I've been enjoying my XSR 900 this summer with your flash and the LV Race. Thanks again!
Awesome! Thank you
@@vcyclenut Is it a bad idea to remove the baffle even though the ECU was flashed for the baffle being in?
Went down the rabbit hole the other day on the subject of exhaust systems, headers, etc. and 4-stroke engine tuning, as pertaining to what makes power, what doesn't, what key elements in headers create unique sound and what actually is happening in the air-stream. Complex and fascinating, the pressure wave vs. exhaust flow, how scavenging works.
I tend to think a lot of exhaust companies favor styling and convenience of fit, versus performance. I can see how it would cost substantial money in R&D to actually optimize every motorcycle for ultimate performance AND sound quality. I do think a lot more emphasis on horsepower and sound quality should be made in these companies rather than expensive muffler geometry and materials which offer nothing beyond style.
Nice looking and especially sounding exhaust! Any chance you'll be testing your GSX 8S with a similar Leo Vince system?
Do you also do engine braking tuning for each gear and mode? Do all mode get tuned? Also is the yoshi obnoxious loud compared to leo pipe? Thanks
Hello
Yes of course. I tweak the engine braking table for a more natural feel. The engine braking table for each mode is very small. It’s adjustable by each gear and about 6 different rpm’s.
Yes each mode is tuned for fuel mapping. I leave the throttle map in mode 4 stock
I cover this all in my gen 4 flash development page.
Check it out and let me know any questions you have

I do not find the yosh obnoxious
very nice curve, but why do you never post the fuel/air line?
Huh? You apparently didn’t watch the entire video.
I did post it with the db killer in db killer out comparison because it’s relevant
I don’t tune to an air fuel ratio I tune to a power curve which is why I don’t normally post them
Any issues with clearance on the swingarm, or ground clearance from leaning over in corners or going over speed bumps?
No. I haven’t heard of any either
Why can't you quantify partial throttle gains? Wouldn't you just do runs at say 40% throttle for both and compare?
Couple reasons that doesn’t work like that
Twisting the throttle response is not the same thing as just holding it steady at a certain twist
Short of going into the ecu and limiting the throttle to 40% how do I do that.
Its fly by wire so physical throttle twist does not equal actual
Throttle opening.
Is this the model 14371ebu or the new 2024 euro5+ 14452ebu?
Sorry I’m not sure what you are referring to
@vcyclenut i wanted to buy the exhaust but i could see 2 model one is 104db and the euro5+ model is 98db but they both look the same
@ I’m guessing the quieter one has a different db killer in it that you can’t see. I removed the db killer for most of my testing
@@vcyclenut on their website the db is quoted without dbkiller, with dbkiller it is 2db less, so the 2024 version ay not be as free flowing. Hence wanted to know which mode you had tested. Thank for the replies
Dute, can u test the arrow street legal exhaust (Euro5+) ?😩😩
It’s ordered. I can’t test what they haven’t shipped
Has anyone ran one of these exhaust without the " tail pipe". I am curious to take mine off and give it a try.
Not that I’m aware of.
Does the system have a cat ?
No
