviewers should be aware that a lot of people are suffering through the predictable reading of the marketing material in hopes of you supplying some unique insight or something we DON"T know. Preferably something important, such as, in this case, the noted benefit of using a display port vr device over a usb driven one with respect to latency. What is the experience like compared to the number one headset on the market today that being the Quest 3. Don't, draw it out and save it for another review ... skip the unboxing, ooh and ahh ... and even the first impressions if you don't have anything important to say. People don't have time for a lot of nonsense these days and we know when we're being padded. Get to the point, make it useful, fun, and entertaining.
Wtf do you think this "in depth review" is? The "influencer" is even selling you additional headphones for 100$ extra. This "review" is meant for all the people which have read about all the lense/curved effect problems and still hesitating to buy it.
The advantage over the Quest 3 is clear anyway: no compression hence no extra GPU load, clear picture with no artifacts, no lag. Seriously, Quest must die.
@@Joe-Tump My Crystal has the same issue... its a piece of crap, im going to get an Aero. Pimax is great if you love tweaking for performance, but out of the box, they need a LOT of learning. I would not recommend these for a new user.
I must first commend the Pimax team for having the courage to stand up and communicate with users. Quality issues can't be resolved overnight, but at least we’ve seen their attitude, and that’s a good start!
The advertised 115 degree FOV is a straight up lie. The headset only renders a max FOV of 104 degrees so no matter your headshape or distance to the lenses the max horizontal FOV is 104 not 115.
Pimax is known for not getting the two displays perfectly aligned. There might be a slide offset horizontally or vertically. An even slide vertical offset will cause pain in on eye. You would need to play with the digital offset correction stepwise. It took me a year to figure the correct settings for my 8KX and also my 5k had different offsets. It should be easier on the Crystal as the displays are not canted.
I am new to all of this but thank you for this video. I too am having focus issues but had no idea something was wrong. Thought I just had to deal with it. It feels like I’m living in a fish bowl even when not playing. Reaching out to pimax now.
I really love my Crystal Light headset. I've been using it for about a hundred hours now and so far, no issues whatsoever! I can describe the performance in three words: WHAT A RUSH ! It's my first time with VR and I certainly am blown away with the ability to be transported into a virtual other world! After doing a lot of research and talking to other VR users, I came to the conclusion that I needed to buy one hell of a beast machine to drive it to its full potential. I now have such a machine and the Crystal Light headset is pushed to a fantastic performance as a result of this PC which has an Intel 5.6Ghz CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU, 64GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD ! Again, I really love my Crystal Light!
I agree with you about the local dimming thing. I think it will get better with time but the overall brightness is drastically reduced with local dimming enabled. The brightness and clarity is what this headset is all about. Oh and yes the DMAS is an absolute must. I really enjoy my crystal light.
I just bought the none controller edition. Haven't received it yet but I'm wondering if I am going to be able to reset position easily without being able to hold the controller button? I'll be using for msfs and dcs only.
Yeah I’m going to ride this cycle out w my Reverb. No eye tracking, large form factor and 1m focal distance are my reasons. I’m guessing my next hmd has yet to be announced.
I got really unlucky with the Reverb G2, mine broke within 2 weeks of owning it last year, sent back with full refund. Decided to wait for next gen stuff. Looking at getting the 5090 followed by maybe the Pimax crystal Super
@@peterjamesluck I lucked out and found a local Pimax affiliate store and was able to pick up a fairly good Crystal Light. As far as I can tell it's a good unit although there are some slight defects in the plastic around the lenses. Maybe refurbished?
I had the EXACT same ISSUE as you with the focus and had to send it back to Pimax. I could focus up close on instrument gauges just fine but when trying to focus on distant object when flight simming, it was impossible without significant focus problems that would leave me with a headache. You seem to have had a better experience than me with the Pimax customer service…
QC is the only reason I haven't gotten a Cristal light yet. I was expecting most of the issues to be fixed by now. Unfortunately, it's only gotten worse. I'm not spending $800 on a VR HS that takes months to get a replacement for an HS that should have never been sent to a customer anyway. And now we see more and more customers with issues Pimax can't or won't fix.
