Shout out to Santa Rosa County, moved here 3 years ago from CO as well, have met a lot of people from CO out here. Moving here was the best decision we could have ever made, it is beautiful, white sand beaches, emerald water, great fishing, little to no traffic (compared to Denver), love the schools, roads are kept up well, low crime, booming economy, people are all super friendly and helpful to others...couldn't ask to live in a better part of FL!
Thank you for the comment, love the county!
This was a very informative! My husband and I moving to Milton on the bay this month! Love your energy on all the videos!
Thank you for those kind words. Milton is such a cool small town, welcome!!!
Eglin Air Force base takes up the bottom portion of Okaloosa county. All of the military personnel who support the mission are the cause of the population increase in Okaloosa and Walton counties.
Thank you for the comment!
But Destin and 30A is where most of the counties money comes from.
I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🇺🇸
Thank you for the comment! Yeah it’s all about preference. The majority of people we help moving to the emerald coast are looking for a cooler winter than south Florida.
We are looking at moving from the western slope and are looking at the smaller beach towns east of Panama City. Do you have any videos fore that area?
Hello Dustin thank you for watching! Western slope is awesome we always traveled there during peach season in Palisade 😃 Unfortunately we aren’t too familiar with Panama City east.
I live in a beach town in the panhandle and I will tell you that it's not all it's cracked up to be.
Thank you for your comment. It’s all about preference, personally we love it.

I did also for alot of years. But in time it became awful.
And I had my dream job here. I am a retired charter boat captain.
I live in Columbia County and did live in Alachua county. I don't see how you have Alachua county in the panhandle. I think there is a mistake here.
Thank you for the comment, when recording we often make mistakes that thank you for the correction
How much will homeowner's insurance cost? I hear the panhandle does not get many hurricanes.
Thank you for watching. So homeowners is dependent on many factors which makes it hard to throw a number out there. To put it simply yes we are paying more than what we paid in Colorado but it’s not as bad as everyone made it out to be.
We are the most conservative area in the country. So conservative that we thought Ronald Regan was a communist. Riots not tolerated here. We have men. Our nick name is L.A. Lower Alabama.
Big reason we moved here!
#13 is Franklin County not Alachua
Yeah at times we misspeak in the video, thank you for pointing that out.
This is a transplants view.
Haha funny we used to called people moving into Colorado the same thing
I just have to point out some things…It not called Dust-Tin its called Des-Tin. Also, where you pointed on the map was more Ft. Myers area not outside Clearwater 😐 ….I’m in Ft. Walton area now for two month I live in Tampa area, I must say you missed out moving up there to Georgia I mean the Panhandle 🤭 Tampa area is by far probably the best area in ALL of Florida with the MOST Beautiful beaches panhandle does not compare. Tampa also has ‘A’ Schools. I’ve lived all over Florida (Jacksonville too) and Tampa is it! It has everything you need and if you need a little more(like Disney) it’s a quick and easy drive.
Thank you for watching! Agree to disagree, we experience beaches outside Tampa at least 4 times a year and the Emerald coast blows them away. Also our initial motivation to live into the Panhandle was to raise our kids in a more traditional way without the nonsense directed at kids these days. We often times run into things we didn’t like about Denver in the Tampa area.
Emerald Coast is the best, beautiful beaches, great traditional values, better schools.
