- I’m a digital nomad, car living in my Subaru Forester & today I'm escaping normal life in Panama City Beach, Florida. I encounter too many crowds, have to cook dinner in a parking lot and get rained out of my campsite.

Highly commercialized places full of tourists are a good thing to avoid as much as possible for many reasons. There are some nice, somewhat remote forested areas in the panhandle that would have been a totally different experience. It sucks losing things all the time. I used to always leave something behind and still do from time to time.
Yes amazing how quickly things can go missing in such a small space. All those crowds and noise would make it not as fun to visit those beaches but very pretty. What a sweet free camp spot. The weather, rain and wind can make it hard or impossible to cook outside at times.
yeah
i did find my knives though a few days later. so- yeah!
haha

I was driving next to you, Erik, on the Hathaway bridge going from Panama City Beach into town (Panama City). I was driving a u haul and saw your channel name on your back window. Thought I'd drop by and say hey! 👋
hey! thanks for stopping in!
Great video and I like the music, very in keeping with you and your content, relaxing and peaceful
oh thanks!
Hi Erik, great to see a video from you today!! Glad you didn't spend your first night in a parking lot, but touristy stuff would definitely not be my thing. Nice you got to revisit an area you knew from back in the day.
Safe travels and I'm interested in knowing what you do if your caught up in the rain for a couple days while living in the car. Look forward to your next video!!
hey!
yeah- being stuck in rain for a few days is going to be a challenge in the car. i have a tent thing that can go over the back of the car if it’s light rain but i’ll probably have to relocate if it’s heavy rain. not real sure yet. guess it remains to be determined and how bad the weather gets on me.
thanks for your continued support!!
Bummed you misplaced your stuff, probably right next to the refrigerator power cord LOL! I know the feeling of forgetting something or not planning for something and it can be a pain. You brushed it off like a pro! Safe travels and hope the rain takes it easy on you bro!
@@nrolfsen thanks man. I actually found it all. oh rather, dan did for me. (dont worry, I still kicked him in the shins like you requested). up here visiting him for a few days. saw Tommy the other day. I know, I know. sucked. cheers man! miss you guys!
Stumbled upon your channel last night and Loving your content. Beautiful beach sunset.
awe, thanks! many more vids and special places to come
Show us the scorpion. Those things interest me. Love thunderstorms too!

Came across your channel when i was looking up teardrops but i must say i am now very invested and looking forward to see how your journey unfolds! wishing you fun and safe travels!
oh thanks!
Heyyyy Erik! I almost moved to PCB last year, the down season had me fooled, but once the end of March came it was terrible.
Don't move here. Ive been here 20 years. Not affordable and not a good place to live.
yeah i liked the area, but it was just a bit too busy for me. gorgeous beaches though
thanks for watching and commenting!
I guess I am wondering about the purpose of this adventure for example: Are you showing people how you could camp, travel, & work for a year on small budget? Are you going to show us some cool "off the beaten path" places to visit? Are you going to talk to local people about the best places to visit and get a non-tourist perspective? You are relateable which makes your videos nice to watch, but I'm wondering what you want to get out of this and why you chose to share? Good luck and wishes to you on your travels.
fair questions
yes, i travel full time in my car. traveling all over the country. in my little adventures i share how to travel full time (if you’re interested in it), how i find places to sleep, how i manage working on the road, how i deal with weather and so on. exploring new areas and environments. my channel is a bit of a cross-breed of sharing information and just pure entertainment. i’m just starting out on my journey- but in the past i’ve traveled the country for a year in a teardrop trailer. and most people had questions how i lived and worked that way. so this is how i share.
Florida beaches are so pretty. Care to share where/how you found the free Florida campsite, please?
they are! The site was called North Pond North. You can reserve a spot here: www.camplife.com/1168/reservation/step1
@@EscapingNormalLife thank you!
Oh wow, i know where you camped because I live just north of there.
beautiful spot!
Can either of you tell me where this camp spot is? I live by zoo world off of front beach road so if I had to guess, it looks somewhere down 79 a ways. Let me know if you can, thanks!
@@iletyouwin561 it was called Wolf Pond North. Here here is the reservation site: www.camplife.com/1168/reservation/step1
If you find yourself in western North Carolina and need anything, hit me up!
thank you!!
Hard to fully listen with music. I think the music is manipulative. Keep it real.