I think I just received, as new, one of the Crystal Light headsets which everyone seems to be returning. The plastic lens cover film was off both lenses and loose in the box for one and missing for the other. My lenses, both of them, have a horizontal optical distortion right in the middle of the field of view. I'm very disappointed. I suspect the original purchaser was as well. I haven't heard back from customer service in over 24 hours and I worry that even if they promise to send me a new lens set, I'm likely way down on a wait list of people waiting on lens replacements given the older comments below. I have no doubt they are prioritizing their lens supply chain to build new units and fill new orders but I am hoping to have a great resolution form customer support and will come back here and comment if that happens!
Three emails to customer service went unanswered but I heard today that they plan to send out a replacement set of lenses. I'll try to update if I get them and in particular, if they solve the issue.
After lesst than a week, i believe my lens showing the same behaviour. I do have a 1m focal lenght glasses for my computer which is that distance. So everything is clear, but I get terrible eye strain when looking into the distance. There but not as much in the cockpit. When i revert back to my Pico with my distance spectacles, I can stay in it for hours. Just need to do more testing, before i raise a ticket. Many thanks for the video, without it I'm not sure i would have though this as a flaw. Headset is amazing clarity/comfort/contrast, fingers crossed they can sort it.
Interesting... I've just returned my Pimax Crystal Light for the same out of focus issue. Aircraft panel instruments in MSFS2020 were sharp but as you say, then looking up or sideways outside looked fuzzy. I also found the tracking laggy and all this makes you feel dizzy. Also the eye overlap was clearly visible and annoying and I did set the IPD properly. Back onmy Quest3 the image was sharp all over and tracking instant. So a Pimax return it was.
I’m having the same issue with focus and I have VR Optician “distance” prescription lenses, now I don’t know what to do since I spent a lot of money on them.
Why do all reviews talk about audio on these headsets? Who actually even uses them? I just want to know if there's a audio jack. Hook up your own headset and boom easy fix.
Looking at instruments is around 1 m distance, which is the focal distance of Crystal Light. Looking outside your plane is more than that which kinda doesn't work well (probably) with a HMD like that, most other HMDs have a focal distance to the screen of 2 m. Means the light is great for close up stuff and bad for looking at things further away (including bunch of complicated stuff that comes with getting the correct dioptrin for correction lenses)
I got my light and am waiting on replacement lenses, just cannot get it in focus at all, only got few days of trial so hoping they will extend or the headset will go back, need to see it fully working for me before the final payment gets made
@@edgarsi Replacement lenses were not ordered so on the end rejected the trial, had to fanny around for a bit longer than I was advised but eventually got refund back
do you know how I could find out where a demo center might be. I live in NYC and for sure would love to buy one. but would like to try it out first. I am looking for a replacement for my aging valve index and have grown tired of waiting for the valve Deckard
Terrible QC from them. They litterally didn't even try to make basic tests. I'm very worried now, because I'm waiting for my PCL. Or just cancel the order, as there's more and more of this problems
@@edgarsireceived, and already sent back, and asked for refund. Terrible experience. No more Pimax for me. This was second attempt. First was 5K and now PCL. QC is just too bad. Plastic feels really cheap. And got bad lense, not centered,....
I got mine a couple days ago and I am sending it back. First of all, after about 10 minutes of use, an entire row of pixels died in the left eye. But worse than that, the lenses have a very bad distortion effect around the inner edges by the nose cutout. It made everything in the bottom center of my view look very off. Instrument panels didn’t appear at the correct distance, and when focusing on a single point in space and moving my head from side to side, there is a very noticeable warbling effect. It is very off putting and immersion breaking. It very much felt like I am looking through a piece of glass (like a coke bottle) and not viewing something naturally as if I were there. I previously owned/own a Rift S and G2 and have never had this issue with fresnel lenses. Despite lots of tweaking with settings and adjusting the headset position and IPD, I could not get rid of the distortion and am convinced it is a design flaw of this lens type. It began to give me headaches and is a deal breaker for me, since viewing airplane cockpits clearly is a must. Had the lens not had this issue, I would send it back for the dead pixels and be satisfied with a replacement.
