이누야샤는 모든 오프닝 엔딩이 좋아서 하나만 듣는게 참 아쉬움 ㅠㅜㅠ 어릴 때 mp3에 넣어서 엄청 들었는데 이 영상보고 오랜만에 들으러가야겠다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

이누야샤 본걸 계기로 애니 덕후가 되고, 10년이 넘도록 계속 애니 보다보니 일본어가 트이고, 그 덕분에 지금 일본에서 취업까지 했으니..ㅋㅋㅋ
제가 한가지 특이한 점은 초딩때 집에 투니버스가 안 나온 탓에 인터넷을 뒤져서 일본판을 다운받아 봤던 사람이라 한국인임에도 일본판이 훨씬 익숙하다는 점..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

When Cardcaptor Sakura was decided to come to the US, they tried to change it into more shounen style so it'll appeal to boys too, which is why they changed the title to Cardcaptors to include Li as a main character. It's the reason why the episodes of Li getting a card (i.e. Time, Twin) and the action-packed episodes (i.e. Power, Fight) were aired repeatedly. And also the reason why they have such an American shounen-esque theme song.

Not to mention that the episodes were heavily edited (from the color schemes, to the dialogue, to the sequence of episodes and scenes), the "girly" parts (romance developments, etc.) were cut out completely, etc.
And by making this change they killed.
when they butcher a series jsut for the sake of money. Reason why i dont watch old school anime in english or in generell lol
Yeah, Cardcaptor Sakura in the US is so butchered that even fans of English adaptations/dubs don't even like it. Its just one of the things that doesn't exist in our minds.
In Mexico, both Inuyasha and Sakura Cardcaptors' openings were the same songs as the original japanese ones (but sung in spanish) while Yu Gi Oh was the exact same intro song as the US one, which is actually quite an interesting mix. It's nice being able to recognize the tune of old animes and being able to sing the same tune both in japanese and in spanish!
didn't latin america use all the sakura openings? i found a supposedly official spanish version of the final opening and i learned how to sing it 🤡 but i'm not latina or hispanic so i wouldn't know which ones they used

I had never actually heard the English version for Cardcaptor Sakura. The channel that aired it here just cut the opening songs of most kid shows since most people skipped intros. And I could have sworn the first opening for InuYasha was in the original Japanese when I watched it on Toonami. As well as the ending song. Around the time Toonami was getting popular, I remember seeing more anime that had very few changes from the original aside from language. At least in the ways of not editing episodes or changing the character's names to English ones.
InuYasha was actually dubbed in Canada! (It’s not American) the OP songs in the English version all remained in Japanese (even on TV) except for the little intros where they talk in OP 4, 5 and 6 I believe. The OP that was played as American in this video was actually an English cover made by the Italian VA of InuYasha I believe. :)
체리 같은 경우 투니버스에서 새로 더빙 하고 오프닝도 일본판을 따라가서 번안곡을 썼죠. 덕분에 팬들은 플라티나 우리말로 들을 수 있어서 좋았다는 후문이
70년대 한국에선 일본 주제가 멜로디 거의 비슷했는데 80년대이후 새로 작곡하는 경향이 많아 졌어요. 그때는 일본애니dst가 주로 앤카스타일이었는데 요즘은 락밴드스타일이 많더군요. 정확히는 모르지만 요즘 일본에서 잘나가는 요아소비나 요루시카,리사,마푸마푸 같은 밴드 노래 중에 애니ost가 많다고 하더라구요.
그 영어로는 mafumafu 이기는 한데 후를 fu로 써서요.. 마후마후입니다.. 친구가 처음에 mafumafu 보고 마파두부생각난다고 했음..ㅋㅋㅋ
Card Captor Sakura is hilarious in french. Producers gave everyone old school french names, except for Sakura (probably bc she's the MC) so it feels really weird to watch the french dub. When roll call happens you hear all those old french names, and Sakura in the middle of all this.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! opening you used for the Japanese one is “season 0” animated by Toei Animation. The first openings America and Korea have are from what’s called Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in Japan which was animated by Studio Gallop.

