Thank your for the update! This is why i choose you over the other guys. You actually get the parts and go out and ride. Plus you don't talk about other tuners.. I cant wait to see more and have you work on my ecu.
Straight and to the point, looks great, thanks David. I had my '23 tuned by you earlier this year and unfortunately totaled the bike last month. I just picked up a new '24 and after I heal from some injuries I will be mailing you the new ECU 🙂
I think you're the first guy anywhere that I've heard was interesting in doing cams, and actually taking action on it. I do think this 890 motor has a lot of potential. I've seen guys overseas turbocharging it (the 847 motor) with good results. It's not like the engine is fragile. Curious what Yamaha will do if they ever release the R9.
Looking forward to using your tune when I pick up a 24 SP. Any word if Graves intends on making an exhaust for this generation? I have a Graves on my FZ-07 and love the quality, sound and power.
@@exothermal.sprocket I think the new Bosch ECMs on KTM are too locked up to mod ... BMW ECMs are tunable, but shops like BT that do BMW either need you to first send the OEM tune to them via their programmer (R/S series) or send the entire ECM in for tuning (F series).
I would ride a bike tuned by me that is stock forever, no, being overly rich , would hurt the catalyst but that is not how I tune I tune for proper air fuel ration in all throttle positions and rpm. My tuning is in no way bad for the catalyst. A big part of my tuning is data logging while riding the bike on the road. This way I can precisely tune part throttle and know that it is tuned properly. the manufacturer would tune it like I do but they cant because of EPA and Euro 5 regulations in general , bikes tuned by the factory are leaner than ideal at part throttle and lower rpm's. That is where they are smog tested. They are richer than ideal at large throttle openings
@@damacknificent151 my turn around is one day. I have express shipping options on check out and yes the ecu can be returned to stock at any time That would be free. With me reflashes for any reason are free. You just pay return shipping on the reflash.
@@vcyclenut very cool. Even if let's say, i want a flash for a stock mt09 then later on i get exhaust or filter it can get re-flashed again for free? Thanks for answering
Is it possible to put a tune for the stock exhaust on one power mode, and a tune for an aftermarket exhaust on another power mode? Also that tip on how to turn off the traction control would do very well in it's own video.
The bike only holds one fuel map. Modes changes throttle maps. So unfortunately no. That can not be done 1:45 of this video I show exactly how to turn off tc
@@vcyclenut Thank you for clearing that up for my brain! I really appreciate the response. I saw the tip at 1:45, I just thought you'd do really well for views if you made that short clip into it's own RUclips short/video. I say this because I tried searching for a how to before and could not find anything. Just thought it could generate some more traffic to your channel. Cheers! and thanks again

Solid numbers! Id love to have one of these bikes, looks like so much fun
It really is!
Another amazing job!
Can you lower the fan temp ? So it engages around 98-100 degree ?
yep I set them to come on at 195F
Fascinating… seriously.

I wish they would. Last I talked to him he didn’t have plans for this platform
Strange... being one of Yamaha's most important models and tons of them sold.
First rate as always !!! You now need to get into BMW tuning to do my new '24 S1000XR
thank you!!
european bikes are bad candidates for developing mail in flashes
they like to change to much stuff every or every other year
Are the Bosch ECU's like Fort Knox? For all the work Rottweiler does, they still run PC5 on KTM.

@@QuickShiftMoto1 Figured something was up with the different brands of ECMs, why Woolich offers solutions for a lot of brands, but not all.
Have you done a flash with the Yamaha option Akra system - not the Raceline
Have a link?
Would you ride a tuned bike with a fully stock exhaust for a long period? Wouldn't running richer than intended end up hurting the catalyser?

As usual, bureaucracies have no concept of what's good for things that independent inventors and engineers designed.
That's really nice. The flash helped this stock bike. How much for a flash like this?
$300

@@Dairy_Air great idea. I’ll make one this coming week
nice work again.
But petrol is cheap in the US, here in Europe it is 1.85 euros/litre