Great video, thank you. I have the Reverb G2 and I am having another cable failure (3rd time!). So I am considering the Pimax Crystal Light. Have you heard of cable failure for this headset? Thank's a lot.
I prefer “laboriously” hearing about the specs from a “consumer” vs. the manufacturer! LOL! Keep making your laborious reviews! I preferred your comments over the other 20ish PCL reviews I’ve watched! Sure hope FS2024 visuals are as good as “they” say they are? That would make the PCL a no brainer!
Hello,i have the DT770 too I was wondering if you can wear them comfortably while wearing the headset? With my quest2 i can put them but the stap is on the way and its very uncomfortable I hope it fits well, because i dont think the Dmas will have better sound than this. Plus sometimes you dont want others to listen what you hear
Hello, I am extremely disappointed by this product that I have waited so long for. The image is so blurry, I spent two full days trying to adjust the lenses without success. I own a Quest 3 and it's better in every way, right out of the box. I've just asked for a refund because I don't think Pimax is capable of providing me with a solution.
From what i heard, some of the lenses are faulty and is fairly common to get duff lenses. I've just ordered a Crystal and now im finding out all these things. ahh
Great review. It’s really detailed, which is how a review should be. I love my Quest 3, but I’ve had to replace it 3 times since I got it in October. I normally play PCVR anyway. I really don’t want to get something with base stations since I live in a college apartment and real estate is limited. What would you recommend for a PCVR headset without base station tracking? I thought this would be a good option if it came down to it, but wasn’t sure if something else was out there.
I got my DMAS today and I don't understand this hype around them. Me coming from a high-end Audio system like 800s, ADI-2-DAC FS and costume EQ I am still very disappointed. The Stock one is not good, but the DMAS don't make it better. It sounds muddy with some weird mids that it feels like I listen to audio when I have a cold. Do I oversee something ? Is there any update for CL that I have to make ? I may have high standards, but 110 euro are DMAS not worth in my opinion.
I would have loved to get the Crystal light however the lack of decent resolution color passthrough is a hard pass for me. I have a simpit with touch screens, switches, levers, radios, dials, a tablet for Navigraph, etc.., If I cant see my controls then VR is almost worthless to me. I have a pre-order for the crystal light super which is supposed to have MR capability, but in the mean time I will stick with the Quest 3 and SimXR for passthrough. It may not look quite as great as the Pimax but it is much more functional for complex simpits, and still a better experience than 2D.
I got 5 headsets so far and do not plan to get any more until Index 2 all these headsets come with rather marginal improvements or even downgrades that i no longer care for.
Although I do love my PCL, this review seems biased to me. Or OP has a really big head, because the PCL is extremely uncomfortable until modded. Much like the Q3
i have the EXACT same problems as you, things near is awesome, clarity .things at far is like blurried, but they say that they send me a pair of new lenses.i wish thats solves the problem.
I'm gonna get one in a year. Why a year. As a pimax customer I'm not stupid. I know there products are complete garbage. They need time to perfect it. Same with 8kx too. It had an update that fried your 8kx. I've kept an eye on things. Tons of complaints. Some issues are software and some faulty hardware.