일본컨텐츠로 세 나라가 문화적으로 많이 교류되었다는게 느껴졋네요. 각각 다른나라에서 성장했지만 어릴적 추억이 공유되는게 신기 했습니다.

데이브님 유희왕 일본판 오프닝은 반다이 버전꺼에요 유희왕은 원래 카드게임 만화이기 전에 보드게임 만화였는데 토에이에서 한 반다이파 애니 오프닝이고 코나미판 유희왕 오프닝 일본판은 따로있어요

I prefer the Japanese opening for Cardcaptor Sakura over the English one 100%.
Also, the English version for Yu-Gi-Oh as well as the Japanese versions of InuYasha's theme songs is also my favourites.
My favourite theme for InuYasha is the first opening for sure whilst the ending for InuYasha is the second ending theme. Japanese versions, I mean. Fukai Mori by Do As Infinity. ♥

I really love Inuyasha! I'm from Barcelona (Spain) so we have 2 languages Spanish and Catalan. I've seen animes in both languages so it's different from one to another, including names and openings
어렸을때 추억의 놀이 비교영상도 재미있을거같고 궁금하네요^^ 한국은 오징어게임때문에 유명해져서 대부분이 알지만 일본과미국은 뭐하면서 놀았는지 궁금하네요 (단 피시방,카페, 노래방 말고 거의 나이가 30세에서 20세중반까지를 기준으로 잡고 기획하시면 좋을실것같네요 ㅎㅎ) I think it'll be fun to watch a comparison video of childhood games. I'm curious.^^ Most people know because Korea has become famous for squid games, but I wonder what Japan and the U.S. did. (Other than PC rooms, cafes, and karaoke rooms, I think it would be good to plan based on the age of 30 to mid-20 years old. (Laughs)

한국어판 이누야샤 OST 제목은 Grip! 인데요 가수가 서현진님이에요 전 서현진님 배우로만 알고 있었는데 고2땐가? 추억돋아서 이누야샤를 혼자 youtube로 찾아 봤는데 보다가 언니가 알려줘서 서현진님이 노래 부르신걸 알게 되고 찾아보니까 서현진님이 원래 아이돌로 데뷔하셨다가 배우로 전향하신거더라구요 그래서 되게 놀랐던 기억이... 심지어 제가 이누야샤 보는거 보고 동생도 같이 보겠다고 같이보다 동생도 재밌다고 이거 뭐냐고 그랬던 기억이.... 전 동생이랑 나이 차가 좀 있어서... 동생이 이미 태어났을 땐 달빛천사고 이누야샤고 다 끝나서 안 하던 시기라...2010년도라,,,, 달빛천사는 보면 항상 울고 있고 하니 노래 나오는 애니 보다 울면 "누나 또 달빛천산가 뭔가 그거 보는거야?"라는 말을 들을 정도로 많이 봐서...

미국판에서는 이누야샤 오프닝 다 일본어에 영어자막이었습니다. ^^
한국은 1기 오프닝만 한국 자체제작이라 노래가 1기 때만 달라서, 노고말숙님이 생소하셨던 것 같습니다.

Whenever I watched InuYasha on Toonami, it was always with the Japanese opening and ending themes. I've never heard them in English.
Hey Dave! I have a suggestion. Since you finished comparison of anime songs, how about looking at Japanese anime songs actually done by kpop artists? For example like BOA's song for Fairy Tail or TVXQ's/DBSK song for One piece. There are a lot more. Just a suggestion. Have a good day and early Merry Christmas!

As Erina suggested, you should do a video on new anime. However, I suggest you also do various video series on a specific anime in detail looking not only at previous, recent, and present anime series but also compare character names and more. E.g. A series on #Pokemon comparing various openings, endings, #Pokemon names, trainer's names, and more throughout the series in addition to the original you already compared in multiple languages.
I neeever ever heard the English version of the Inuyasha first opening, it's so bizarre to me. I watched the english dub but the songs were always in Japanese. Boa actually did one of the closing songs, Every Heart! It's one of my favorites.
That's cause that was the italian version! Massimiliano Alto sang "Change the World", Inuyasha voice actor!

