thank you for doing this thoughtful dive on the album that single handedly made me a jay fan
thank you for watching!
Same here....🎉
Love this album, there's such a melancholy and grief to a lot of it, yet so much joy and life affirmation. No ID's production is out of this world good, and EVEN bonus tracks are really good.
well-said!
@@sergescardigno well-said yourself! Great essay as usual.
I was floored by Jay's vulnerability on this album and between that and the production, it makes it my favourite Jay Z album to date. Great breakdown Sergio!
Great album. It's a classic. Very underrated from those who refuse to grow up. Mature minds know that it is great.
I’ve never seen deep dives on 4:44 but I randomly stumbled across yours, and I loved it!
4:44 is my favourite a masterpiece of J. It’s so aware, and has got a lot of themes he touches on personally and poetically.
The music is also so simple yet the complexity and themes of sampling is well thought.
I came to New York from Chennai, India during 2016-17 to do some music production course and this album was my company throughout my walks day and night.
I fell in love with everything! This album always takes me back there and someday I wish I would move to NY!
yes bro. this is one of the few albums where the explicit tag actually means more then just language. such a mature album.
4:44 is what got me into Jay Z tbh
The whole album is an absolute artistic and lesson filled masterpiece.
Same for me. I was a Jay Z hater before this because, honestly, I just never listened to his music. After I heard 4:44, everything instantly changed. It is just incredible with how much layering it has from lyrics to production. It motivated me to start rapping. And, as I go through Jay's discography, he has become my favorite rapper. Especially after hearing Reasonable Doubt.
@@Zainedog reasonable doubt is incredible 🔥
Glad you've gotten into Jay
The production alone makes this one of the most enjoyable projects to listen to. Evocative, unique, and beautiful. Where else do you get a track like Marcy me or 4:44?
It is rap for mature people who have people counting on you. People that have children, mortgages, and responsibilities can feel this album.
i love your videos tbh. such a way of explaining ! thanks brother
Great album and video. Keep up the great work!
One of my favorite albums in a long time right here. Appreciate you taking this thing apart.
Great content and analysis as always 💯
This one of my favorite albums of all time. Great video
I despise when people assume children don’t believe people my age can’t understand stuff like this
This is such a fantastic video ❤
great video thanks for sharing looking forward to the next
Excellent deep dive. This is Reasonable Doubt part two.
Dude, your analysis is so good and easy to grasp, I love your videos. Do you think you’d ever do a “reviewing my subscriber’s music” type thing? I have multiple musicians friends who are your fans and would love to submit their stuff to you and get your opinion!
Great review. Definitely one of my favorite Jay albums
Dope video man
wow, what an amazing video!
This is dope nice 👍🏿
This change needs to blow up
my fave Jay album, great breakdown
Great video:)
ty :)
Live life proudly
Really cool breakdown man!
I really loved this album when it came out ❤ I'm confused why it didnt attract a wider audience. Im not that old, early 30s, and thought the album was fire.
I’m 20 Buh i fw Jay he the real goat
have you heard the bonus songs in tidal???
okay.. I was really with you about everything but what you said about moonlight lol no. the song is GOOD SOUP. you have a right idea, just you're not listening to the song. plus the music video explains it even more. one of the BEST song on this album.
444 is one of the best rap songs I’ve ever heard
There was some other artist that had an album titled 'a million dollars worth of game for 9.99 and he felt very hard done by from Jay Z stealing his angle.
Good grown man music but Life is Good set the tone for 4:44
All this gas yet you didn’t wanna go to the 4:44 tour with me and Miles🤘😞
bro thought I was gonna Uber to Long Island 💀
Yeah, that "Ciroc" line hasn't aged well.
Grown man bars…
Easily his best work imo. He doesn’t have the charisma as his earlier work on here but makes up for it in the cohesiveness, song writing, and ASTOUNDING production.
Even with the slight dip in charisma and performance he still has bars that i always laugh at in here
Personally it’s top 3 or 4 jay album for me
Reasonable doubt, vol 2, Blueprint, Black Album are the only Jay albums on this level.
4:44 is one of my favourite albums, and my favourite how-2-jew life lesson mentorship program. Jay should run a Ponzi scheme ngl

Is that Tony Khan from A.E.W.? .................O.M.G......ITS TONY KHAN.........🤭🤭🤭🤭
Love Hov but overrated album... great content but not so great execution. Nas Life is Good and KOD 2 are way better albums full of growth and actually good production
my favourite Jay-Z album.