I sent mine back as well .Far to heavy for me .And it kept steaming up .And unconfutable with glasses .My aero is now back on me face its still a great headset.
there is ugly hence why i sold mine in favour of keeping just the q3

Very interesting and good to hear I'm not the only one. I got the CL to replace my Varjo Aero and first, I was very happy with the clarity and the colors when doing some quick testing. However, after my first proper flight in the PMDG 737 in MSFS, my eyes really felt bad and I almost felt a bit dizzy. Never felt like this before in a VR headset and when going back to the Varjo Aero, it felt so good! A shame since I wanted the CL to be as amazing as everyone was saying but just like you, I decided to send it back to the reseller I bought it from and have my money back. Will be very interesting to hear how you'll find the new headset. If that works for you, maybe it would be worth giving the CL a second chance. Hoping to get one without this issue.
I'd have had more respect for this without the click-bait title, but was still a solid review. As for it being slightly front heavy, just add some additional counter weight to the back. Everybody seems afraid to do this for some reason, like they think adding weight will make it less comfortable. It doesn't, If the headset is perfectly balanced (at least on the Quest series), if it's perfectly balanced you don't even notice the weight.
Not much of a clickbait honestly, he actually returned it back because of that VERY important issue. And thanks to this review and bunch of commenters with the same issue I am not ordering this headset now.
Why the clickbait title that ends up being the opposite of what you really think because of the half sentence? How original...it's a great review, I enjoyed it, you can do without that nonsense
Just got the Crystal Light a few days ago, going from HP Reverb G2, the HP is great, but the Crystal Light display is better. Appreciate the tip for audio, tried to order headset upgrade but sold out, waiting for notification. I have 20/20 far vision, but only need reading glasses to see small print. With the HP, the focal point is infinity, so I don't need corrective lenses, however the Crystal Light focuses slightly too close, so I had to order lens inserts and a face mask kit to offset the HMD. I tested it first wearing my glasses, it's so sharp and clear the objects look real. The 3080 RTX and Ryzen 7 giving excellent results. Still keeping mine, the problems seem to be workable. We'll see after I get the lens inserts and mask kit.
Another reviewer not talking about horrendous persistence blur when looking around. Yeah it's a great headset if you don't know better. Varjo sets have the EXACT SAME ISSUES. Do Not Buy.

i dont get it why people are positive about clarity when the optics are off.
@@sergioalmeria5407 I need to ask this, I don't wear glasses myself
@@JaapGrolleman i dont use glasses neither.
I had my Crystal Light for 3 weeks and it just stopped connecting, after days trying to get tickets answered I eventually got help on the discord channel, headset diagnosed as needing replacement,
I was told that there were no replacement units for warranty, only for new sales, I was advised to return the unit and buy another one locally, trouble is being in Australia, there was no stock anywhere. So warranty claims are given no priority.
So I pre ordered, waited months for the headset, it failed after 3 weeks and Pimax tells me to go find another one myself and here’s a refund.
Do you think that warranty should get priority or am I being unreasonable?
Pimax announced on 30 Aug. they now have an AUS warehouse & service centre
@@andydixon141 No, they don't. Australia has this thing called "Australian Consumer law"
The consumer warranty is far longer than the warranty Pimax gives.
Good review, enjoyed it very much. Thanks Bartman !
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the honest review, awaiting mine being replaced, lots of issues reported on reddit .
This is the best, useful review I have seen on this headset. Well done. Thanks for sharing!
I must first commend the Pimax team for having the courage to stand up and communicate with users. Quality issues can't be resolved overnight, but at least we’ve seen their attitude, and that’s a good start!
glad you go in full depth unlike the other vids +rep
Excellent review. Especially concerning the honesty about 4080 and up.
Finally, an honest reviewer of this headset.
The advertised 115 degree FOV is a straight up lie. The headset only renders a max FOV of 104 degrees so no matter your headshape or distance to the lenses the max horizontal FOV is 104 not 115.
Pimax? False advertisement? NOOOOO you don't say..... lol sorry, couldn't help myself. shit company is shit.
The advertised fov is always diagonal: 115=105 and 200=170
Pimax is known for not getting the two displays perfectly aligned.
You buy a product to be waiting one full year to align it? The world is really xxx
Can’t wait to see you are doing a review on the Somnium VR1
I would love to review it if they would just send me one!