Inuyasha never used English songs for their openings or endings in the US. In fact, when it initially aired, the openings were typically omitted altogether and only the Japanese endings were left intact.
It wasn’t until many years later the Japanese openings did start being aired in the US and on all home media releases the Japanese openings and endings are intact too.
“Change the World” has always been performed by Japanese band V6 here, we never ever had the English version by Max Alto.
I heard the English 1st opening was used in Italy instead.

YGO English opening really had the best hype music out of all the openings imo, but then when you hear Passionate Duelist in the Japanese version, it's FULL HYPE TIME PEDALTOTHEMEDALLET'SGO.
I’m sorry I’m literally only on Cardcaptor Sakura and I’m DYING. I have NEVER heard the English opening before. Even if I play the show in English it still plays the OG Japanese intro!
Edit: I just got to Inuyasha and when Erin’s squealed and went ‘SESSHOMARU-SAMA AHHHHH’ I felt that deep in my heart. Sesshomaru holds a special place in all our hearts I was vibing with her the whole time lmaoo

Something interesting is that I didn’t watch Inuyasha while it was airing, only as reruns or streaming and the intro was completely different. It was this epic sounding instrumental opening which I suggest that people should check out.
Yep. If you watch InuYasha streaming in the US, they replace a few openings with bgm instrumentals because of rights issues. However, you get the original OPs on any of the DVDs and Blu rays. Also, the English dub still used the JPN OPs and EDs. I'm thinking this English song was put together for RUclips, because it was never used for the English dubbed series in the US.
Funny thing is when the first episode aired on AS way back when they actually played the opening some "I want to change the world" I believe it was the only time
@@Bamboo_Q Yeah! I remember AS playing Change the World (in Japanese of course) during the first run of the early episodes, but AS stopped playing the OPs soon after for reasons unknown. The InuYasha EDs were most popular with American audiences because we didn't get exposed to the OPs much outside of Change the World.

Yeah as some have mentioned in Australia. (Not sure which production company etc) But our opening for Card Captor was basically the japanese one in english. I was hella confused with Dave cringing haha

한국은 일본 애니를 아동용으로 수입하기 때문에 이름을 한국식으로 다 바꿉니다.
미국이야 다민족 국가니까 이름이 일본식이라도 상관없으니 그대로 사용

I really love the Egyptian elements in the US ver of YuGiOh since the anime itself takes some inspiration from ancient Egyptian culture.
What a pity Dave used different YuGiOh opening for JP version. Same case with Inuyasha’s JP opening too, but that one is understandable because using that version might make this video taken down
The weirdest thing is that growing up watching Inuyasha I swear they aired it with the Japanese version of "Change The World" and I didn't find out about the English version until later on because I have distinct memories of 5 year old me hearing the opening come on with "I want to change the world, 情熱絶やさずに高鳴る未来へ, 手を伸ばせば輝けるはずさ It's wonderland" instead of whatever the English lyrics are.

Im from Malaysia. They play all OG Japanese version song here for those 3 anime even for mandarin dub. Depend on the channel, Chinese channel used mandarin dub but keep the Japanese song and on english channel the play japanese song with OG Japan seiyuu but with english sub. Listening to inuyasha opening never fail makes me wanna cry. Its like unlock some memories from back there since i dont even remember my childhood but for sure Inuyasha is the only happiness that i have back then.

Fun fact: CardCaptor Sakura’s theme songs were translated in some parts of the world with the exact same music. But it’s complicated. For example, in Québec, or other parts of Canada where they speak French, the show’s themes were all in French and had the exact same songs. But these songs were not used when played in France! France had theme songs that were dance pop songs made by FroggyMix. It’s really odd! But i’m glad I grew up with all the songs that were original but just translated. Some of the japanese songs were played as-is too. NOW TO ADD TO THE CRAZYNESS. Canada also had CardCaptors same as the US in english, and indeed, the story was heavily edited. So in the end, i’m incredibly glad I had the version in French. It was REALLY close to the Japanese original version. And having the extra songs was a bonus!

In the Philippine dubbed broadcasts, the titles were mainly maintained, but the entire opening sequence more often than not cut for time, since commercials still take predence so much that basically local programming on a normal day is:
-85% commercials/advertisements + TV station promotions (programs & news)
-15% actual programming