It's really a fantastic headset. DMAS in place of dimming for sure.
@@Sanibelsnook Even with the DMAS it's still the only headset you are getting with these specs for under $1k.
@@angrybeaver6667 How can i choose the model with local dimming? In Pimax site it seems is not possible...
I’m guessing my next hmd has yet to be announced.
same, my valve index does everything better except the resolution.
I have no doubt they are prioritizing their lens supply chain to build new units and fill new orders but I am hoping to have a great resolution form customer support and will come back here and comment if that happens!
any update?
I highly recommend the Pimax ratcheting top strap
thanks
I’m having the same issue with focus and I have VR Optician “distance” prescription lenses, now I don’t know what to do since I spent a lot of money on them.
Wow , you're the first reviewer I've seen mention that the lenses on the Light are removable .
Glad I could help!

This whole play area thing drives me nuts on all headsets. For us simmers let us turn it off permanently.
You can in developer mode on the Quest 3
The best sound comparison I ever seen! So is the barrel distortion bad? Do you loose the sweetspot while playing or looking around?
What game is that you called "low fi" - looked like blade runner kinda - police station? I've searched yt but can't figure it out
Great video, thank you. I have the Reverb G2 and I am having another cable failure (3rd time!). So I am considering the Pimax Crystal Light. Have you heard of cable failure for this headset? Thank's a lot.
I need to win my fantasy football league so I can afford to replace my Reverb G2. Crystal Light is what I want.
Thanks for the detailed review.
That would make the PCL a no brainer!
any update on the issue?
Hello,i have the DT770 too
I was wondering if you can wear them comfortably while wearing the headset?
With my quest2 i can put them but the stap is on the way and its very uncomfortable
I hope it fits well, because i dont think the Dmas will have better sound than this.
Plus sometimes you dont want others to listen what you hear
Can the headset be used without setting up in the pimax app?
Omg omg omg what is the song that’s in the background at 2:00? It reminds me of “place I’ll return to someday” ff9
You think a new Alienware computer with a 4070 will cut it?
Love the table, what brand? Oh and just bought a crystal light, now the wait begins.
Hello,
I am extremely disappointed by this product that I have waited so long for.
What would you recommend for a
PCVR headset without base station tracking? I thought this would be a good option if it came down to it, but wasn’t sure if something else was out there.
i'm sure Pimax just love you for the heading of this video.
Don't worry, Pimax has a lot of expierience with doing clickbait themselfs

I got 5 headsets so far and do not plan to get any more until Index 2 all these headsets come with rather marginal improvements or even downgrades that i no longer care for.
thats me over there.. index 2 it is
Although I do love my PCL, this review seems biased to me. Or OP has a really big head, because the PCL is extremely uncomfortable until modded. Much like the Q3
I mean all head shapes are different. My OG Crystal fits great even though it isn't the most comfortable headset that I've ever tried
8:00 No, it's just Crystal issue due to aspheric lenses.
They have smaller sweet spot than pancakes.
i have the EXACT same problems as you, things near is awesome, clarity .things at far is like blurried, but they say that they send me a pair of new lenses.i wish thats solves the problem.
Same issue here. Just on the right eye.
With the HP, the focal point is infinity, so I don't need corrective lenses,
however the Crystal Light focuses slightly too close, so I had to order lens inserts and a face mask kit to offset the HMD.
I tested it first wearing my glasses, it's so sharp and clear the objects look real. The 3080 RTX and Ryzen 7 giving excellent results.
Still keeping mine, the problems seem to be workable. We'll see after I get the lens inserts and mask kit.
Hello! Can you please describe how the sweet spot size and fov compare between Crystal Light and G2?
I just think the index us the better headset untill vavle desides to make the index 2
815 grams, that can't be comfortable for anything longer than a 20 minute session..
Another reviewer not talking about horrendous persistence blur when looking around.
Yeah it's a great headset if you don't know better.
